I know this is for beginners, but shit a beginner can add a chopped onion and garlic (or least garlic powder) too. Also I use can of tomato sauce instead of purée but idk if that matters much.
Try putting in a half can of tomato sauce(the little can) and do 1 3/4 cups of water instead of 2, after you add the water and it starts to simmer cover it & cook on low heat for 20 min, without uncovering until done. Hope this helps! Been making this rice for almost 30 years😊
@@lynettelaroche8868 Thank you! I’ve seen my mom make it a million times, so I get the gist of it, but I keep messing it up. So typically I end up buying it already made (only after failed attempts). Homemade is always better so I’ll try again 😊
