@@HeadshotaZ731 yes cuz dumb luis enrique one got 1 striker..and bans frontal shootings see in this video spain shots from outside...they didnt nothing of that vs marrocco
@@FULANODETAL You got it wrong. It doesn't matter whether it's Spain, France, or Portugal. This Morrocco side is among the most challenging teams to beat. I daresay they probably have created arguably the best defensive system since Italy in 2006. Spain wanted to play conservatively and not give up counter-attacks, which is why they played that boring tiki-taka style. Portugal barely had 2/3 of shots on target; that says a lot.
💝🇪🇸 That moment was very special for me and for millions of Spanish people, so it meant the end of 40 years of losing streaks in quarter-finals and at the same time, the beginning of a golden era for the Spanish team.
@@erickbroncano4705 only in the plumber era where most players were milkmen and plumbers . In the 21st century aka the most competitive era spain have rawdogged italy in terms of achievements and h2h . Spain also lead the all time h2h. Spain are also more relevant in other major sports . Inshort italy is spains son.
@@Fraudkovic😂😂😂 Not exactly. In modern era, lets say started since serie A prime time, there were some golden generation. Skipped Maradona, he was one man show. Started with Netherland. Euro 1988. Germany, WC 90, Euro 96. Yugo ( they threw it away ). Brazil ( 2 WC, 94,2002 ). France ( WC98,Euro2000 ). Italy ( WC2006 ). Spain ( WC2010, Euro 2008,2012 ). Argentina GG literally smacked by Brazil so many times but they got their last piece in 2021-2022 ( Messi literally the last part of Argentina long line GG since Riquelme and he won it all with his senior as management team ). The only GG to miss big reward is Yugo. Sad thing isnt it?
Very tense game, I remember this being the emergence of Chiellini on the international stage, people finally saw what kind of a beast Italy had in the back (at such a young age too). I wonder how the game would have played out with Gattuso and Pirlo on the field...Italy wasn't firing on all cylinders in Euro 2008, but they were starting to warm up at this point. Spain deservedly went through, but it would've been even more exciting with those two midfielders there for Italy.
@@bellofigoitaliano5038 Your nt failed to qualify for the last 2 WCs, your nt couldn't win a trophy without defending all the time until penalty since 2006. Your national team is so bad & don't know any better than park the garbage truck. That's my point.
Not saying Italy wins this match vs Spain (this was the beginning of Spain's dynasty), but with Pirlo and Gatusso out and idk why the coach didn't play Canavarro, they would have had a much stronger chance of winning this game.
Cannavaro got injury a few days before the first match with the Netherland. He is out for the whole campaign. Italy played Pannuci and Chiellini. Materazzi and Bazargli got injury too
@@istvangal1057 and we didn’t have Canavaro. Toto was long retired before this, so that doesn’t count. But those 2 key midfielders in Pirlo and Gattusso; and Canavarro, they were missed this game. With the way we played there’s no doubt in my mind we have a much better shot.
What as lineup of players in their and prime and heading into their prime. Xavi Iniesta David Villa Torres Casillas Puyol Sergio Ramos Piqué Xabi Alonso David Silva This is like a dream team.
Here is where the debate between Casillas vs Buffon was settled. Love Buffon, has great sportsmanship and is a humble guy, and a living legend. But Casillas is a bit better. It's because of him in many instances where his teams have gone so far
nah i disagree... buffon is better. can't judge which keeper is better based on ONE penalty shootout! casillas just had a better performance in this game... they're both world class keepers but casillas, as good a shot stopper as he was, always seemed to be quite error-prone throughout his career, whereas buffon was almost flawless. that's what separates them for me.
I still remember that Camoranesi chance with the pivotal save from Casillas, i was a kid but i knew, i felt like that was the decisive moment. If that ball went in we definitely would have won the game and probably the Euros. I'm happy Spain won it tho, they deserved it
Just luck comes with penalties Simple you score some miss some it’s luck simple di Natale one of the best players should of scored but got stopped it happens Spain lucky as usual
