You didn't mention the codecs, which is kind of a big deal. You can't be "mature enough" to understand sound quality if you're using Spotify to listen to your music. The Opera05 have LDAC to compliment their triple driver system, while the 3ANC only have AAC. If you use Spotify, then that's not an issue, but since you're talking "sound quality", then anyone actually looking for that would have access to Qobuz or Tidal HiFi Plus. Listening to either of those and you can tell the difference.
I was looking at both of these, but a flash sale on Amazon just popped up so I snagged the 3ANC for $129. I figured for that price I had to bite. Thanks for the honest review.
I was hoping that you would compare the sound quality since both buds are known for their sound quality. For example, how do their bass, mids, and treble compare? What music genres sound best for each and overall which bud has best sound quality?

I bought the status ones and returned them. They have very bad noise cancellation and very bad transparency mode and they are too big and ugly, very uncomfortable for my ears. All the time I felt like I had something hanging from my ears about to fall and I had to adjust them every time. At the moment, the controls are very clumsy and unresponsive, very bad experience, in future versions I should completely redesign the ugly design and size for something more ergonomic and simple and not so flashy, in terms of audio, they are the best headphones I have ever tried And look, I have a long list, the Sony In ears, the controls work perfectly, they have decent anc and transparency mode, not the best but usable, for me the status 3anc have better sound than all those mentioned, including the Nura true pro, now called denon perl pro. but all the other negative things overshadow the audio quality, without status people reading this message and reviewing the headset it would surely be a top seller, because there must be many out there like me who don't buy them because of the ugly and crude design
