@@carterconway7343 lol dont say to quickly, Yhorm has good hp and poise, but black knights are absolutely insane in groups, the stagger is impossible to withstand, even for Yhorm, he would maybe win against 5/8 of them, not much more
@@simonshephard3834 In a previous group vs group, Yhorm got staggered into oblivion by Sulyvahn and friends. The Black Knights presumably have a similar level of stagger damage.
That is a completely accurate description of my experience with Nameless King and Prince Lothric, I usually have a lot of patience when it comes to bosses in Souls, but when it came to Nameless King in particular, I just didn't. I realised my biggest grievance with both was their hyper aggressiveness leaving little time for healing. I just summoned Sir is and Orbeck for the Princes and some random guy for the King to break the aggro
@Salacious Arts Seriously. They beat SoC into phase 2 both times Archdragon Peak won, and even in the second match, they almost got him there, without much input from the King of the Storm either.
@@MSte21 Definitely. The only problem with round 2 was that the focus of the battle was entirely on the serpants. King of the storm neither distracted nor helped with his aoe because he was missing or hitting 2 black knights. Overall everybody did a good job on serpants team.
@Salacious Arts they are weak tbh...if we put bk vs sm bk will probally fck them without problem...the king of the storm is just too broken bcoz they dont know to attack the fkcin heas
@@noah9942. Splintering Lightning Spear was terrible. Didn't even have that appearance (was more of a glowing ring), had bad damage, and was nearly impossible to aim. I will admit that adding some tracking to it in this game would have been nice however, since Faith builds lost their main wakeup Miracle (Heavenly Thunder) in 3, no I won't acknowledge Pillars of Light. Then again, Soul Shower wasn't treated well, so perhaps it was better it stayed out.
@@harryunderwood9387 Yeah, Binding Bolt was a better alternative to Splintering Lightning Spear, although BOTH spells are better utilized as area control/area denial spells rather than outright damage.
How the hell you did such a amazing introduction, like, holyshit, the camera close to the burning coil sword, the nameless king going down, that was just incredible.
5:53 Is too funny, soul of cinder is just chilling on the high ground spamming magic and looking like he’d be saying “feed him to the lions” if he could speak. A mirror image of a pontiff gank squad.
Honestly I'd kill for a RTS with all the FromSoftware characters, but that would take longer to release than Elden Ring 2, Scholar of the First OoOoOoOoOh Edition.
Not at all. I've always wanted a game where rather than playing as the guy who sacrifices themselves to rekindle the flame, you play as the Gwyn/Vendrick character who builds the subsequent era.
That 2nd fight. You can tell the black knights made it personal. Poor Nameless couldnt even move. Also most cinematic moment is Soul of Cinder (Gwyn) casting his lightning storm and it just obliterating K.O.S.
It's the most awesome group battle. As far as the duels go, I really like these two. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ioHG8s6xZFE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S8I0VflD0Po.html
To be a champion of flame, to be a dark lord, to be one who breaks a endless cycle, one must understand souls, souls of men, souls of lords, souls of gods, and souls of monster. The thing to understand is that souls are impossible to destroy or create. The only thing a soul will truly do, is change or shift. That is why, when one of the last great battles began, the Soul of Cinder felt something shift and move in it, something came to the surface and took control. That thing was the Soul of Gwyn, staring at his son who had taken back his title. His title as a god of war. He gripped the coiled blade he so long ago plunged into the fire, to link it to the dark, and rushed forward. The scattered knights could see the change, the shift in the Cinders and rallied behind it, remembering when they had so long ago charged with Gwyn to fight The Everlasting Dragons of old.
5:23 the cutscene takes place in the sky high above Anor Londo and Lothric in the space above Gael’s boss arena, the golden shy looks so cinematic and you can see the destroyed structures from the box cover and opening cutscene, as well as Anor Londo, very cinematic seeing as how this is Gwyn’s son
My fave bit is the combo at 7:55 that guard breaks a serpent-man and one of the BKs rushes in with a charge stab to finish it off. AI really do have neat moments in this game
Should've included a smattering of the Silver Knights greatbow archers to counter the ranged axes and fire breath of the Man-serpents and the chain-greataxe variants. Maybe reduce the black knight numbers a little bit to compensate for such. In an AI battle, ranged attacks are king so far as support.
Yea if the storm drake decides to tank a bit since no head damage the chain boy and his goons would range spam them to death, the dragonslayer guys would also deal some damage or might get the storm drake away from the black knight horde. Also I feel the soul of cinder might be to random of a fight to properly be appreciated in many of these fights, being mage was super good, but he never did that again.
@@MrMisteryWillTube nah he did but sadly it didn't really help. If he focuses the snake people at the start together with his black knights he will win, as we saw but his second phase hasn't done anything good.
Even in phase II, it's a gamble since SoC can try to use moves that aren't particularly useful such as trying to spam sorceries against does in his face or melee attacks on targets further away
Yeah with King of the Storms support, the serpents were favored to win but in the second fight, Chosen Undead had an opportunity and he didnt squander it, without King of The Storms support, he and the army mopped the serpents rather easily and focused on him when all of them are dead, Nameless King was killed Yhorm Irythyll Gangbang Style, the third is just, come on Chosen Undead focus on the fucking armies before you try to fuck up your son.
Love how after the Big Fancy Cutscene the Nameless King just gets COMPLETELY BODIED by the handful of Black Knights that were left standing with like 5% health...! Couldn't get out a single attack! (Get that POISE, buddy!)
BonfireVN... you're the real hero of 2020. All year long! when nameless king came in that was some straight out of game of thrones shit. Keep the content coming all 2021🙏🏽🍻 we'll be watching
Dude you should make a Dark Souls movie. I know it would take a while, but you have a talent with this stuff man, you make these fights seem so cinematic.
if only soul of cinder had the brain to use it's modes strategically, switching to trashy magic would actually be beneficial in this fight. but no, curved sword go swish swoosh.
So, I know dark souls AI isn't *that* advanced, but in round 2, SoC and the knights applied a pretty good tactic. They picked off all the serpents, not giving too much attention the the King of Storms. Once all opposing units were gone, they could take out the dragon and then just *punish* the Nameless King. Two words: Action. Economy.
King of the Storm is for me the hardest DaS3 boss by a mile and this vid really shows that. Almost every time I beat KotS I go on to beat Nameless. Nameless has genuinely killed me less times than Pinwheel and Covetous Demon (sloppy overconfidence on low level runs mostly to blame for that.)
7:50 Watch here as Big Boss Soul of Cinder lays into the King of the Storm and finishes with a big fire AOE; this knocks away the guard of a serpent man, and with the tightest display of co-ordination ever seen, a black knight follows through on his bosses' attack and stabs the broken serpent man directly through the chest, finishing him, and then slams down on another man, finishing him too. Round 2 was canon for me.
Oh, how surprising it was that the army with the air raid boss and units with ranged options won, whooptidoo. I say in a sarcastic tone. Mayhaps an army of Black Knights with Silver Knight Archers mixed in would have faired better.
