Naw son.....truth be told JSU went to SU and was the better band. I even said it! But, I also said SU was gonna punish JSU on Nov 16th. That's exactly what happened. JSU wasn't the same they have been all season. SU was better zero q and halftime. The 5th q was a slaughter! JSU tried to match everything SU played and failed point blank. Then, all the ppl that pointed out all the repeated songs played all year couldn't say shit because JSU started to panic after surgery and started "repeating" songs lmao. Dude, have a nice day! Like I said, see you next year! PS: JSU had a good year but SU is just better! I was there and the footage shows it
MrKountrykane I was there. Didnt need footage. But, not sure what you heard but it's not close to what your saying. SU won hands down! SU is the most complete band in the SWAC. JSU is 2nd. I was anticipating this battle and quite frankly JSU let me down. They weren't bringing any smoke. So, maybe you need to get those ears checked. But it's ok, it's always next year
Charles Ross bro I’ve seen all The footage and it’s nowhere near what JSU fans are claiming. SU was punishing them start to finish. JSU got a couple of blows in there but overall it was a sweep. The Zero was close but the 5th was an ass whooping lol best song for JSU was Highest in the Room and that Aerosmith in the 5th. That’s it.
The first and second song my the boom slaughtered 😩 I just need better song selections after that 🤦🏽♂️if they lost the 5th its the band directors fault
Is it just "ME", or is JSU simply easier on the ears, more melodic, less noisy? It just seems like Southern is screaming the tune, whereas JSU's projection is as adequate, just smoother. JSU instrumentation is on point! Southern doesn't seem to allow the song to bteath, but rather, they appear to "attack" every note, almost frantically.
IMO zero quarter for me comes down to who had the better song selections. Both bands were tit for tat. I didn't care for the song Jsu played @18:25 and I think Su played Gangsta paradise or the song from dangerous minds the arrangement wasn't that good but it was still a better selection than Jsu song at 18:25. With that being said I give the slight edge to Su for zero quarter.
Boy these JSU fans are like cowboys fans lol.. y’all upper brass been struggling for the last couple of years and this year is no different. The LB is saving y’all from getting demolished. They f-horns are nice with it, not as strong as last year but still nice. Bones are always on point and this is by far the best Tuba section I’ve heard in a loooooong time, probably ever. Then btones are okay and trumpets are weak. I didn’t go to either one of these schools but I know what I hear
Got mad respect for SU, but JSU the better band this season. That's just it. Volume, Energy, and even certain arrangements are better. This just aint Southern year, and that's ok.
I agree I love both bands a true JSU FAN but southern did not much for me this season. The dolls did great at half time but the band was a no go for me .. I enjoyed everything while I were in the sip with my family #jusdetroitfan
