Omg you’re the only one teach the proper way. I spent 2 hours before I found your video. Thank you for being smart, and took your time to explained everything to us.
Very beautiful creations and a very informative video. Thank you for the tutorial. I always wanted to know how to make whipped wax and now I do. Thank you much! 😊
I'm so glad I found you! I'm just starting again with wax (soap maker) and love watching you create these delicious creations. Big thumbs up from one Creator to another :)Jen
Lovely.. learned a lot. Do you think i can use this wax consistency to pipe flowers. For piping flowers, we need bit stiff consistency. What js the procedure to make it thick.
At my place i dont really get a lot of choices on the quality of wax there is just paraffin and gel wax (soy is a rarity that is available in selected stores online) Since the time i posted comment on your video i bought a whipper and whipped paraffin wax but again i faced the same problem. Will buy soy and try again
Did you have any issues wicking these candles? I’m having such a hard time with my decorative candles and I can’t figure out why. Using my usual wick for my container candles (and two sizes down) I get a 3 inch, sooting flame! 😢
We been making our own wicks since we started. We purchase the wicks in rolls and wax them our self’s. When making these type of candles to much flame burns them to fast and little flame don’t burn them right. I get our rolls at hobby Lobby and it’s great as I mentioned it’s what we been using for the past 5 years
thank you so much for sharing i can't wait to try this , can you use this on wax melts ? does it go hard enough to package ,, thank you again your candles are fantastic xx
Hi, great video, but i have a question. When i try to do this i find my frosting doesn't let off any smell when i burn the candle. The base is fine and smells great. Do you add a bit more fragrance to the wax when you make these? Am wondering if it disappears with all the mixing??? I add the FO when wax has cooled down a bit.
Sandra Gordon hello, thank you for the compliment. We add our scent at the recommended temperature of the FO we use we haven't had any issues with the frosting not giving scent. Sorry to hear your having this issue, maybe try another company FO we use the whipped cream scent from wholesale supplies plus and rustic essentials hope this helps.
Hello thank you for watching, once your wax is at your wanted consistency and you put it in the piping bag you must work pretty fast from there. What we do is have everything ready so it’s a faster process.
when you make your whip cream are you using only soy wax or are you adding a small percentage of coconut oil?? And I totally love watching you pipe, thats my next big challenge LOL. Thank you for taking your time to show all of us.
Do u recommend using a harder wax for the bottoms of the candles? or do u use the same wax for the whipped part of the candle and the base of the candle? Thanks
Beautiful!!! Quick question, Does the whipped wax doesn't get dry too fast? What I mean to ask is if , you have enough time for pipping all of those candles before you gets dry on you??
Zulma Nieves hello the soy wax it's a little more easier to work with and you have sufficient time to do at least 50 different types of whipped glass. You do have to work at a fast pace meaning you have at least 20 minutes to finish the 50 glasses. If the wax gets hard just re empty the pipe bag pour some hot melted wax and remix. Hope this help if you have any questions let us know. Thank you for inquiring.
What sprinkles are they please? I have seen candle making where people are using edible sprinkles on them, beautiful candles by the way, it really takes some patience.
Hey, I was excited to find your tutorial and even more excited to try it. You stated cool whip and vanilla- are you talking about vanilla fragrance oil or vanilla extract??? Hope to hear from you:)
tiffany delattre yes one ounce of each total of 2 oz for the amount of wax I was using. The amount of FO you use depends on the amount of wax your using to make your frosting
Great video, thank you for sharing. I make mostly soaps & candle melts since the insurance will not cover anything with a wick. Any info you can provide on this subject? Thanks! Conchita
Is there a special kind of wax that u have to use to make the frosting or is any wax ok... I like coconut soy wax to make my candles will I Ned another type to do the wax frosting?
Hello, thank you for watching! I use Soywax 464 you can try to do a small batch of frosting with the wax you currently use. The frosting is all about getting that consistency and look of the frosting.
@@sweetcfmermaids1790 oh ok thank u for responding! I will watch your video again, the challenge now is to know when to start piping at the right consistency. This should be fun!
I don't have a machine for whipping so I whip with a spoon my wax(paraffin) reaches almost a consistency like yours but when I put it in a piping bag (I have silicon piping bag) it dries off too quickly... So I am not able to make icing like yours... In fact wax dries off near the tip of the nozzle so the entire excercise goes in vain. Could you provide me with some tips or even direction as to what I am doing wrong
hi, Thank you for a wonderful video. please tell me.Is it Soy wax 464 only? Please tell me where I can buy it. Can I mix by hand? Is it useless unless it is a machine? thank you.
yayo hello the wax we use is 464 it is possible for you to use other wax. We use the mixer because we are producing big quantities of wax but yes you can mix it by hand as we demonstrate in the video We purchase our wax from Rustic essentials
Hello thank you for watching, what type of candle making wax are you using? I only have 2 to 3 working hour time from beginning to end with the frosting before it starts to harden. If your wax is not getting hard and it’s still soft even after 4 hours it means your probably using to much fragrance oil.
Hello! Thank you for watching! I use 464 GOLDEN SOY WAX it’s what I have used for many years. We get our scents from rustic essentials and candle science those are my best recommendation.
I really like your video. It is really helpful. When exactly do you add color? Does it need to be at certain temperature? Or is it okay to add color after you whip it?
mmar1990 hello we clean our blender by applying heat with the heat gun. Once everything is completely melted, we save any leftover wax and run the mixing tools under hot water with dawn soap. It will definitely be really clean for your next use.
hello, how do you package your dessert candles? especially those that has frosting that are above glass level? since it is soy wax and its more softer than paraffin nd can easily stick to any surface.
Hello thank you for watching! Our glasses are from lord of places we go to good will a lot as that where we can find most of the old style glass for dessert we also shop at dollar tree and old time pottery.
This may sound odd, but the decorations such as orange slices are they from a mold, or do you purchase these types of decorations? Thank you in advance for answering, and for the video. It was interesting and educational! :0)
Laurie Guzman hello we actually make our own molds out of silicone we have an instruction video as well on how to make the silicone mold. It's under Crafting together that use to be our name when we started our business. Glad you enjoyed the video
Marisa Rouillon hello we are doing great! Thank you for asking. Yes we use real sprinkles in our candles. I am not sure about metal beads we have never used metal beads in our candles we do use metal decoration that we advice customer to remove them before lighting the candles.
We make our own mold and have purchased a few on Etsy as well. Yes you can use any type of mold as long as it’s flexible like silicone or you use a release candle agent to be able to remove your candles.
Allie Pruett in about 10 to 15 minutes it’s completely hard once it’s been frosted to your design the room temperature has a lot to play on how fast it hardens.
