you can set all the keys in the options menu, but standard is (for XBox 360): X=A Y=B B=K A=G And for PS3: Square=A Triangle=B Circle=K X=G

ABKG is the Arcade notation, which, in addition the 123456789 directional notation, will be what you see when people discuss moves and tactics/combos, especially across platforms. A == button for horizontal attacks B == button for vertical attacks K == button for kick attacks G == button for guarding

Also, mid horizontals, along with verticals, will stuff practically all of his moveset.

that's a force parry. Press B+K to parry an opponent's attack at "just" timing to do it. When it happens, just press A+B to do the lift. Hope this helps.

The Charge Strike has ridiculous knockback, I really don't even see how that's possible.

@MrEpixdude to make an opponent's Soul Gauge flash red you basically have to attack them so much that the gauge changes color to red then do an attack strong enough to break their guard. And in case you're curious once the gauge is flashing and their guard is broken press L1 or R1 depending on the console to do a Critical Finish. Hope that helps.

the "k" is just a reference thing, if you pause the game and go to character move list part it tells you what the letters mean and what button they represent (i dont know why they did that, to me its just more headache trying to figure out what to do)

yea im confused about the letters but with the apprentice or Starkiller, its easy to memorize those controls.

Ah, I see, well, I believe you may have misread something there. You see, I talked about a "training dummy", with which I meant the character you choose as opponent in Training Mode. Only with a comma there (...training, dummy.) it would have conferred the meaning you were thinking about, but it can happen and your apology is accepted.

It's like this... Xbox 360/PS3 Controls: Y/Triangle: B X/Square: A A/X: G B/Circle: K As soon as your opponent's gauge is flashing red and he/she guards when you strike him/her, he/she will experience Soul Crush. This is when you press G+A+B+K at the same time to pull off the character's Critical Finish.

Just go into Training mode and set the first Free Style option to All Guard on the training dummy. That way you can train CF.

i just got this today but i need a training partner for my critical finishes so i dont want to fight fight i just need some one to guard and just let me work with my critical finishes

dude you forgot the levitation kick i got like a four combo of levitation kicks cause the guy wouldn't stop blocking

But they have to flinch back first after their guard breaks in order for you to do the critical finish.

hmmm think you should have added in the 28B+G followup mash 2_8 so that Yoda will do alot more hilt strikes and then it ends with a B. 76 damage instead

Thankfully, if your style is mostly mid attacks, you just need to drop throws from it.

@MrMarty248 He's not referring to Xbox360 but to the game itself. G stands for Guard and K stands for Kick. Guess that makes you the smart one now, doesn't it?

Yoda stabs lunges a lightsaber onto someones chest. Then the little bugger proceeds to jump on to the poor fella and violently pull it out as he staggers in pain. Makes me cringe and laugh at the same time.

9B+G??? no such command... if u meant by 2B+G_A+G nope can't grab him nor airgrab. only Vader can do that with grounded 4A+B. can't really say he's totally broken though, since there's lots of stuff that is unblockable to him

can you grab him with astarith's 9+bg grab? still yoda looks broken to me. not only will online be more of a hassle now that theres more players playing this character.

@yonglimon that was because Obi-Wan became one with the force when Vader sliced him, so better Example: Episode I: Obi-Wan slices Darth maul in Half! (though some how he survived and is back in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series.)
