That's exactly what I was going to think of the same thought process myself from all this time if it were me than we people that once loved it that suddenly disappeared and after they tossed it to waste and we are the changers then I would say we can bring it back by ourselves!
Joseph Bonczyk we probably won't even have to do that. I predict that they will bring back an "updated" version of Spectromagic for the 50th anniversary of WDW in 2121. let me tell you why.. Hong Kong, and recently, disney land (California) have new night parades called "Paint the Night" and the soundtrack has pieces of the Main Street Electrical Parade music in it, so it's safe to say it's kinda like a "Main Street Electrical Parade 2.0" I have a very strong feeling that WDW will make a new night parade that has hints of Spectromagic in it The reason I believe that will even happen is because Spectromagic is a WDW Magic Kingdom "exclusive" meaning it was literally the only place on the planet where you could see Spectromagic its a part of WDW history, they would be really stupid to not "revive" Spectromagic for its 50th anniversary but time will tell even if they don't do that, let's hope I win the lottery so I can bring it back ;)
+Baby Jesus sorry to say this but as much as I love spectromagic they won't bring it back. Back in 2013 Disney made it official that it will never return to Florida. Sadly.

Even though the Electrical Parade is a classic, SpectroMagic will always be my favorite. There's just something about the music that makes me so happy. It's indescribable.

I saw the parade when I was 8 years old and it was the closest thing to 'real' magic I have ever experienced. It was totally dazzling. The Main Street Electrical Parade is and will always be a bona fide classic but the SpectroMagic Parade was transcendent.
It’s been already 6 years Spectromagic’s last run. And it still is my favorite Disney parade / show. It was the first show I experienced as a child in Magic Kindgom, and it occupies a very special place in my heart. The soundtrack always makes my heart flutter & tears to my eyes. It’s just magical. I still hope they’ll bring it back somehow. I know they’ve by now have recycled many of the props. Paint The Night is similar, yet it doesn’t retain the magic and the wonder this parade brought to me.
This was the parade that introduced me to magic kingdom at night during my first time at Disney world. It remained the one I was most familar with up until my last family visit in around 2010ish. The last time I went to Disney world was in 2016. I can’t even remember what the parade for magic kingdom was because it didn’t hit me as much as SpectroMagic did. This will always hold an important place in my Disney world memories. Thank you for uploading this.
I live 11 miles from Magic Kingdom & Disney World has LOST ITS MAGIC. No more parades, not all the resorts are open & not all the buffets, it truly is no longer the most Magical Place in Earth. 😢😢😢😢
When I was like five I danced to this song with my dad in our movie room all the time I don’t think I ever saw the parade but this song will always hold a place in my heart ❤️
i don't understand why Disney took this out! I remember seeing this when I was six and I still miss it! :( They should keep the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disney Land and bring back Spectro Magic
I know why they got rid of the original floats; they were stored improperly and damaged by termites. Of course, that doesn't explain why they went back to the MSEP instead of rebuilding SpectroMagic.
Besides the fact that this was a well done parade, spectromagic really makes us feel nostalgic and like it’s the “ true music of Disney World “ because at one point when this was going most of the people commenting like myself remember this as some of the very first memories of the magic kingdom. It’s a generational thing, we were kids and this played for over decade as we grew up but we always had this to remind us of our childhood as we got older. Nostalgia man !!
I remember in 2010 I had the urge to spontaneously break off to see this parade one more time at the second run before we knew it was done for good, so glad I did watch the second run, never thought it would be my last. I watched this at the gate and ran as fast as I could once it was over to Splash Mountain and watched it a third time that night.
I am so mad that this is gone. I LOVE this parade. SO MUCH Better than Main Street Electrical Parade. I wish they would re-build the parade from Scratch.
It was amazing to see me and my hubby went on our honeymoon at that time we even found the soundtrack in one of the shops in Disney world we still play it today and to our kids
Since I have never seen this I really love Electric Light Parade, but by the music and videos of this it seems this is the signature night parade for disney and I wish they would bring it back somehow, maybe rebuild the floats since the old ones are destroyed.
I'm still so sad this is gone forever. I just hope WDW creates Spectromagic 2 with all new floats with at least 2 inspired by the original. Still can't believe the original floats are GONE FOREVER!
I was 9 when they stopped showing this at Magic Kingdom. So I have a copy of the soundtrack (My mom bought it for me) I remember it so clearly. But when I tried listening to it a few minutes ago, it wouldn't play :( And when it did, it would skip like crazy! (I'm sooooo upset!) I'm 12 now, and they retired this parade when I was 9 sooo RIP dear spectromagic soundtrack CD. I will always love you! (XD) But as I listen to this one and compare it to the CD, this version sounds so different!
You could always try getting the soundtrack off Amazon or check for it at FYE store. Or if there is a game exchange store near you bring it there and they can try to repair it for you for about $3.00
I really like the music for Spectromagic but I can't understand why Walt Disney World management couldn't pay for a few tarps to cover this thing to protect it. As much as Florida people hate Electrical Parade, we want it back over here in California at Disneyland...
greedy much? technically speaking, the electrical parade was originally from Florida, so Main Street Electrical Parade is back home, where it belongs, with a new float added on to it as well. Btw, a few tarps wouldn't do much in Florida. Water and condensation would just form under the tarps, making more damage than without the tarps (it's like 98 degrees in the summer and only goes to 63 degrees in the winter here. but still pretty humid) thus shortening the lifespan of the floats altogether.
alright, let me rephrase this, The original electrical parade came from Magic Kingdom, Florida,Then we got spectro magic, then in 2010 we got electrical parade back from california, with the new (to us) Pinochio float, Now we don't hate it either. Last time i saw it (A couple weeks ago) there were tons of floridians (including me) trying to get a good spot to watch the parade. So don't go saying surf unless you have things to back it up with.
peace puppy The original Main Street Electrical Parade debuted at Disneyland in 1973, what you're thinking about is the Electrical Water Pageant that is still at WDW. The MSEP ran at Disneyland until 1996 when it went to Florida prior to be returned in 2000 and then running again at Disney California Adventure from 2001 to 2010. I'm not saying all Floridians hate MSEP but I have heard from a large number of WDW fans that they hate the MSEP and want it gone and that Spectro should come back
interesting fact that you might not know, for the first few months if not a full year of DEP's run at DCA, the Electrical Parade was stored in tents similar to how Spectro was stored (non-climate control tents)

