While in Texas my cousin took me by their it was just over the Railroad tracks from where she lived.

The studio pool I was told was about 2/3 the size of the real pool. Kristen died in the studio pool in Culver City. The garage door windows were always clear on the real garage. They were frosted windows on the studio garage doors. Trivia: there were two Andy Griffith Show actors who officiated at Dallas weddings. Mayor Stoner officiated at JR and Sue Ellen's second wedding. Ron Howard's dad, who played several small roles officiated at Cliff and Jamie's wedding at Cliff's condo. Steve Kanaly said he was frightened when they put him on those rodeo bulls. Just before they opened the gate, they cut and the scene continues with the stunt man riding the bull. Fantastic video.

Ooh I wish we'd been able to take the tour! When Margaret and I "did" Dallas we drove by but couldn't visit.. I think that was in 1980 or 81. I loved Texas and I especially loved...maybe Plano? There were h u ge dinosaur fossils all over and we waded across the Pecos. Went to a chili cook off and a Chippendale show in downtown Dallas and ate Tex Mex all week. Fun!

O my goodness, someone jumped into the pool - lol - knotty! We watched the reboot season, like but wasn't blown away! Steve & I need to tour the Ranch sometime.

Actually Lucy’s wedding was filmed at the California sound stage, wish it would have been filmed in Texas. Usually the BBQ episode was the last episode of the season, with shots at the real ranch, etc.

Very cool indeed - or not if you have to bomb into the pool out of desperation! Massive here in the UK too, remember they had a BBC news crew to film the arrival of the 'who shot JR tapes' on a plane in London. Yep, that big. Superb, loved it. Si.

This is definitely my favorite video of yours. Great drone and camera work. I was there in July '04 and it was at or very close to a 100° then. I am looking at all the pictures I took of Southfork, and yes we still had to drop off the film to get them developed back then. 😎 I was laughing when you two talked about Kristen landing in the pool, when we all knew she would have ended up in the bushes. J.R., not know for his brawn wasn't strong enough to press slam her for a 20ft toss. But with the balcony fence broke, he would've had to kick her with the strength of a horse or two 🐎🐎 making this even funnier! 😂💪 I wanted to jump in that pool too, it was darn hot! Was Miss Ellie's Deli still there? It was good back then, got a sandwich and a Lone Star, very good beer! 🍺 Keep up the great work, this one brings back many great memories.

Visited in 2011 and 2016 was able to soak my feet in the pool in 2011 it was 110 degrees went this time in August 2011 10 years ago. Then in 2016 went in last day of March was in Dallas for WWE WrestleMania 32 both awesome experiences.

Kristen was high on pcp it was revealed. You’re right, she would have had to leap off the balcony to land in the pool

You could always tell the difference between the on location shoots vs. filming on a soundstage. I was always bummed when they were through filming on location for the season, and the second half was all filmed on the soundstages. I believe it was around season 7 that unfortunately they stopped filming altogether on location. No more outdoor scenes at the real Southfork, no more on location shots around Dallas.

BTW, Logan's Run was filmed in the Dallas area, I've seen some videos on it already but they are rather dated and it could stand to be updated. :)

I want to write that my name is Josh and i want to write that Warner Brothers studios is planning to make all 356 episodes from every season of DALLAS, upgraded in a brand new HD picture quality, available to stream on the streaming service MAX in the year 2023.

Your opening shot in the front of the mansion I noticed those bushes that flanked both sides of the entry and were trimmed into oval canopies are gone. Those were there since the house was built. I assume they died during the terrible frost there a winter or two ago. In the show they said Christin was high on drugs, I forget the episode but I can find out. The scene where she was found in the pool was actually done in the replicated Southfork on the soundstage in Hollywood. The reason they could only film in the summer at Southfork was because Joe Duncan (the original owner) didn't want his kids school year thrown off and interrupted by the filming.

Have you seen chitty chitty bang bang? most of the filming locations are overgrown :(
