I agree and would add that she is the only singer who totally lives the song she is performing. There is no artifice in Angelina. She is the most openly, transparent person I have ever come to know in my over 90 years.

Angelina is a polished professional genius that has been wowing crowds since she was 6 years old. All of the professional voice teachers who have reacted to AJ over the years have been astonished at her abilities and find it difficult to describe her because they have never experienced anyone like her. If you view all of her performances you would be aware they are all at prodigy level. She is 15 here and every performance is beyond belief.

Great reaction Tom. Welcome back to musical perfection. To quote one of the NGT judges, Angelina IS music. She is such a perfectionist. Notice that she's not wearing any nail polish in keeping with the black and white and old style. I also LOVE watching her sing as much as listening to her. If you're in the mood for some time travel, you should listen to her 4 NGT performances. Otherwise, her Queen cover The Show Must Go On is incredible. Yellow Brick Road from AGT is also one of my faves. Her runs in that song are unequaled.

Great, thanks! It's funny that so many people say, "She's got guts, to cover 'this' song". Then they admit she gives a brilliant rendition of whichever song it is... Angelina can take a song like I Put a Spell on You or Bohemian Rhapsody or Billie Jean-and she can demonstrate that musical fearlessness you mentioned by giving us an arrangement that startles us initially, but we love after just a few seconds. Or she can take a song like this one and stay fairly close to Adele’s original version, but show us what she can really do with her voice. Her vocal flexibility, range, and particularly the vocal textures she gives us are truly stunning at both a technical and emotional level. Adele wrote a spectacular song, and she sings it beautifully. Angelina sings it like no one else because no one else has the vocal tools she does.

In a world of major artists using autotune and other studio tricks to sound good, Angelina gos old school with unmatched pure gold classic vocals🥰 Angelina has ruined me in listening to other singers, in comparison they all seem to be lacking. I feel the exact same way. It's as if other singers sing in 2D, and AJ does it in 3D. She's the new standard to compare against for a whole branch of singers. Last night I heard a very good norwegian singer doing Rhiannas "Stay", while having Angelina singing it in my head. Very unfair but I cant help it. It makes me so happy for Angelina, and for all music lovers!

She covers what she covers because she loves great music. Her other Adele covers match the originals too. And their voices are, as you say, a lot alike. I love the she adds that belting energy at the end. Where Adele emphasizes sadness, Angelina touches some frustration--and drops right back to the sadness, brilliant. It's a brilliant performance of a brilliant song.

Tom, the beautiful uniqueness of her voice captures our attention with a smile after only a couple of notes. And, besides that, we recognize she is, without question, an accomplished artist. She will eventually be choreographing entire Concerts, introducing originals galore and definitely will be on the Big Screen one day starring in a movie and I don't just mean singing a James Bond movie theme song. I mean acting in a starring role. Angelina and the camera hit it off very well. She's a natural. Unfortunately for me (and a lot others like me) we may not be around when some of these things occur. Father time has a date with us. But, we enjoy every moment watching her growth, musically and personally, and we will hang around for as long as we can. She warms the heart and we all share her love. Tom, listen to her sing 'Crazy'( Patsy Cline). There are several versions, Choose one where she performs with a band. I like them better than just her and the guitar player. The melody of one of the greatest songs of all time should not be compromised.

I think you hit it on the head. She's not just covering songs. She is Excelling in them. She's blowing them up. Her versions are like a whole new animal. This is an amazing human being. She just oozes talent from every sound she makes. I would also say that I'm an old dude. She's hitting notes and doing variations that I have NEVER heard before. You could say she's using some older stylizations. But she's DEFINITELY doing something new. She's doing things I've never heard anyone do. An Original. I'm hoping she eventually goes full Judy Garland so we get to see her sing on the big screen. Although a lot of the singers she is compared to never did that.

What a wonderful reaction Tom. To think that this 15 year old young lady ("still a child as lyrics say") can sing this great Adele song with so much passion and emotion that it just rips into your heart and soul. I find myself holding my breath (not a good thing) while she is singing. Have to think she relates to this song in her own way given that she has been performing since age 6 and has to be hard on her though this is what she "choose to do" but she has great family support and it shows in the kind of person she is. Nice to see Grandma Mery there in studio at the beginning too, means the world to Angelina. 2 thumbs up Tom and a new Sub.

I have known Angelina since she was about two years old. Over the years she has sung individually to me many, many times. Often when walking with her in one of the parks in Oslo (like Frogner Park) she would be holding my hand as she skipped and jumped along laughing and playing. Then we would sit down on a bench and after a little while she would ask if she could sing a “new song” she had just learn to see if I liked it. These new songs she sang to me were almost always Jazz and Blues songs from the 30’s, 40’s, and the 50’s. She would stand up in front of me and start to sing and the whole world shifted around me. Whether she was six years old or nine or twelve it made no difference. That voice you hear that she has now was always there. Of course it has developed and gotten greater and greater over the years but the essence of her voice was already there. She would sing to me and those soft breathy high and middle notes were perfect and her switch between chest and head voice was perfect. I was speechless every time. She seemed to reach into a river of song flowing through the universe and pulled it into herself then let it flow back out transformed and made poignant and heartbreakingly beautiful. After she stopped singing I would praise her and she would laugh and hug me then ask me for an iced cream cone. Then she was back to the little girl she was before the song began. While singing she seemed ageless and timeless. She still does. I don’t get to see her quite as much these days but she calls me often to touch bases either on the phone or by FaceTime. She often sings a new song she is considering recording or an original she just wrote and asks me how I like it. I can tell you also that when we talk she laughs a lot. She is the most kindhearted, gentle, empathetic, generous human being I have ever, or will ever, know. Her family completely protects her from the bad elements in the music industry. She never goes anywhere without one of them with her: either her uncle Mike, her mom, or her grandmother. She does not enter any room unless one of them or more is with her. She is also guarded well when she performs concerts or any other types of venues. This young girl is so dedicated to helping the children in need in our world. She cannot bear to see a child hungry or in danger or in need of clothing etc. She is tender hearted also. I can say without a moments hesitation she is the kindest most loving soul I will ever know. I would not trade knowing her for anything in the universe. There is no ceiling on what she can accomplish in this world. I hold her precious and love her. She is pure, innocent, kind, intelligent, gifted, and blessed to have family around her whole love her deeply. We all do. She is so empathetic. I remember once I had a bad cold some years ago and she sat by me holding m6 hand and stroking my forehead telling me I would be well soon. She sang to me song after song. And she was right. Not long after she tried to take care of me and sang to me I started feeling better. She has a healing presence. I do not mean this in some religious, goofy laying on of hands way. I mean her voice, her singing brings peace and healing to the heart and soul. Thanks for reacting to her. It is obvious you love her music. Keep posting your reactions. Thanks again.

