Lamenters: Fuck that I need this beer *Completely decimate themselves saving as many civilians as they possibly can down to a single Blackwatch dreadnought until primaris marines arrived* Jokes aside though yeah. Love the sals.
See "If the emperor had a text to speech", where his first action is to be so angry that his angry rant is felt across the entire imperium, and in xeno space
Fun fact: the emperor can easily kill himself and come back to life but doing so would hurt humanity so much that we might get extention so until humans find way to travel and teleport easily he has to wait but if this happens the emperor is back baby and the inquisition are fucked
Pretty sure there's a theory to actually keep the Emperor comatose forever, not in any hurry to actually revive him if it's at all possible, unless Chaos is right at the door again.
@@maniestranger4329 with the power of believe in the emperor. Him dying and coming back could easily birth a new chaos god. Like the birth of Slaneesh. And it would as you said render the astronomicon useless. And throw the Galaxy into a new age of isolation.
And prey the ultra marines are not, as standard ultra marine procedure is "Send wave after wave of guardsman, and hit the enemy while they're weakened to take the glory."
Some exceptions to this rule Lamenters: literally lost almost all of the chapter protecting a small civillian evacuation Space Wolves: fought the inquisition with tooth and nail (no pun intended) to protect the people of armaggedon Salamanders: they have familys and self sacrifice is saw by then as the greatest virtue of all White Scars: the Khan said that his main mission is to save lives, even going so far as going to a situation whete Sanguinius (who can see the future) said to him "you will most likely die" to save lives.

@@potatomasterstudios761 Months of Shame. Following the first war for Amargeddon, Daemon-Primarch Angron shown up. At the time only Chapter Masters should know of the existence of Grey Knights to counter such powerful Daemons. Logan Grimnar (the chapter master of the wolves) sent a messenger to summon the knights, first "error." only Logan was supposed to know and was supposed to go personally, but he was busy fighting a war. Second, with the existence of Chaos, a fallen primarch and the Grey Knights being sort of seen by Imperial Guard, the Inquisition was going to purge the entire planet, to make sure not a rumour survived. Thats when the wolves took it personally. They fought side by side with this warriors, they won't let them be killed for a problem that may never manifest is they remain loyal. The months of shame followed, Space Wolves shielding the Imperial Guard regiments they helped flee with their very bodies, never firing back upon the Inquistion or Grey Knights. Eventually the Inquisition went too far and the wolves fought back. Logan Grimnar was so enraged by this point he did the impossible, sprinted in terminator armour, a feat no other marine has performed. It ended when Bjorn the Fell handed was summoned and awoken, the Inquistion threatening Fenris itself. But you do not challenge Bjorn's loyalty and dedication to the Emperor. Not even the Inquisition, even the Grey Knights bowed in respect to this legendary figure. In the end Bjorn told everybody to stop being idiots and end the fighting, and that was that. There is more to this story, a very interesting one. The Space wolves, the barbaric loyal sons of the emperor, acted with more honour and intergrity then practically every other chapter in that moment. The Grey Knights were horrendously misued, they are daemon fighters, nothing more. And for the first true time the Inquistion was humbled, and reminded, the marines technically answer only to the Emperor and their Primarch, and in their absence, the High Lords of Terra, nobody else. Sad reality is most marines dont have the power of influence to reject the Inquistion. The wolves being one of the originals were far to much for even the Inquisition to face. But it wasn't just a war, it was how the wolves acted, not fighting back till the very end that ruined the Inquisitions reputation. I recommend looking up the details yourself.
@@deadMan33331 sure, but that only applies to them, like the one who ran at 60 km/h was the exception, not the rule, lamenters, blood angels and salamanders are exceptions, not the rule.
I highly recommend you check out Lamenter lore. Or check out the war for badab by Arch. There's actually a lot of chapters that care a lot for humans. Yes salamanders are definitely a caring legion, but the space wolves actually fought against the inquisition to protect men and women who fought against chaos taint. There's a lot of nuance with the chapters and legions
Every one forgets the lamenters, poor bastards, they might have the black rage but they’ve sacrificed more than the salamanders did and they weren’t even at the drop site massacre
@@gwynjustice6664 actually I think it's said because of some tweaking to there gene seed their actually one of the few blood angel successors who does not have the black rage or red thirst (though the secret of the cure has been lost) but in place of that they have just the worst luck
Someone should let them know," They are my bulwark against the Terror. *They are the Defenders of Humanity.* They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.” ― The Emperor of Mankind
@Asher Simpson part of the reason leading to the heresy was that even before chaos got involved, horus was starting to view the human governments as unnecessary bloat and considered it overly taxing on regular people when a primarch can do way better
"Brother, you just shot 10 civilians" "the 2 seconds it would have tool me to step around them are worth more to me than their miserable existence. What are you, a salamander?"
Those space marines view us normal humans to be weak but they can't deny the fact that we hold the lines for 10.000 years, and we shall hold it for 10.000 more.
That's the funniest part too, A giant super solider which doesn't even know fear, criticises normal humans, yet the same humans who have fear, can best the mighty forces of Chaos with just flak armour and a Lasgun. Without having to be genetically enhanced.
@@weshammer on this topic, could you do a lore video on the Marines Malevolent? Its basically a chapter of callous marines that almost seem to go out of their way to screw over humans. Known for being the biggest chapter of assholes.
The lanentors literally tired down a reward from Calgar and considered one if there missions where they beat orks a failure because civilians died in too great a number.
Haha agreed, I was shook when he said that 😅 just finished the first 3 of the HH and it was for sure only a handful. (Also pains are taken to explain Loken's regret of his actions).
Ever since finding your channel the Salamanders have grown to be my favorite chapter. Interesting seeing these otherwise augmented relatively unfeeling super soldiers showing human emotion and caring deeply about their home world and life they leave behind.
Guilliman literally made the most stable pseudo empire in the Imperium, where people can trade, eat, receive top notch medical care, protected by the largest army in the universe and ruled by a benevolent leader. But dear Emperor, are we gonna ignore the slums in Terra were people literally die to starvation?
@@ICantThinkOfAFunnyHandle We're not talking bout plot armor here, because I agree the Ultramarines have the thiccest in the setting. We're talking about taking care of the population, because Macragge is a thousand times better living conditions than Terra.

