You got thrown into the world of USAF STS face first man. These boys do some serious work, and most of the time it is only one or two of them attached to another group in the Army, Navy or Marines. They are fighting and doing their jobs be it controlling aircraft and strikes or providing medical support. Hands down some of the most unrecognized group of personal in the military SOF world for the actions they have done.

Me as well, I'm planning on being a PJ as well(all though I've still got a year and a half to choose). The last three years I've always loved pushing myself and kicking my ass with every workout to the point of accidentally overtraining a few times, and no one around me has that drive at all and it makes me so sad. But to be around men like this and help out other servicemen and women, it'd be a dream come true

Huge props to a 50 year old man going through even two days of the Pipeline. Something else I liked about this video was that it didn't just focus on the SpecOps guys. Lately PJs, CCT, and to a much lesser extent the new SR warriors get all the attention. But there is also a second level who are above the common airman. Special Operations Command also has some of the best pilots around. Also the SpecOps crewman, who can go up to a year of training before graduation. They have to know every bolt of the aircraft they are assigned to, they have to keep a shot up bird in the air enough to get to base. The crewman is the person you see blasting the advancing enemy with the minigun as they chase down the SpecOps guys. He has to know everything from airframe mechanics to combat medicine to giving tired SpecOps guys some food. There was a brief shot of some DAGRE troops. These are the SpecOps Security forces. They do everything from guard the aircraft in very hostile territory, to securing landing zones, escorting the SpecOps guys on missions to do their jobs, Hostage Rescue, and whatever else they are called on to do. I heard a DAGRE guy describe a typical day and that included 2 1/2 hours of working out. (If a real DAGRE reads this and anything I say is incorrect, please correct me.) I believe only 28 slots for DAGRE are opened in an entire year. Even the mechanics are some of the best in the Air Force. Everyone in the SOC feels that "elite" vibe. The Pararescue, Combat Controllers, and Special Recon guys are the cutting edge of the sword but even the sharpest edge is only as good as the steel behind it.

Many hear those of us that served joking about the other branches of the military, however when it hits the fan everyone of us in the now 7 branches of the military are ready to fight as ONE team and leave the BS aside. I am an Air Force veteran, but I love all the men and women of all the branches, each branch has it's own mission, yet we train together and fight together. Along with the boomer submarines the Strategic Air Command was ready to launch into world war 3 with our special weapons. This took intense discipline to be ready and if that order ever came to do as ordered knowing it would end the world! That put a different mind game on the brain than going into direct combat, however combat too would be necessary. These guys in this video are way above what I could have done at age 20, but then no one wanted our job when I served!! To know that in 10 minutes, maybe less that your base would not exist and I would be vaporized was not a good thought!!! And there was nothing I could about it but carry on! In short I think every person that volunteers to serve in any of the 7 branches of the military are heroes to me. For those active duty today, Thank You for bearing the standard we once carried!!!!
@daviddale3624
@daviddale3624 5 лет назад
President John F. Kennedy recognized in 1963 that future military conflicts would likely be "low intensity". From that moment, the call went forth to develop these type of capabilities. Few people recognize the need to seamlessly integrate all activity in the battlespace by Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine assets. Long time coming. Well done gentlemen!

Tell me, what would the people of any other country in the world do if their government had admitted the recruitment - Training - Arming - Supporting - Protecting - Paying - and use of brutal terrorists (Americans like the term moderate head chopping rebels)like your government did? Would they all cheer their leader/government as you Americans do? Would they all chant their country's name like you Americans do with all this USA USA USA? Would they all try to blame any other country as you Americans do? Would they all sit and watch the terrorism, the murder, the head chopping, the human slave markets If they all knew like the Americans do, that their country was responsible for the recruitment - Training - Arming - Supporting - Protecting - Paying - Use of brutal terrorists? What do you American people think every country on earth would do if their government had admitted what yours has? Here's a clue.... 2018, Terresa May announces strikes on Syria, within 3 hours literally hundreds of thousands of people are stood outside Parliament protesting against it. 2018, Emmanuel Macron announces strikes on Syria, Hundreds of thousands start protesting in Paris. 2015, Russia exposes the US for supplying terrorists forcing the US to admit what they're doing in Syria and still 3 years later not a single American has even condemned it, let alone protested against it. And this is why you see and feel so much American hate today. And this I've left no room for any denial. as this is so clearly the truth. And If you still don't get it then really, what does that say about you??

At 6:17 a sign announcing the Special Tactics Training Squadron also has a restricted area sign under it to the right. The normal language about people not going into this area without permission of the Installation Commander is present, at the bottom of that sign it states; Use of Deadly Force Authorized", this means if anyone enters without permission service member can use deadly force to protect that restricted area. We had these signs around our restricted areas when I was with the 92d Security Police Squadron at Fairchild AFB back in 1980. We secured special weapons and the assets used to deliver them. We were given an order to shoot first, then ask questions. Luckily we never had to use deadly force!!!

Probably a mix of PJ, CCT, and SOWT (regular TACP’s don’t do this and SERE definitely don’t do this)because if they’re going to dive school after this that means they already did all their primary schools and now going into their more advanced skill schools like dive, sky diving and the like.

It’s_Tommy the mindset & ability to compete selection also cannot be compared to a recreational race v. Selection. I’m not SF, but I have been in the Army since 1995. Been around plenty of SF guys, they are essentially professional athletes who can shoot way better than the average Soldier and possess an iron will. It would be more accurate to see if this Spartan CEO could make thru PI or Fort Benning for basic training.

@thecunningwolf5001 5 лет назад
RAF kinda already has this capability. ii Squadron RAF Regiment provides a contingent to the SFSG which is a Tier 2 SOF unit made up of personnel from the 1st battalion Parachute Regiment, RAF Regiment and Royal Marines. Within the SFSG they act as Medical Emergency Response Teams (MERTS) and JTACs they also provide a CBRN capability for the SFSG, in a way there equal to USAF PJ's and TACP. 7 Squadron, 33/230 Squadron and 47 Squadron are Special Operations pilots that provide UKSF with insert/extract and close air support they regularly train with USAF Special Operations Squadrons during Exercises like Exercise Emerald Warrior

@@sixowe3592 What? Oh, you don't understand what I mean? Well maybe you can answer this for me? In 2015 Russia exposed the USA for supporting terrorists in Syria and that forced the USA to admit to the whole WORLD they had recruited - Trained - Armed - Supplied - Protected - Paid - Used brutal terrorists (sorry I forgot, Americans like the term moderate head chopping fake rebels my mistake). And not one American has even condemned it, let alone protested against this clear and obvious attempt at American tyranny. The only society we've ever seen do this before (not even protest against their own country's ADMITTED killing) was Nazi Germany 33-45 and that's the only time in history the people have done what the American people are today, or rather what they're not doing. 325 million people, and not one, not a single one has even condemned it, let alone protested against it as we all would be if our governments had admitted what the US government has.

@Viennamango
@Viennamango 5 лет назад
The quick answer is yes. However, you wouldn’t be able to be active duty. I believe the age restriction is still 27 for active duty. Air National Guard is different. They don’t have to accept you, but if you posses what they’re looking for they’ll pick you up and you would have to go through the same process as every other ST (special tactics) operator. Understand, however, the process is LONG to get to operational status and there are a few different jobs within each team; namely TACP, PJ, CCT and Special Reconnaissance.
@kendallfleming5858

@@Viennamango I thought you could be active up until 39. However, most rated jobs will be closed off unless you are rare then you'll get a waiver. I know pilot cut off is 28.5 yrs old. If you're going after non rated positions then your window opens a bit.
