It's not filter "kapee" unless you repeatedly transfer it from one tiny steel cup to another for atleast 10,000 times with the two cups 2 feet apart and the bystanders going woooow ......
Have been following your channel for a while now! Seeing you with a Kaapi filter is just mind-blowing. Add some hot whole-fat milk with some sugar to turn this brew into an authentic South Indian Filter Kaapi I am sure you will love it😁
1) The South Indian filter coffee is a milk-based drink -- this is like titling the video 'Cappuccino', but only making the espresso. 2) South Indian filter coffee generally contains chicory, which is an unmissable component as it shakes up the entire flavour profile of the coffee.
This looks soo satisfying and fun but I could never do it, just washing my 2-pc French press once a week drives me crazy😂 I’ll happily watch instead haha
This is too peaceful. My experience of filter coffee is at a busy restaurant with a bunch of people talking loudly with no regard for their surroundings 😂
This looks great! Just few tips from a South Indian You’re coffee setup should come with another perforated plate with long sleeve and hot water goes on top of it. We extract thicker decoction and in order to do that we maintain 50:50 ration of coffee grounds to hot water Last, it is traditionally consumed with milk and sugar and is frothed by pouring it back n forth between 2 cups. Also guys please don’t pay 100s of dollars for this coffee setup. You can get it in South India for 10 dollars or less. And you should get it for somewhere close to this price on Amazon in your country. Happy coffee drinking ☕️ cheers!
This is called Chennai filter coffee. It is located in South India and is one of the strongest coffees in Eurasia(my opinion). It is served in a small brass cup with a flat lip that extends out.
Sometimes you can just make a concentrated cup of coffee and just dilute with more hot water on the end. There was a brief bit where he actually grinded the coffee finer than usual so it'll be more like espresso-strength.
It's a slow espresso-ish mode with a lot of body. So it does look different. If you've tried a similar metal mesh based option and disliked, I guess you won't like this either