Where in the world did you get this version of the soundtrack? All the Trumpet fanfare and music cues are all separate in this one. It's perfect! Where do i get a lossless/flac version. I wouldn't even mind paying.
okay no they weren't ALL destroyed! Victoria Hopester Williams I talked to the parade manager at MK one night (this was in Late July early august) and he said they still have some of the floats and they plan to use them for an expansion of the electric parade! yes I compleatly agree spectro is WAY better then electric music included but! at least they are reusing some of them and not wasting them
yes, but Spectro became magic kingdoms when MSLP went on tour and!! Disney Land have MSEP first so its technically Disney Lands Sectro was Disney worlds Parade and only their parade! Might I add that jiminy cricket Was the host for both wishes and spectro so it matched!! and went perfectly!! plus the music for spectro is so much more beautiful! but MSEP 's music is just....not beautiful I love it but it just doesn't have the beauty spectro's music had
I remember getting the CD of this at a Goodwill store in Maple Shade, NJ. I still have it. It was originally bought as a souvenir at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. How did the CD make it up to a Goodwill store in Burlington County, NJ?
this was the number thing why we were going love seeing this every yr the last time my kid watched she was 3 and now she want even get to see our band went in 17 and i would have like for them to see some of them has never been it would have been so exciting to them to see it and still wish disney had now it today in florida
Remember seeing this in 2009, we'd just got in to DisneyWorld that day and as we were walking in, this parade was playing - it'll always be my memory and the what I think of when I think "Disney". The melody is just iconic.

Came for 1:20 stayed for the rest. I saw this parade at Disney World when I was about 6 years old in 2009 I believe. I’m 19 now and I can still say that was the most magical and memorable night of my life 🤍✨

I don't suppose there exists a version with just the music only? I love this music--it fills me with pure joy--but the Roger Rabbit sequence ruins it. And I'm not crazy about the Ursula and Ariel voice overs either.
