She didn't lose her memory, however, she had to somehow make huge changes to the world by making the human world a peaceful place to live in for norman and the others to live in (at the cost of 20 years of her life before the actual date norman travel to the human world), which the demi-god demon find it more interesting. After solving the world crisis, she somehow manages to prepare and instructed her servant to standby at the beach when norman and the others arrive at the human world..that could explain how they know exactly when/where norman and the other kids coming, and how the world suddenly live in the peaceful day. Emma at that time probably already dead because of the war and her name was remembered as the saviour of the world. Before she passed away, she left some letter(message) for norman and the others about how she missed them, how she really want to live together with the other kids peacefully. The manga ends where norman, ray and the other kids visiting Emma's grave and showing how the others moving on with their life

They mentioned the possibility and risk to it, and they also alluded to Sonju wanting to bring the world back to how it was before, and it could have built more upon it with other demon characters, like Lewis or the villagers, or more about their culture. It kinda started to kill off the demons characters fairly quickly. To be honest most of the characters didn't amount to anything, especially Phil. I would have loved to see him trying to find a way out on his own, through Minerva's alias and exploring more the farms network. Or at the least putting up with his character by trying to find Emma in the new world. It could have been interesting if Emma had a spiritual connection with the promise, and she is the key to all, and her necklace. Her story could have continued in trying to save the people in her new life, and the ones she can't remember. I would have liked that there was always a connection from the demon world to the human world, with the use of fantasy witchcraft 🌟✨ (Emma looks the part for witch) to save them. And there should have been stakes, the tension diminished afterwards, there wasn't much consequence to pay. (Even if they suffer). Everything went well with Norman's plan, and also putting Musika as queen. If felt like it was given. And mama's death should happen, but not like that. Her sacrifice felt rushed. The whole thing after golden pond felt rushed. With tension, it makes you care more about the characters, the story and world has weigh. Also Ray fell flat. Well, I wanted to see more, or at the very least a satisfying ending. I really like Emma, and I feel like her ending was robbed. It's like she gave up when she lost her memories, and I would have loved to see her strive to earn her family again. Sorry, I don't want to rant. But I really have this sentiment. 👍😁

Ikr that felt just rushed or that the author just got tired of it decided to get done with it... It was so underwhelming loool I wish there were a few more chapters of the kids adapting into the human world, more details about them looking for Emma, Emma developing a bond with the old man that she would call grandpa, and presenting him to the kids when they find her. Also it would have been more realistic if she tried to run away from them first and go to the old man seeking safety haha. I felt like it was too easy for them to convince her to come live with them while she barley remembers them lol...

Yeah and I hope that The characters aren’t apart for so long. It makes me sad when any main character is missing for too long, u start to miss that character. I hope Norman comes back soon, fast than 1 and a half years. I also hope they don’t spend 2 years looking for Emma, 6 months looking for her could suffice. And I hope she regains her memories. Time skips just make me uncomfortable in manga. Especially time skips where the characters haven’t seen each other in a while.

And everything was super rushed

YES! PETITION FOR SEASON 3! I'm guessing that would happen in 3rd Season. LOL, I just can't get over with the pain manga have brought me. I'm hoping for season 3 that Norman, Ray, and her family will slowly tell her everything and maybe she could *MIRACULOUSLY* gain her memories back. But I think gaining her memories back would be a problem again since taking her family's memories away from her was the reward to the promise she made. So maybe this would result to a great conflict.

But I heard that the director was cooperating with the company so some of the things that happened in the manga would be the same with the anime. But incase if emma didn't regain her memories, season 3 is definitely necessary to finish the story. Also, they are a lot of things season 2 haven't covered like how did they ended up in the orphanage, their parents, more detailed information about the ratri clan; human eating demons; demons like musica and sungjoo, how's their life going in human world and many more! But I would be soOoO glad if Emma will not use her memories in anime and of course SEASON 3!

I think the last 2 arcs were rushed, and whilst the concept is yeah, pretty bittersweet, and I would've preferred a happier ending, I think that if they had more time to expand upon it I would've liked more. Also the pacing was all over the place

@Mia Alia well, that stuff had to happen to develop the story. Emma had to sacrifice that to save everyone and that was her character.

For me this was the best ending. And for me it was a happy ending too. But I wish, Yuugo could see the new world too. He doesn't deserve to die there. Damn! Since his death, I couldn't be happy about anything even in my real life.

Emma has to make a new promised with the demon god to take ALL kids from the demon world to the human world. to do that, the demon god had taken Emma’s loving memories of her family as a form of payment. seriously, you have to read the manga! It's really awesome. The anime skip so much. there a lot of best characters. there also a sad moment other than Emma lost her memory.
