Quantity is a quality all of itself / discord / heyquadro Business Email: heyquadrobusiness@gmail.com 00:00 long intro (going over radio operator dev blog) 05:00 gameplay
You're partially correct. The war ended, and the successor of the T-34 would be the T-44. It only has a limited production run of 1,823 tanks between 1944 and 1947. It was lighter and faster and had the same 100mm gun. It wouldn't see combat service in WWII. The T-44 would prove to be the basis of the much more iconic and well known T-54/T-55
I think the benefit of having a radioman call in ammo drops is for sniper squads where you have to choose either engineer or radioman--you cannot use both in sniper squads, unlike every other squad. Sniper squads are some of the least effective in the game, but having an engineer that can build ammo is useful for someone is actually acting in a sniper role so they can resupply their sniper rifle. Having a sniper squad radioman that can call in ammo resupply as well as call in accurate artillery strikes would create a forward operation observer party squad aka the ultimate camper squad which would make them more useful in gameplay and maybe make help make snipers more useful in clearing points.
I love the idea of being able to call in weapons, but maybe it only drops like 2 or 3 becuase that could be really op if it’s 4+ especially with more then one radio operator, also with 3 weapons needs a 1min cool down
@@Someth1n_pzivj was and still is an amazing vehicle. People who didn’t play well with it just had skill issues. Both tanks easily destroy each other and both have very good High explosive rounds and machine guns on them as well as great mobility. The only problem is the panzer 4 for whatever reason has solid-shot instead of APHE
@@lebijr there are ways to play around it. And the pz4 has great situational awareness comparatively because of the cupola. I won’t deny the tank is definitely worse than the t-34-85 but it’s not that big of a power gap and both vehicles can and have stomped entire matches. At the end of the day the best tank is the one with the better crew (the crew being the player, not the in-game “crew”)
I feel as though the novelty will wear off quick once most people get clapped way too much with this tank, granted some people might stick with it until they unlock the IS series of tanks but overall its not really encouraging to play in something that can instantly explode the moment anything sneezes in your general direction.
Bro dropping boxes full of unlimited DPMs or mg42s sounds extremely overpowered. Also they said ammunition CRATE not box so I. Assuming the call in has a higher number of uses than the ammo box does. If anything it’s a quality of life thing that can help mitigate difficulties associated with more specialized squads.
@@Red_Scare_45bruh it’s hella useful especially on maps like the Normandy maps that can have very long sight lines. Tanks are most effective at range and being able to see far means you can identify tanks way faster than having to do the whole “is that a tank or a map element?” Song and dance that we’ve done about a billion times. And binos are extremely cheap so why not get them?
Hey Quadro, awesome video as usual Do you think that this tank is now the "must to have" when playing as soviets br V ? I'm lacking 2 stages from it, so i can buy it, But is it worth it ?
Buy what? A virtual gimmick in online game? Do you have unlimited money or? :)) It is just T34/85 with slightly stronger gun. Still easy target for everybody around.
The T34-100 isn’t a researchable vehicle, so if you were going to purchase it, you’d have to do it soon. Otherwise the T34-85 is adequate enough fighting everything not aside from the Tiger 2 H
The t-34-100 has been in the game since the campaign days though it was very rare since people actually bothered to grind instead of buying the shit they want back then
@@xmedathe better gun is more than worth it what drugs are you smoking? And the t-34-85 isn’t an easy target at all, assuming you actually know how to play tanks well (unlikely looking at the average player in this game)
Oh btw Quadro sorry for basically nuking the replies in most of your comment section and probably bringing down the mood with the way I speak but in my defense it’s 4:51 am and I still haven’t slept yet
You are 100% right, it should drop a para box... Or at least let people refill grenades, radio op squads need a purpose... Don't get me wrong, I have an op in every squad, but playing a full radio operator squad seems pointless.
Mfw Bomber raids being able to cover 80% of the map if used correctly, the increased arty calling rate meaning more arty spam, the fact that they basically function the same as any other rifleman-type squad or their derivatives
The only reason you wouldn’t wanna use a radio squad is because your engineer can’t build anti-tank or mg emplacements, but that goes with every squad.
I would rather have 5 shermans over 15 T-34, historically speaking. Just saying, T-34s had some serious quality issues, even the soviets preferred the M4, or as they would passionately call them M-Cha
T-34 only had quality issues at the start of the war. Reliability problems got fixed as the war went on. Soviets conducted an exercise during its offensive in Manchuria where they drove both t-34's and m4's in difficult terrain and both tanks got similar results in break down%. Big advantage of the m4 is that it is much more better ergonomics, and that is why soviets preferred them over their own tanks.
@@nightcrowd4925Indeed, less likely to burn in an M4. T-34 tanks worked just fine at the end of the war though. You could produce 3 T-34’s for every 2 Sherman’s I believe. The Red Army was all about quantity and Stalin didn’t give a shit about casualties.
@@Red_Scare_45 Agree with most of that, but i am not so sure about Stalin not caring about casualties. If you observe Barbarossa Operation, soviets were constantly falling back and thinking... well, let's retreat and from that point we will hold, only to keep retreating and being captured. Also axis were inhumane to pow's, most soviets soldiers were captured and starved to death and suffered the same faith as jews. Under that context, is that Stalin issues order 227, were officers that ordered a retrear would be detained and executed if must. I don't have the exact number, however executions to their own soldiers were insignificant compared to the horrors that suffered soviets pow's at the hand of the axis.
5 Sherman’s over 15 t-34-85s is fucking stupid no matter which way you put it. The Sherman may be the best tank of ww2 but it’s not THAT much better than a t-34-85 operationally speaking. Just think beyond the tank-vs-tank for a second here. Would you rather have 5 76mm artillery guns shooting directly into enemy positions or would you want 15 85mm artillery guns shooting directly into enemy positions? It’s obvious you’d want the extra firepower as that’s what wins battles.
@@penapvp2230 Really not at all better firepower wise, and AT capabilities wise 76mm gun could punch through more armor, in large part because soviets built absolutely awful shells. And if you're going to talk about anti-personnel capabilities 75mm continued to be relevant throughout the war, as it had pretty ridiculous amount of HE filler. You know why M4 would also be better against infantry ? It used belts, instead of stupid pan mags. Logistically sherman is a much better vehicle than T-34, not to mention much safer. Maybe 5 shermans over 15 T-34s, but defo 10
