Speedrun Tricks for Total Chaos: Director's Cut (PC 2020)

These are major tricks (skips, strats, etc) for new maps in Total Chaos Doom II mod (2018) which were added with Director's Cut edition (2020). I did a speedrun of the original edition quite a while ago • Total Chaos (PC 2018) ... and I'm not really interested in re-routing and grinding this massively expanded version, but I have figured some very useful skips in case someone wants to speedrun Director's Cut.
The only reason (to my knowledge) to prefer Retro edition (outside of high PC requirements) is that in the first two maps there are no large pipes in some corridors obfuscating your way - saves just a few seconds.
I don't recommend using a bomb jump from this video cause otherwise you have to waste a bunch of ammo to kill the first boss and this is just a showcase of how useful bomb jumps can be.

Hi there! Just some questions from someone who also wants to speed run this game. First off I know that you have bound the mouse wheel to evade, when I tried to do this in my game, it registered the scroll wheel moving but refused to actually preform the dash, why is this? Also, how did you get all the extra settings and map to show? My setting are way more limited and don’t show that “full options menu” tab. Thanks for making the guide though hope more people jump in on this game, I think it has potential

Press F4 to get inside enhanced gzdoom menu. There you can also bind mouse wheel to evade (for some reason the controls menu is different from the one you get inside escape menu) outside console, but not sure if it will help.