Even if they regret it doesn't change the fact that he killed an unarmed and surrendered child because he was angry. People keep saying that he regrets it but they forget that he would do it again and again if he was in the same situation.
"They fight for their legion" as you show the only space marine chapter that left their legion to serve in the death watch. On a side note, great content and I hope you keep growing!
Let's say some xenos burnt down a house and killed all but one of the family in it. The natural thought would be an urge to help that one person, and Space Marines might have that same urge. But *how* to do it is where they vary. An Ultramarine, and a lot of other chapters, would leave to punish the killers, so that the family of the survivor would have justice and not be at risk. An Imperial Fist would build a new, stronger house, so the survivor has more security and the reassurance of home. A Raven Guard would move the survivor somewhere safe, and his chapter would add that planet to the patrolling list, to keep something like that from happening again. And the reason the Salamanders are so popular is because they're the ones who would actually sit with that survivor and comfort them, and promise them that their family is not forgotten by the Emperor.
Man... "trample" is probably an understatement. Those Luna Wolves were freaking out that their Primarch might die, and they turned their weapons (i.e. bolters, chainswords) on the citizens blocking them and hacked their way through the mob.
Have you not read the book? They literally just punch & push their way through, no weapons used. Also is specifically says on 21 civilians die with countless more injured. Not “hundred if not thousands” as the silly video states
@@SetuwoKecik yeah I know I watch shorts before commenting Also he's getting better at the cut at the end Cause a lot of time I hear him start on something And the short over
Well, he made Night Lords, World Eaters and Iron Warriors ( who valued bolts more then human lives even before Perturabo was found). So, I don’t think he will be really upset with marine’s merciless
Aside of TTS, I wouldn't be surprised he send a massive psychic spank with the most pissed off vibe that even the Chaos Marines could feel the pain. Specially the Minotaurs and the Marines Malevolent, they wouldn't sit in a long time.

Smurfs :v their primarch wants them to be able to think for themselves whilst still being able to follow orders. A lot of them form a moral compass. However they will almost always follow the most strategical path.
Not necessarily “ Above” but they are more detached because of their translations. Space wolves, Ultramarines, Raven Guard, White Scars, and I believe the Blood Angels also. Oh and definitely Grimaldis himself. Just to name a few.
The salamanders, ultramarines (because they are basically administrators on their planet), and blood ravens work specifically to protect the empire. And that includes its people. The Luna Wolves were a VERY aggressive and bloodthirsty Legion, most space Marines might not actively work to protect mankind but the only worse example you could use is the black Templars or Grey Knights. Also Grey knights will kill other space Marines for witnessing their crusade.
Fair... But there was also that time they slaughtered millions of innocent civilians on prospero because they were after the Thousand Sons.... So you know.. no one's perfect 😅
Yeah, if only it weren't for them having around 8000 marines, starting a war with an Imperial province over their chapter master's pride, toyed with other chapter's gene seed, and eventually turned to Chaos.
It is wholly dependent on what chapter usually and sometimes even what company within that chapter. For instance in the Uriel Ventress novels 4th company Captain Uriel truly does care for the populations he is trying to defend. Hence the reason why to this day he still wears the white rose of Pavonis on his right shoulder pauldron. As a reminder of the people. Then there is a Blood Angel successor chapter that literally capture and ritualistically bath in the blood of their civilian populations. Draining thousands of people dry of blood and putting it all in a communal bathhouse that the entire chapter bath in, then later bottle to drink for later use to stave off the red thirst. Yeah, kinda messed up.
Well there are an exceptional few in a chapter that genuinely care for humans or at least respect the guard. Captain Uriel Ventris & Titus of the Ultramarines, and Reclusiarch Grimaldus of the Black Templars just to name a few. Also, the Salmanders aren’t the only ones who care about civilians. The Lamenters have human life as a top priority, even going as far as to invade an Ork planet to save enslaved civilians. Granted the Lamenters are cursed and lose marines way more often than any other chapter, but it’s the principle that counts. Also the reason the Ultramarines are so heartless in Dark Imperium is because crossing the rubicon Primaris. When a marine does this, it’s very likely that they’ll lose their moral compass and only think in a cold calculative mindset. Remember Uriel Ventris? He also crossed the Rubicon. Before, he would put all his effort into saving some guardsmen, even at the expense of Astartes lives. Now that he’s crossed the rubicon, and he didn’t even flinch when he chose the lives of his marines over some guardsmen. Guilliman himself is appalled by this, and scorns Uriel. If he knew his entire chapter devolved in this way, I think he might stop the primaris project from changing the minds of other chapters as well.
I mean the celestial lion, salamanders, lamented and grey wolves are the only legion that would put human lives above themselves others I’m not so sure about
So do you think big dady E is siting on the throne room like: Good me when I get my powers back I'm killing atleast half the population the salamanders getting a raise that's for sure
The lineage of Sanguinius also try to minimize "innocent" casualties, and generally feel quite bad about necessary deaths in the name of greater victory.
Depends. Blood Angels and Lamenters care about human lives. On the other hand, you have the Knights of Blood, who treat humans like cattle. Then you have the Flesh Tearers, who minimize friendly human casualties by fighting away from the main army, so they can rip and tear to their hearts content
