It's a long video they have shortened it aren't you in the future it's called timelapse I'm not being mean I know I get your joke or comment whatever keep commenting or whatever good comment.😺
At first, the bubbled up look didn't appeal to me, but the depth it gives the cockpit makes total sense, gotta say, it is a revolutionary design with function.
Nice build ,,I paid my college out of pocket ,doing marine fiberglass work,, transoms, complete keel & runners rebuilt,,,glad I didn't learn this hull bulit video,,I'd be wore out ,lol,,,great video tee!!☆(,,I keep watching this one over & over)☆
years ago i built a small scale miss budweiser by up scaleing Dumas R/C blueprints have ave a small machine shop in one of my gaurages i had it custom painted rotax powered up to 87mph
Morilo, boa noite, de onde vc é? Sou de Ivoti, perto de Novo Hamburgo. Temos o grupo “Hovercrafts & Veleiros Reloaded” no Facebook, sobre construção Amadora. Seja bem vindo lá!
He literally built the boat. I was expecting an overhaul or restoration like other vids. This man just raised the bar and dropped the mic on his way out.....lol Thanks for sharing man, very cool. How is the boat holding up?
Thank you my friend, that's incredibly kind. The boat is still going strong, I sold it after about a year. The new owner painted it black red and whit following the shape, looks really good.
@@BoatsandEngines Very cool. Have you seen the kid in Thailand that makes the miniature speed boate that kinda loom like a F16 fighter jet? I think those would be insanely popular in the states. I always think about you and your building skills when I see them. If you ever had extra time and wanted to do a build series on youtube, would you even consider building one? Here's a link below to the little boats I'm referring to. Again, I admire your skills, craftsmanship and attention to detail. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YCjpQKebaFY.html
Just a bit of trim sorted the porpoise (it's manual). Right about the prop though - all I had was a chopper, cleaver would be better: more lift and more efficient in surface mode.
@@MrRerod yes both cleaver and choppers are designed for surface piercing, your have to have a modified lower unit or separate water pickup for cooling - same as inboard
Beautiful results! Maybe because of the 8-minute edit you lost me during the construction process when your were building the boat - looking at the wood build, thought it was the boat, then suddenly it appeared to be a mold, then out popped a hull...not sure when one part ended and another began, and some stuff missing in between. Nice boat, though.
I bought the plans and built a " mini-most" which was a little hydroplane. I 5 hp motor would push you pretty fast. But! After realizing that they just had a epoxy reinforced wooden transom. I had to do some modification. Do not trust them at all.
When you made the forms, did you cut the pieces by hand, or were they cnc cut? Is this your design/engineering, or did you get it from a book/magazine/online? How long do the molds last until they are worn out or need to be replaced?
Wow, late to the game but man I haz ta say that is an awesome project and very well done video, actually learned a bunch from it too, bonus! Have subbed you and will go check yer channel out, hopefully find some vids of you running this beautiful craft, kudos!
Please tell me that this is made out of marine plywood and not Mdf panels, because that sure looks like Mdf on my screen. I'm guessing it can't be as it is too heavy and deteriorates quickly in wet conditions, but damn it sures looks like Mdf.
It's an a67, but I think it may be out of production by now, great little unit with a good sonar. I actually work for a marine electronics company this may interest you also: echozilla.co.uk/ It's what I would have fitted if it was available then.
@@BoatsandEngines Thanks, I like that newer model, I rebuilt my old 1998 21' Stingray 200CX and have rebuild the dashboard and also added a Tablet for Navigation and Music. it be nice to add the sonar too.
The old Merc: Had to start in gear. If you wanted to go into reverse, you shut off engine, put in reverse and restart engine. Repeat in the opposite sequence to get back into forward gear.
