We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning ru-vid.comUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.

Preston McNair exceent review...I just bought one and I don’t know why when the battery went off I charged it for a whole day and when I tried to use it again volume turned down and ask me for charge again... charged it again for a whole day (didn’t know the time for full charge until this review) and keep happening the same thing of asking me to charge it. If have any clue about what’s going on I’llappreciate the help

Great review! Although the one thing i'm going to point out is that at 1:07 that's just dotted plastic front, and not a radiator (I mean, unless we're overclocking these puppies lol)

You can find teardown documentation online. It does have a pair of passive radiators as described, one in front and one in back.

One function that's not obvious is for putting the speakers into LDAC hi-res Bluetooth mode with an LDAC compatible device such as an Xperia phone. This does not happen automatically. To do this you hold down the + button then the power button while the unit is switched off and plugged in for charging. When the Bluetooth light flashes thrice it's in default Bluetooth mode. When it flashes twice it puts it into LDAC mode.

Just bought mine today, I was replacing my Blackweb Highwire bluetooth speaker and can't complain with my purchase. Bought it at Walmart brand new for $35.00, according to the Walmart employee Sony has a new line up so it's on super clearance. Hopefully I love this speaker because all the reviews I saw was either 4.7 or 4.8 stars out of 5.

You can't do a sound sample on RU-vid, because people are listening to this on different devices that may not have the same sound quality as the actual speaker!

I am Care giver! I have an opportunity to pick this and a Sony LF-S50G. I have a Google Mini and I just learned I can use this as a room to room intercom can these two Sony devices add to this experience? The Sony LF-S50G functions like that as a Google mini yet has a better speaker system and a display clock. will the SRS-XB20 also act like a Google mini? Do all of these connect by way of WiFi?
