Amazes me how they can get the horn blowing like that and nobody moves out of the way , yet they are the first to complain when their home is burning and the fire department takes a moment to get there. Love the vehicles of the FDNY. Each has its own personality. Amazing men and women who make up the FDNY as well.

You don't know how many times I got goosebumps by watching this video.

I worked Fire and EMS in St Louis and it’s suburbs for over 20 years. And while I’ve had my fair share of issues with traffic while responding to calls I could never imagine the mess that the guys of FDNY have to deal with. Gives me anxiety watching!

word of advice as a new yorker telling you..umm yeah dont run in front of fire trucks.great vid...just dont go running towards a fire truck

I do feel a little sad though how bad the drivers, at least of New York are at giving room for emergency vehicles.

Don't know what those vehicles weigh,in tons.They are some good drivers.Driving those trucks,at high speeds.

I feel sorry for the people that need rescue in nyc. Need to take points off license and steep fines for failure to yield.. new yorkers, do not complain if ambulance and fire trucks don't get to you on time you got to move!!!

Some of these fire truck drivers need to be MORE ASSERTIVE! They should not be waiting for pedestrians to clear. Put the pedal to the metal & they will clear or else get steamed rolled. When they see pedestrians still in the intersection they shoiuld speed up & go full speed ahead & lean on the horn! the arrogance of a lot of these pedestrians & drivers alike is appaling & absolutely unnacceptable. There should be police car with an ambulance or a fire truck so that police can take pictures of those did not yield & arrest or fine them later. No warnings. Peolple know what they must do.
