Your trade skills are certainly evident, especially when you make jigs to replicate multiple parts to ensure they are all the same. Great problem solving skills also. Starting to look like an aeroplane. Nice. It must be very disappointing, the quality of the kit. You'd expect drawings like those that your mate gave you as part of it, surely. And the fuselage welds needing to be redone? Not a good ad for the kit company.
