This was the high point of the Eagles 2005 season before it would go to die at Denver the next week.

This is one of my favorite memories, because I said to my sister and brother in law right before that field goal "the only way we can win this game is if we block this and return it for a touchdown" and little did I know that was exactly what was about to happen. There's nothing like feeling totally defeated and then suddenly having the thrill of victory come out of nowhere. What a great ending!

21:40 I remember this when the Fire Alarms went off at the Linc. I remember watching on CBS and then I hear sirens going off at the stadium, and I thought "WTF is that?! That's not a normal sound you hear during a football game."

If you're a current football fan of a younger generation and wonder why in the world would the Eagles fire Andy Reid... This is a classic Reid game... Horrible clock management costing us points at the end of the first half... And a game where you were winning all the way up until the 4th quarter he calls 54 pass plays this game compared to just 10 running plays... Classic Eagles era Andy Reid

My senior year at Penn State CBS went from this game to the Steelers game before the field goal. Had to listen to the block and td and rest on the radio

Oh my God somebody finally uploaded a longer video of this game this was the first and only game I've been to as an Eagles fan in Lincoln financial Field! I got to go because my friend's father at the time my friend at the time when I was in high school we're not friends anymore but at the time his stepfather was sick and they asked me if I wanted to take his place and of course I jumped on that to get free tickets to watch the Eagles game with them I always tell this story I told it to a lot of people! Because it happened in 2005 I don't really remember exactly how everything went down in terms of our comeback but without watching this game I believe there was a fumble and then a blocked field goal for a touchdown so that was like a huge swing in the game like in terms of a point swing like I believe we were down either one touchdown without watching this we were down by one score or one touchdown or something and then maybe the Chargers work would have been up by two scores with the field goal I don't exactly remember how much time was left I remember for some reason we left and I always feel like we were down by a lot for us to leave but we left because you know it was Sunday and school was the next day Monday so I was technically a school night and we love to try to make traffic you know and luckily we did and it wasn't too bad I wanted to stay! But I remember we were sitting in the nosebleeds like under one of the titantrons or whatever you call them the videos the big screens you know that like show the game or whatever and I remember I don't know exactly when probably first half early second half there was like a helicopter hovering on like the size of the field or something I couldn't really see it but people were pointing it out and I was asking like what's going on why is it here and some people were saying oh they're trying to evacuate us and at the time I took it seriously and I remember going on another video of this game which had just like highlights of the game a few years after and there were people at that game and they said oh there was no mention of any evacuation or anything so I guess some people were just giving bad information or we're just trying to make a joke or something! But we leave probably I'm going to say maybe like either late 3rd quarter or mid 4th quarter because I'm thinking about the walk we left and it was a long walk to the car it was probably a 10-15 minute walk to the car it felt like and as soon as we get into the car we turn on the radio for the game for Merrill Reese and as soon as we get into the car it was crazy he started saying stuff like then we were going bonkers like jumping up and down into in the car and the car was shaking and everything it was like we were celebrating some kind of winning of a lottery then there was the field goal blocked for a touchdown it it was just so surreal like as soon as we leave you know obviously the stuff didn't start happening as soon as we left but once we entered the car and put the radio on that's like when the come back was starting that's when these plays or happening! 😂 Let me check my I still have my ticket because you know I'm somebody who likes to collect stuff from my past! It was October 23rd 2005 1:00 p.m. at Lincoln financial Field says the entry was the south gate and I was in section we were in section 213 row 15 and seat 18 I mean that's where I was and apparently the tickets for this was $60 It had a picture of Brian Dawkins and it says game 5 so I guess that was week five I don't know that was the first and only professional sports event I've ever been to and imagine if my friends stepfather at the time wasn't sick I probably wouldn't be able to say that I've been to a professional sports event or Eagles game it has nothing to do with me not having the money or or anything just that I wouldn't want to go anywhere by myself that I haven't been to myself and I pretty much couldn't do this kind of stuff myself I would need somebody with me

I'm going to download this because I made a playlist once a few months ago or a year ago or something of the game that made me an Eagles fan and that was the game against dolphins in 02 world 3 where I wasn't really a huge NFL fan like I still liked it but I didn't know the game at the time because I was like 12or 13 so I was only a dolphins fan because my cousin had a Dan Marino signed football helmet we lived in New York and he had it in like a glass box or something but I'm pretty sure it wasn't like real glass it was like you know thin plexiglass or something and I just always thought that was cool and I liked the Dolphins Jersey colors and I liked Dolphins the Mammal I loved Miami even though I've never been there at that time or still haven't been there I've been to Orlando just not Miami! So I moved to Pennsylvania Northeast Pennsylvania in 1998 and I remember being distraught the whole car ride here because you know I was leaving a lot of friends I knew I even had a crush that I was about to that week like let her know I liked her and out of the blue we just had to move! Then I lived in PA for a few years and I ended up hating like all New York sports teams because I looked at like the Yankees as like the Cowboys but one day I go to the bar with my father and obviously I'm not near the area where people drink I was just there to play pool and some old blonde woman was there and she was talking about the Eagles and Dolphins game later that night or whatever you know being a regular casual fan she said like the Eagles are going to beat the Dolphins and I said being a casual fan oh you're crazy that's not going to happen even though I have nothing no knowledge about the sport at the time just was intrigued and entertained by it! So I watched that game and I remember it being back and forth back and forth the whole game and then I remember I believe there was a trickery or gadget Play where I believe either Brian Westbrook threw the ball or somebody threw it to him I believe he threw it to somebody like maybe James trash because I don't think we had Hank Basket at the time I'm sure I got both of them mixed up because they were both like big body wide receivers! So yeah long story short people might think like oh you betrayed your team like I said like I didn't know anything about football and it wasn't just about the dolphins being so bad in the late 90s or early 2000s it was just you know I moved to PA so in a way everything that I remember of New York died to me like my cousin being in Miami Dolphins fan having that Dan Marino signed helmet and me being a fan of theirs just because of that like I I joke and I tell myself yo I could have been a fan of any team could you imagine I could have been a fan of the Steelers a fan of the Browns at the time fan of the f****** Patriots imagine if I was a fan of the Steelers or Patriots then I moved to PA the Steelers are winning a couple super bowls and I would have stayed a Steelers fan imagine that or imagine I was a Patriots fan in '98 and the Patriots start winning all the super bowls I probably would have stayed a Patriots fan that's crazy thank goodness that was in a cowboy signed helmet or Giants! 😂 I'm so glad I became an Eagles fan and I should be counting my blessings every single day like thank you God I do believe things work out for a reason I was meant to be an Eagles fan!
