Strohman is not the only one who caught up with the leader after the second lap. ;-)

Get out of here with your other state comparisons. This kid is a sophomore. 4:16 for a sophomore is solid. On top of the triple? That's extremely impressive as a sophomore

where's the competition though? Ryan Hall won my state meet back in 2000 with a 4:01

I know Noah strohman, and I’ve also ran against him. He needs more competition and faster runners on him from the start for him to actually run his fast times. I mean bro ran like a 4:07 off the start of track season.

@@my_fun_account6298 Great accomplishment, but he would have had to go: 1:50, 4:06 and 9:15 to do this in California

@@robertspies4695 this is 3A. Our 6A schools will go faster; and quite honestly our weather is way harder than y'alls. More than that, he's a sophomore and will probably go 4:06 late season, he may even have a shot at the sophomore national record.

@@rjcowan9568 Those are great times for a sophomore no doubt and he likely will be in the national conversation in the next couple of years. How long has he been training seriously? There are alot of great lowerclassmen (and women) around the country in the middle distances. My grandson is 1:58 and 4:18 so far in his freshman year and there are 4-5 better times in CA for freshmen. It is hot in Texas for your sprinters.

@@robertspies4695this was a tactical race as you can see they negative split by about 10 seconds. Strongman ran a 4:07 as a freshman last year

Impressive no matter where. Yet, California H.S. track is full of much better times in double efforts; 400/800 sub 47 and sub 1:49, mile 2mile 4:05 sub 9:00 often sub 8:50 and within a year or two of graduation never emerge on to the scene. Just look at the national records for the various events. Only one Galen Rupp ever medaled at a world class event.

Do away with classes and have a one day meet like Indiana does.

Why?
@baumsquad222
@baumsquad222 Месяц назад
@@monstereugene eliminating classes gives you a true state champion. And there’s really no need to have a HS state meet over multiple days. It makes the doubles more impressive when it’s on the same day.

@@baumsquad222 agree. it also makes qualifying for the state meet a bigger accomplishment

@@baumsquad222 I don’t care about how “impressive” the doubles are. I think it’s better to give those who race in many events the same chance to win. Though I agree having just one champ per event is better than 4 champs for each grade. It would be perfect if they had finals of the top 1 for each grade and the top 4 times to decide the event champ

Great race for a sophomore with poor form. He is likely to get better.
