I'm a fan of all 4 bands. Honestly, when TC hit the scene nobody knew how to handle them and they were blowing EVERYONE out! Then they hit the field (lawd, why?!), and then they made the mistake of blowing at SU with half of SU's band present at the Mardi Gras. Ever since that battle SU has had their sights on TC, and they been up in dat azzz... LOL!! I actually felt bad for TC, because of the 4 bands that were there, THREE of them were better than TC. P.S.; It's not "Cutting through a band" if you start playing during the sousaphone breakdown, that's why TC's sound disappeared when SU turned their FULL SOUND back on.
Viveca Pope SU fan 4 life I feel you but JSU is the one band that held their own during this battle. In fact, there are several debates as to whether they won - and a lot of them are "Juke" fans.
GVocalz true I understand what you are saying to me rather SU or JSU won they both was blowing and Lord knows they was playing their instruments very talented kids but people gonna always say their band won rather they did or not you know how that goes lol I think a lot of it is just trash talking
DatBoiByrd813 Soundz back then they didn't, they had a powerful sound. As time went on the more their weaknesses were exposed and they seemingly had NO desire to fix them, and THAT'S WHY they're considered "Trash" now. I can't hate on Dega, as a band in it's infancy stage they stomped with the BIG DAWGS (the SWAC). Check the videos from their 1st year of existence

Well I mean, they have a game against JSU every year but not Talladega so of course they would focus on Talladega every chance they can get because who knows the next time they will meet up.
Southern arrangements were indeed entertaining but JSU overall had A. Power that somehow match southern, and B. Less mistakes. Overall JSU was just the better group this time. At boombox classic tho, Southern got their retribution.

I was just in Talladega this year and I was in a band and about 5 more bands were their. A few of Talladega's band members told me that if your from New Orleans dont come to Alabama because we cant play or march and keep in mind their in college were in middle school and high school so were not as good as them

Not defending Talladega but at the time Southern started playing, Talladega wasn't even playing that loud so of course SU would be heard over Talladega.

I'm not a fan of either but Dega was putting out some serious heat. If you went by the title I thought SU murked these guys but that wasn't the case. I'm unbiased and I approve this message.
But is it fair to the audience who paid their money to hear four bands play songs when bands cut each other off so you can't clearly hear the other band's performance? I know all of the bands seems to be doing it these days but really, I want to hear all of the bands, and I want to hear them clearly without interruption so I can make my own decisions as to who was the best. Cutting bands off like that interferes with me being able to make that decision and I don't appreciate it.
