Official lyric video from Soreption entitled "Breaking the Great Narcissist" taken from their 2014 release "Engineering the Void" on Unique Leader Records. www.indiemerch.com/uniqueleader/band/soreption itunes.apple.c...
Yeah this is seriously one of the best albums of 2014, one of the best modern bands, and holy shit I wish I knew them when deterioration of minds was out.
Woooww, mind bending...gave me that fresh feeling, once felt with Decapitated and Psycroptic....since those bands are not like before, i think we have a new king here! For sure, great way to start 2014.
Why is nobody comenting about how AWESOME that symphonic break is? Totally unexpected yet epic as fuck. YES!! A new album to look forward to next year.
And yes the symphonic break was totally unexpected by me. I about dropped through the floor when I heard it. Fit so so well to the entire song. Now that I've heard it I believe the song wouldn't be the same without it. What can I say guys.....some of these dudes just don't jack around.....they don't know how to suck, and I thank these bands everyday for exactly that.
Eh, it's super cheesy. About 99% of bands who use symphonic elements are terrible. It's no different than a catchy lyric in a pop song. Simple-minded people hear a sudden change and think "Wow, so cool".
another great band from unique leader. one of the only metal labels that releases one quality band after another thank you! and i will def b buying this cd this song is increadable
These guys are just amazing.. immaculate guitar work by Anton.. Rikard's thunderous percussive bass just makes those heavy grooves so perfect.. Tony Westermark is a beast; as tight and precise, if not more than any extreme metal drummer out there. Fredrik's vocals are the icing on the cake.. I love the way he throws the lyrics in there, so good.. I love this band.
I was really iffy on this at first, but I find myself coming back to it multiple times now. I'm actually really interested to see how the whole album turns out.
Holy shit, there's so much to be appreciated here, the jarring time changes, the cold grooves(I see the Decapitated reference here slightly), that symphonic interlude, and I dig the leads in the outro. Just unique sounding
Yea man, I mean 3:18-3:55 is so typical...Lol. This band has some serious talent. Those riffs are some of the best I have heard in awhile and his leads sound amazing. Even check out the riffs in the background of the solos.
I'm sure all of you have thought of this already.....This is just one song. :) This will be the surprise album of 2014. (Not that I would be surprised, just in general) These guys deserve a break and now is better than ever with all the ways of getting promoted. These are some hard working bro's doing some absolutely stellar work in the metal community. When I wake up in the morning I don't go for the Folgers....I grab a big metal cup of Soreption!! Better tour the US! HAIL SOREPTION!!
This sounds fucking amazing. Only thing that doesn't stand out are the vocals. Sure, they fit. But expected something a bit more diverse for this album. Can't wait to throw money at the screen for this
This is the cheapest official lyric video (if you even can call it that) that I have ever seen! It must have taken whoever did this 30 minutes to make it. 20-25 minutes to make the album art move a little and glow, and 5 min to add the text and the band picture! Just cheap! But the music ain't bad tho!
3:36-3:37 is just bad songwriting. There's no connection at all making it sound like the next song starts. I love everything else but that part breaks the whole song for me.
sdry What is typical in this? Do you play an instrument? For me, typical tech death relies too much on playing "licks" and not "riffs" but this band has some serious riffs here. I wish you could hear it.
why in the world would anyone come to a video of a band he does not like and comment shit on it??? If you do not like the band go fuck yourself - who cares anyway???
