Chrispy Things I just got the xb32 trust me it fantastic.. The difference is the mids loud and clear .. The hights are wonderful.. lots of baas... it’s so much better then the 31.. The big difference is the mids .........
I like them both love SONY speakers always looking for their latest releases. They released high end units this year and the XB13 so far. And still waiting to see if JBL RELEASES A FLIP 6
Well done review. A couple of things to note. The back of the XB32 houses a passive radiator, not an active speaker. There are two drivers/speakers up front, with another passive radiator. The lighting bands have a different pattern around the body of the speaker now compared to the XB31. One thing that is a real issue for some that you didn't mention is the output of the speaker dropping to 50% when the internal battery drains down to 20%. This cannot be changed and is a real gripe a lot of people have with the Sony line of portable speakers. The XB32 is also slightly larger than the XB31. The rubberized body of the XB32 is actually pretty durable and doesn't scratch/scuff very easily. I actually prefer it to the full fabric body of the XB31, but I didn't at first.
Anyone else experiencing this?: battery reaches about 50% and the volume automatically drops and tells me "recharge". I'm a "go loud or go home" kinda guy... This feature sucks. Does anyone know what's up with that?
Comes through the microphone crystal clear listening to you on my SONY XB32 it sounds great love the design of the XB12,xb22, and XB32 nice line up indeed I wonder if Sony is releasing the XB 24 etc or is it just the XB13 and those expensive speakers they released.
It's funny you mention the micro USB I'm not getting the speaker because of that one reason, I'm done with micro USB and refuse to buy anything with it anymore lol speaker is like 98$ right now.
I have this speaker. Less than 6 months of use. I use this at work (outside), running pretty close to 75-80% volume and I get about 8 hours of use. I do also like the low battery feature, which will automatically turn down the volume to a whisper. Letting you know that you have 10% or less battery life left.
Great review mate. You just convinced me to cancel my JBL Charge 4 order and get the Sony XB32. Should have it in couple of days. I’m an iPhone user and apparently the audio sync is fine watching Netflix or RU-vid. JBL isn’t great with video on iPhone. You agree ?
Hi there! Watched your review and decided to buy. It just arrived, and I turned it on and paired it to my laptop. The idea was/is to play my Itunes library, not my phone or RU-vid music. The problem is that in 5 minutes of playing my music library with speaker directly next to laptop, the sound is breaking up and sometimes disappearing briefly altogether. Help! Have I got a bum speaker, or something else going on?
@@ChrispyThings I paired it with phone, and it seems to play okay, but cuts out whenever I get a notification and once just stopped playing...oh, I see why now! Whenever I do anything on my laptop it jumps back to using bluetooth on my laptop from the phone. Is all this just stuff you have to put up with BT speakers, or does it sound like something is wrong with this particular speaker? Thought it was good to write all this to help anyone out there who may experience the same. I'm just a lady who wants to listen to her music, and don't get all this techie stuff!
Bought this speaker in the last year, and it is a complete piece of CRAP! It has given me nothing but trouble and grief since day one, including poor battery life, takes an eternity to charge, takes repeated attempts to connect to bluetooth (Highly inconsistent). Have repeatedly contacted SONY via their website, and they have been useless. In my experience, they do NOT stand behind their products. A complete and utter waste of money. Do NOT recommend!
You definitely have a lemon. Sony should’ve replaced this under warranty and not sure why they haven’t. My speaker still works flawlessly to this day. Good luck!
@@ChrispyThings Hi. I am living in Europe. Sony US told me to go through where I purchased and where I purchased told me to go through Sony. So at least if you purchase in Europe, Sony does not stand behind the warranty.
Hello sir i recently bought this speaker and i guess i have connectivity issues. when i play songs on other devices like my phone or echo dot they play perfectly but when i connnect this speaker sound is skipped and there's sometimes a lot of skipping and cracking of music. What should i do?
And sir the sony warranty card which they provide with speaker says warranty for one year from the date of purchase but under that it was written valid upto september 2020 so it the speaker out of warranty or not? Cause i purchased it last week
XB32 or xb41?? Are they keeping the 41 this year as their flagship recycled from last year? I recently put a custom rom on my tablet and the audio is HORRENDOUS now and I'm too lazy to install magisk and mess around I'd rather just have a decent speaker but I want to keep it for 5+ years

Lol I just saw this video after buying the 32. 😂 Haven't even tried it. One big con about this unit is *you have to charge it right at of the box* (which takes 4-5 hours). So yeah, still waiting on that. Whereas my other speaker by Black Web (I may or may not keep) came PRE-CHARGED. I work at a big-ass warehouse and others play their music really loud and I needed something to rival their music so I went big after being disappointed in buying the Black Web speaker with no different sound quality as my old one. This Sony unit seems great for people like me who like loud shit that blares. My fellow Prodigy, Pendulum, Infected Mushroom etc fans you KNOW what I'm talking about. I wanted something with a light show besides the speaker being super loud because I'm THAT kind of music fan. 😂 Here's hoping Sony comes up with a really loud-ass speaker that's in shape of a crystal-like disco ball that changes colors and you can turn them off with ease like my first speaker which is called Color Ball. lol That's my DREAM speaker! 😍💜 The XB32 looks like the closest thing I can get to my dream speaker so I decided to just snap it up! 😁 Crossing my fingers it will bump like I want it to bump! All the crazy specs make the XB32 seem pretty tight! 😍

Harshit Agarwal so the sony xb22 actually uses from 16 to 20 watts and the flip 5 have a 20 watt driver but they have the same loudness actually the xb22 is louder then the flip 5 and the sony xb32 have 32 watts and same with the 31 and I recommend the sony better then the jbl sense jbl is down grading there speakers to mono witch doesn’t do so well and the Sony speakers are more durable then the jbl speakers sense alot of people do complain about the water proofing of the speaker but the sony xb22 doesn’t have good battery life and I had it before and the amp and battery was alfunsioning but alot of people told me it was a lemon but I didn’t get a replacement yet but I am thinking of getting the sony xb32 and I was thinking about the jbl flip 5 but sony xb32 was 100 bucks witch is a very good deal for a speaker
Can the battery be replaced easily? It's a pet peeve of mine having to fire something into the landfill after 2 1/2 years because I used it all the time and the battery went.
Chrispy Things it’s good, I use it for small parties and when we have friends over, it sounds really good and my friends and family always ask where I got it because they want to purchase one as well lol
The 31 is more money than the 32. So 32 all the way. Yes if the 31 goes 100 or less then I’m looking at the 31. So I got the 32. Got to say the gimmicks are useless. Lighting sometimes maybe. But sound...I like it better than the Denon Envaya 250bt. Now the Sony 41 is Being discounted on price. So I’m waiting for that to arrive. Great video. The 42 better be a noticeable upgrade or it’s shooting yourselves in the foot. Good for us Sony still puts out quality
