I really enjoy all of your videos, but ever since tactical Jesus Jason joined the family it has been much more entertaining (not that you weren’t before). I enjoy the dynamics y’all have. Keep it up guys!
There’s something about a shooting tree that brings out the best in everybody whether it’s anger, frustration, the check book, gloating, bragging, etc... Top shelf “gunnertainment” Chanel. Thanks Erik and Jason. I got a let the boss win!! Classic
Love this kind of content. It's fun to watch! You guys are giving me ideas for the next time I take my son to the range or best friend. Thanks for sharing,... This was fun to just watch.
You should keep this tree for pistols only and make another tree for centerfire rounds..Different higher speed impacts with centerfire and heavier grain bullets. Just a thought.
If you guys are interested I've got a rifle dueling tree I built. It has 8 10" targets out of 1/2" AR500 with magnetic stops that keep the targets in place unless directly hit. Your welcome to use it or if you want I can build you another one.
In case no one remembered. Erik did get a lesson or two from Jerry M .= Sand bag . Seriously though, that was a lot of fun to watch and looking forward to seeing more.
Man these range play videos are a lot of fun. Erik you mention making things as even as possible for the next match. Maybe Jason and his 3 Oh Hate Vs. your PRS rifle. I can't remember, you shoot a 6 or 6.5 something in an MPA? Maybe do it prone on bipods and rear bags. Best 2 out of 3 on the duelling tree after it's fixed?
id raise the top of the angle. then box it across the top adding two more poles into the ground, and brace those legs it would make it more solid, but the targets also need some way to make them harder to move, as in tighten the bolts they pivot on so they do not turn so easily.
Two RPRs chambered in 308. Factory Berger ammo and 500 yds. Btw a plate rack would probably be a better option than the tree. We have tried and they just aren't enough to withstand rifle impacts. We set up with 4 8 in plates and 1 4in
Long range like 500 yards with T/C Encore. Both buy same barrel and scope. I have perfect setup and 5" steel at 500 is piece of cake. SSK Firearms 6.5/270 JDJ
I do enjoy your videos, and have learned a lot from them. But here' s my 2 cents. Our dulling tree is set @ 700 yards, and it operates just fine out there. 🙂
Hello Erik, enjoy your videos. Keep making them. Question, are you having trouble finding reloading components in Texas? Still dry in California.... Thanks......
You guys just have to place a V spring under the pivoting arm in the center of you angle iron so that the target cannot swing that easily back when it is not hit properly! The impact on the whole stem from your 308 is otherwise to much for the targets to stay in place. Easy fix with a drill and small pieces of adequate spring wire!
I would question “equal equipment”. I would suggest the equipment which each shooter is most proficient with or equipment which neither shooter is familiar with. How about some old unaltered Mauser rifles? I have 2 Mauser target rifles in 8.15x46R, how about those? Revolvers? How about Yugoslav Mausers? I say equipment which neither is familiar with to a great extent.
In all honesty, SF LOOOOOVES to shoot regardless of conditions. Great vid Gentlemen! Red dots on pistols are unreliable in my personal opinion. Who knows what conditions You will be in with an EDC. Iron sights never fail... Train with Iron sights, use the "battery dependent" red dots for target practice...
A suggestion. The next match, Erik should allow a handicap of one or two plates already turned. Either that or a delay in the start? Kind of like allowing the guys to play from the ladies' tee. also rubs a little more salt in the wound.😆
Easy way to make it even 2 budget rifles with same scope to make the gear the same and 2 dual trees so so no plate issues first person to hit all plates to one side and back wins
I think the Sniper didnt go to Pistol Class...YEAH ERIK!!!! Its hard to beat the Accuracy of the RED DOT. And The Red Dot vs the Open Iron Sights will beat the Iron sight all day long.
