Sony SL-C6 Betamax - Final checks and a lacing issue.

This one's a little bit different insofar as we're returning to the Sony SL-C6 Betamax featured on Christmas Day to finish off a few little jobs. The most annoying one for me is forgetting the wiring loom placement after changing the lacing motor belt - something I always seem to forget to do!
Only a short one this week but lots more to come including a fun Sony C30 next week which looks far worse than it actually was!

💯⭐️🇹🇷👍 I have around 100 betamax and vhs devices in my warehouse, I have around 10000 betamax and vhs tapes, they are great devices.

Good job, as always! Nice to see such an old machine working again. There's just one small thing annoying me in your videos: the title music is way too loud compared to the rest of the video.

Sound in general is an issue - I do turn the theme music right down but even so it can still be too loud! Sorry it's a pin and I will try and do better 😊 Looking to improve the audio too this year once I've saved up a few pennies.

Suitable capacitors should be installed in the servo/tracking area, as some capacitors define the inertia of the system. Bright Components appears to have over 100000 fewer items than my favorite retailer. Even if the pun with Reel Issue unfortunately doesn't quite work, it doesn't hurt to roughen the tread of the plastic wheel so that the rubber will then work longer.

Absolutely - and some a quite critical too. I only bought from Bright as it was a small order and postage is cheap and they're super quick too. Got the order which I placed on Boxing day two days later. I agree on the roughing up of the unlace wheel - just makes it more reliable as the rubber ages.
