Spain's Northern Coast offers loads of paragliding options. We had the opportunity to fly at different sites in Biscaya (Sopelana), Cantabria (Laredo), Asturia (Pico el Sol and Molina, close to Gijon), as well as all the way West in Galicia (Cariño and San Roman). Over a course of one week we managed to fly five different sites with really good weather.
We started in Bilbao with a short flight in Sopelano, which I did not film before the rain started and then headed west. Primarily, flying was coastal soaring over great cliffs, with one thermic flight from Pico el Sol, which was also really nice.
All sites are beautiful, but some are more for experienced pilots due to strong wind and the lack of landing options at the beach below the cliffs, so I strongly advise to seek some guidance from the local pilots who were all really happy to help us out.
