What a boat! This has to be one of my favourite videos ever! When he really opens it up out on the open water from 13:00 onwards the view forwards is surreal, its like you are passing through into another dimension, I want a ride in one of these boats so bad!
Just amazing going along for the ride with you. Thanks for sharing your incredible boat with us. Your Dad is cool. I hope he lets you drive some time. Glad the problem is just sensors, not something worse.
Great video !!! The ZRC is an amazing boat. With 1075’s it’s untouchable. Of course along with those motors, you get the pleasure of dealing with constant tweaking to keep running. If it’s just IAC’s - this was no big deal. I enjoyed my 38ZR for 7 years - but I had my share of limping back on one motor days. As you said it’s part of the game. The good days make it all worthwhile. Looking forward to the next video
Yeah man she's a beast. My old man just did some big upgrades now each engine has 1200hp it should do 130+mph now it's almost ready to go back in the water 😎
Those Cats with the twin outboards are much more reliable and a lot quieter then that old Donzi is lol. She is a beautiful boat but holy shit that's a bunch of money to keep that thing going!!
Shit happens. Hang in your doing great. One of the best video s I in have seen (. We are in the run with you) not looking in.. I felt like you were running about high ,90 when you were wide in open. I don't know what you have in the way of engine or outdrives
Subbed !! The on board footage from this trip was THE best I've seen on YT to give me a real feel for what these beasts are really like. Very impressive. When you shouted 'lets go get that Cat' and the hammer really went down hard, that was amazing. What does this Donzi do top speed with the 1075's? Also is there an appreciable difference in speed and rough water capability between this Donzi and say a Top Gun 38 with similar engines? Thanks. I will keep watching out for more uploads.
Thanks for subscribing man 🤙we are still prop testing but the fastest she's been so far is 128mph. Best way I can describe a Top Gun compared to the Donzi ZRC is; the Top Gun is like a LS turbo swapped 240sx ( loud and rowdy). The zrc is like a fully bolt on S63. ( very fast but smooth and classy looking) we have owned both boats for many years and that is my prospective.
@@travisfraser6306 The boat belongs to the gentleman who is driving, Who also just happens to be his father! So yeah I’m sure he knows quite a bit about everything that’s going on, After all a boat this size does require an extra hand!
I have run a Donzi BlackHawk for 3 years now its got a Supercharged 502 with good heads, cam ets with a 1050 Quick fuel carb. Its fast (relatively speaking) and very reliable to date!
You need to go to Tres Martin driving school. No correction with the steering wheel, wrong side of channel markers, in everyone's way. Starting out going the wrong way in the middle of the channel.
@@boatvibes words of wisdom- try not to step on anything but the blowers( top of engine) when going into engine bay, stepping on the exhaust pipe could have cracked a weld or pulled it from the manifold and create an exhaust leak.
@@jaxrican1 If you're gonna have that much front end in front of the helm there damn sure better be a cabin of usage space. Otherwise it is just useless.
If it's the same IAC that cars and trucks have its a Idle Air Control Sensor which is in the throttle body of the engine and It works with the idle air control valve to measure the air at idle and keep the engine running by letting air around the throttle blade thru a passage controlled by the idle air valve
Whilst I would have confidence in the ability of the Donzi at these speeds I would not have the same level of confidence with this particular skipper. He doesn't seem to be connected to the boat, or, confident in dealing with the wake conditions from the other powerboats. 👎⚓🚤