I am so happy that you mentioned how Angelina takes on some of the hardest songs by big stars she always does I usually hear criticism in her vocals when singing songs from Whitney Houston and yes Adele what amazes me is I remember before NGT little Angelina in her home studio singing Whitney and I thought how is that possible for me no one has the ability to touch your soul like Angelina and her song choices I know her grandma is a big inspiration and influence to her but what child singer sings the songs Angelina started singing I mean Frank Sinatra, Screaming Jay Hawkins just to begin to name a few and I am not taking away anything from the very talented young singers we have today I am 60 years old always listened to music as a way to calm myself I have never heard anyone touch my heart and soul like Angelina not to mention her classy style from her closeness to her family her elegance in the way she dresses and I have to be honest the ones who did criticize Angelina for her choices of songs not even most Adults could sing and here is Angelina singing them from 6 years old and on well I know we all will not like Angelina like us her fans do but you either went into the song with a preconceived opinion thinking Angelina couldn’t do your favorite Artist justice or you are tone deaf but that is ok so thank you for talking about that absolute hard songs Angelina sings and not only sings she honors the original makes the song her own and is bringing back songs we have let go to the back of our minds because of the style of music today well done thank you sou much for your kind words a member of Angelina’s fan club

I never tire of listening to this performance. And I loved your comments, she is truly fearless in taking on challenges, and with very few exceptions her covers of the classics are as good as or better than the original versions.. Angelina has always had the ability to inhabit a song so completely that her passion cuts right into your heart. Now that her vocal skill has started to catch up to her otherworldly ability to communicate emotion all that's left is some good songs and it's world domination time.

She is amazing. Covering an Adele classic only a few days after its release. Adele released her great new album, 30, while 15-year-old Angelina is showing much of the emotion of this highly personal and authentic masterpiece of a song. And by the way, it isn't that easy to cover such a moving song. This is a testament to both the composer and her rising younger sister of touching meaningful art.

I was not a fan of Adele until I heard Angelina do some covers of her songs and now, I am a fan of AJ doing Adele covers. Angelina can cover anyone and make their songs an absolute dream work, and she is not locked in to jazz she can sing any, and everything.. As usual; AJ has taken this to an ethereal level she is without a doubt a genius. There is something that is so special about AJ and It is not just her wonderful voice; it is her total being that draws one in. Remember she is only 15 but has been astonishing people since she was 6 years old.

When Angelina started to sing your face was a total picture and I could see how surprised you were just like we all are. Angelina has proved that she is amongst the greatest of the great singers. Angelina has proved it at the age of 15 maybe in a few years time she will be the most brilliant singer of all time. She can make any cover her own and takes us on an emotional journey every time as good as, if not, better than the original. Great reaction Tom I felt every tiny ounce you felt I could see it in your face, she has been call a true empath as she can covey the true emotional feeling behind any song ,and I am beginning to believe that. Tom, sir, lets pray for her grandma, to live many more years. After loosing her friends Amici and a member of the royal family in 2018 to suicide, her paternal grandpa died shortly after, and in November 2019 she lost her beloved maternal japanese grandpa (she inherited his generosity, to help less fortunate people), this year her dearly loved mentor and grandma Mery Zamany had to undergo a surgery. AJ went almost nuts with worries. In the beginning you see Mery and AJ sitting together. You sir and your lovely family stay save and healthy, God bless. German greetings.

Angelina is someone who is firmly rooted in the jazz genre since she was a little girl whereas Adele is considered great, for sure, but essentially a non-jazz singer. I don't believe a non-jazz singer, and this includes Adele, is not able to penetrate the depths of the human soul as deeply as a true jazz singer like Angelina can. Adele sings and you get Adele. Angelina sings and you get nuance and inflections she borrows from great jazz singers like Billie Holiday (breathy, soft,) and radical like inflections from Amy Winehouse, who was the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time, added to her own personal style. The result is extraordinary and separates her from any and all 'heartfelt' ballad singers.........ever !

She doesn't think in those terms. She chooses music by sound and content. She doesn't worry about the magnitude, or what might seem as a direct challenge to the other singers reputation. Angelina would be the first one to acknowledge the other artists place in the Pantheon of greatness. Never putting herself as either a superior or, as an equal. Angelina is more like paying homage to Adele who Angelina loves her and her music.

I have seen Adele's live performance, but unfortunately she can't reach the high notes anymore, perhaps her vocals are seriously damaged, who knows. Angelina sang this live as well, but with her it looked effortless. That's the advantage of being young. I'm looking forward to her stuff in her twenties.
