Ally Boothroyd guides you through a free space-time bridging meditation on RU-vid. This is a 10 Minute Open Eye Meditation created by neuroscientist Andrew Huberman which he has called space-time bridging. It’s a meditation that strengthens focus, introception, and extroception and creates calm in the mind. In his podcast, the Huberman Lab Podcast, he shares science based tools to improve concentration through a meditation practice. This is a dynamic focus meditation which includes vision meditation, interoceptive meditation, and a focus on the third eye.

I can see this being very helpful for shift workers. I’m a registered nurse, I find that after just one shift I come home and it takes me some time to process the things I’ve seen, noises, lights, etc. I have trouble grounding myself/getting dopamine from food and overeating on days I have overstimulating shifts. It could be beneficial bringing headphones and sitting in my car doing this practice before entering my space and allowing this meditation to help leave some things in the parking lot. Thank you for sharing this ❤

This one was more difficult, I could feel my mind/attention bouncing back and forth. I can definately vouch for the open eyes meditation, being in touch with "the flow" as a practice all day long!

I also love science-based practices! I know there is some relationship between eye movements and states of mind so this was interesting. I need to go down to the beach to practice this!

Dear Ally, I have been doing yoga nidra regularly with you for half a year. The place I was in to begin this meditation for the first time urged me to approach with eyes closed, laying on my side. By inviting my third eye and heart to open instead of my physical body, my imagination took me on a trip through and through, ending with a true sense of clarity, synchronicity and resonance. What was most intriguing was searching as far as I could ‘see’ ‘out there’ until I was wrapped all the way to see my back, myself. Then when we saw the whole planet, the mirror connected to something great, sweeping me with feelings of vitality and love. I will be repeating this meditation for the next month and see where it brings me. I considered this an effective practice because it realigns me with purpose today. Thank you for your work. It brings joy and peace to my daily practice. Receive these blessings. Love, Ángela

Thanks. This was very interesting. I found it hard to focus on the external farthest away from me. I then found myself very sleepy. I’ll try this again for sure.

I’m overwhelmed. All this year I’ve searched through loads of content, mostly for more of the same philosophical and spiritual teachings or guidance. I had what is considered to be a big awakening, but with more impossible confirmations of the supernatural and spiritual that have only become stronger over time. I don’t know why I’m sharing that, since all I want to have is stability in practices. Now when I look for a meditation, it seems all I do is search, and then I end up on a page like this that has so much content that I don’t know where to start or stop, and there is no order of importance or purpose. .. I don’t know what I’m trying to say, except I’m overwhelmed and can’t get anything straight, or regular, or in order, etc. I’m starting here, and tomorrow something will lead me elsewhere. Like I can’t get anywhere because there’s too much and nothing sticks.

This is the perfect meditation to train us to be mindful in our waking lives, not just when we close our eyes. I can definitely see the benefit. It was so new and different to me, even though I’ve been meditating for years. Will definitely try it a few more times to see how it fits with me. Thank you Ally ❤

Just did a 'regular' yoga nidra video of you, it was so deeply wonderfull, and now i was just checking out the promised 'thumbnails' 😊 and this spacetime video as a neuro different person took my attention, it is really interesting i am going to try it these comming afternoons for a couple of days🙏thank you so much for your exploration of all deep techniques'! Thank you ❤ I'm definitely going to do it every day thus week. What immediately came to mind was the quote "I am everything and nothing at all" I don't know who originally said it, but I heard RuPaul say it. I feel heightened awareness at the moment...and calm ❤

My nervous system has been overwhelmed most of my life being autistic with adhd and only recently discovering it. I extended my journey to see our spectacular galaxy as a speck in the astounding universal, infinite cosmos! 💫 Awesome feeling! 🌌🌟🌠 The vision therapy was excellent too - will do these eye exercises often to help improve my eyesight (I have myopic vision). Ally, thank you for this meditation. I've never heard of it before and, while I cannot at this moment identify any immediate benefits, I'm going to practice daily and see what unfolds. Being able to sense inside and outside - i do get how that can be beneficial. I love how you keep unveiling these practices for us.

So glad to hear it Lauren, I personally find open eye meditations to be more difficult than closing my eyes so I do find this one a little more challenging and out of the box for myself personally. 😂

This is the second time that I’ve done this exercise but I have done a reasonable amount of both Mindfulness & even Yoga Nidra before. Close to the end when focusing on breathing & the third eye, it was really weird bc I began to feel colder air “entering” my forehead - despite being indoors! Not quite sure if it was my imagination or wishful thinking as it’s really warm here today but I’ll see what happens on subsequent occasions☺️. Thank you Ally💕

You introduced me to the benefits of yoga nidra before Andrew Huberman and it has helped me to hang on for the last few years thru isolation agoraphobia multiple panic attacks night terrors and many chronic illnesses. Our health care system in Canada is broken and tho I haven't healed much. Mainly bedridden your videos have likely saved what's left of my sanity and will to live❤❤❤

I kept putting this off until I was in an outdoor setting, but this time I went to the outdoor setting just for it. I had a very calming experience with it, and am looking forward to trying it again soon. I can definitely see where it will be even more beneficial when it is practiced more and becomes natural.

❤thank you Ally. It’s Tonya from the 200hr EYTT This was harder to do today. Every time I opened my eyes to focus on my hand or an object…tears would run down on my face. It was just an automatic response to the meditation.I wasn’t sad, I wasn’t emotional - it just happened - not sure why?!? I wanted to keep my eyes closed because it was easier and it would stop the tears from happening. However I kept (most of the time) my eyes open. I feel alright. I am just curious as to why? If you have any answers, I am all ears. Thank you Ally - I love this practice. Cheers, Tonya
