Milwaukee needs a bit store like a LEGO store. Let people build their own kits instead of making them buy bits they don't need.

One place I've found that this extension really shines is with driving or removing slotted screws. I repair and restore wooden boats and some of them have slotted screws. We currently have a restoration project for a local maritime museum and we have to use slotted screws instead of using a different drive like frearson or phillips. Theres few things worse than installing a part with a slotted bit in yout impact or driver and the slot slipping out, digging into your part. This sleeve is fantastic for that. It keeps the bit from walking out of the slot and gouging your part or the boat. I have 2 of these and my boss bought a few for the shop. Super handy and well worth every penny

I bought the kit because I do building maintenance and I outfitted the kit with common screw bits I use and it has saved me A LOT of time from going back to my office to get the correct bit needed for the job I just keep that bad boy in my back pocket and ready for whatever I need! If you use it as a screw driver don’t use a lot of force because you can ware out the part that actually holds the extended driver and it will not function as good as it used to but still VERY HANDY. Great video VCG I love all the videos you guys use and refer to them a lot for tool purchases 💪🏼

When I was younger and when I worked with my dad everyday at the end of the day everyone would have to clean up the job clean and put the tools away there was one thing that would upset my dad and that was a filthy job site plus he also had a certain way so you to roll up the extension cord it was a slip knot this way to cord would never twist but also no one will get hurt some tripping over something.

Greetings! Another excellent way to do away with cam out and such. Robertson style heads the square drive. Coupling a square drive with a sleeve you nearly eliminate cam out issues and your screw almost never falls off.

I snapped my Milwaukee sleeve working on a deck project a couple summers ago. So when I went down to Home Depot to replace the sleeve, I saw that 12 piece kit. I said to myself, it was a no brainer to buy it. Couple dollars more for the extra bits and bit holder. Good value! Great video as always, Have a great night!

Is this new to anyone? I got one when I bought my first porter cable drill in '99. I even had a flip bit and a quick change bit way back then. It was impressive seeing 6 minutes filled up with an explanation including more excitement than I had when my first kid was born. All smoke aside, you put out some pretty good stuff though Vince.

It is a great bit at first but the sleeve comes off after continuous use. I had mine come with the driver bits but was the gen1 versions. Great video, Vince but I hope Milwaukee makes the sleeve much more longer lasting either way it is still worth having in the most difficult extended reach screw fastening.

Vince, agree with you, and do like mag sleeves. Haven’t tried this Milwaukee one yet, but I personally don’t care for DeWalt’s at bit holder, and sleeves; cuz getting bits OUT after out a 1” bit into one....well, let’s say, not even my Vice Grips have luck, & so one of my fav bit kits (DeWalt MaxFit kits/bits) mag bit holder get thrown in the bin right when I open them up😂 Been giving the latest Milwaukee bit sets a fair shake; as been using “mostly” for last 3 months. Do sometimes find myself reaching for my maxfit out of habit😆. But am trying to see how well the bits hold up over time and “age”; along w/ the bit holders and other accessories that come with any bit kit. DEFINITELY making a trip to my keyboard and ordering this Milwaukee mag sleeve to give a try. Thx for the tip👍🏻 My current 20 RU-vid old mag sleeve, doesn’t fit every fastener I use daily ( a pain cuz love using mag sleeves); so if this Milwaukee gets job done and works well for my needs...I’M SOLD! How’s the Gen 3.5 impact driver treating you? Still haven’t been able to get a hold of one, but keep trying (& won’t give up). Cheers to you and VCG FAM (stay safe and be well) ✌🏻

Hi Vince, Too funny..This tool was first introduced by Craftsman. I still have three of them for about 10 yrs. It wasn't a very popular tool because you couldn't see through the sleeve. Then a few years later Makita made one that you can see through. Now it's becoming more popular. Still a great tool bit to have.

Yeah, the bit retention on my Milwaukee magnetic shockwave bit guide is “ridonculous.” I need a vise and pliers to remove bits from the guide. Definitely an issue. I’m using a Dewalt sleeve now with my Milwaukee impact driver and bits. I do agree that the sleeve is the way to go. PS, born, raised, and educated in Philly. Out West now. The only problem with this magnetic bit sleeve is that when using impact drivers while the sleeve is not extended, the vibrations of the tool can cause the sleeve to shimmy over the fastener and obscure the screw. Other than that it's a huge frustration saver!
