SPECIAL SIDE STORY: THE FIRST SHOT [ Ray side-story ] 

Yas! We really need more attention on Ray! He’s my fav too! If the anime continues with a third season, Emma will probably be the creators’ next emotional point, now that we sort of had Ray in the first season and now have Norman in the second. Ray will definitely be the most responsible of the three from now on, after literally attempting to kill himself and thinking over the many years how to live on and protect his family, he’s definitely the one who’s learned the most! This side-story also had that wholesome moment of Emma and Norman comforting Ray, as the only one I’ve seen so far. Ray is as much as everyone’s encouraging and protective big brother (as he, in the anime, is also confirmed to be the oldest of them all, being the first to turn 12), we see him being there as emotional support for all of his siblings. What I’m hoping for now, is that the series at some point, will show us Norman and Emma hugging Ray when he’s breaking down. That’s all I want, no matter what triggers it.

@@callmecloudy6225 OMG for the hugging Ray part, I was thinking maybe when they go back to Gracefield, they eventually will have to see Isabella again. Since she is his real mother, that moment could trigger some reaction in Ray which could then end in Norman and Emma hugging him 😭 Ok I need to stop imma cry

@@lovesladynoir I was thinking that same thing, but then I read a couple of manga pages not too long ago... MANGA SPOILERS!!!! At some point (not entirely sure when), Ray and his siblings do return to Grace Field House and they do meet the Mom again, though when she tries to play wholehearted with Ray for his return, he pushes her back, even though he probably did miss her while he and the rest were gone. I think the most likely thing to trigger it at this point, would be Isabellas death. Which they also do make happen in the manga. And in that moment, all of the siblings are gathered around her, Ray being the closest to her. He definitely breaks down over it, calling her Mother instead of Mom, which should hint to the others that the two of them had a special relation. If there is a part after that in the manga where Norman and Emma comfort him, I haven’t read it. All I’ve read is that all of them are sad because of her death, and therefore, Rays sadness kind of looks like it gets ignored. If they make Isabella die in the end of season two, or just at some point, I hope they change that.

@@callmecloudy6225 totally agree (I’ve read most of the manga, still need some more chapters) but yes, they just aren’t handling Ray’s feelings the way I wanted it to. Hope they change that in te anime.

This is what Im always telling everyone.......Ray went through so much and I can't stress enough about how much he is a cute, yet broken and depressed, bean. All love goes to Ray! Btw your comment made my day 🥰

@@rozhakarzan6647 Ight I'm a lot late but here goes. Ray couldn't tell Emma and Norman because it would come off suspicious. Emma and Norman love Isabella very much so it's be very suspicious if they just somehow stop being bright and smiling children. They wouldn't know better due to be being less matured than Ray and would just tell mama that Ray is telling a lie about it

@@rozhakarzan6647 he did just later? Plus Norman and Emma loves Isabella a lot and ray didn’t want Norman and Emma to feel pressured and have nightmares like he did

@@Actuallygaymore like he showed them as much as I love them I feel like they would NOT be able to hide it this early in life it had to be waited out a bit and to have more strategy to the equation

Ray have a rare medical condition in which he is able to remember everything even since he's a baby, he sure had heard a lot about what's happening around him, since he used to live outside the farm with Isabella for sometime until he's grown up enough to be living in the orphanage (farm lmao) with other kids
