I like how the actual blindfolded runners have like, 3 sleep masks a pillow and the entire country of Italy in front of their face and he's like "trust bro this string in front of my eyes is good"

"he clearly saw this 1-up with his eyes but then remembered that he's supposed to be blindfolded" is one of the funniest lines i've heard in an exposed speedrun video

A joke fake blindfolded run where you're wearing a blanket over your head to disguise the fact that you're actually wearing a VR headset with cables you have poorly covered in green to chroma key them out on stream.

He didn't fake it. He just figured out that if you look at the screen it's much easier.

PLOT TWIST: He was actually blindfolded but he has a third eye. In the conditions for blindfolded runs it only talks about the two eyes not three.

No, you guys have got it all wrong. When he said he'd been playing for 3 years, he meant TOTAL. Every morning he does a thousand regular and a thousand blindfolded runs. He's gotten so good he literally has backup strategies for every situation a human could possibly be in, in any pixel position and camera orientation. He doesn't "dream", he just plays SMB64 with his eyes closed.

He literally grabs his mouse, and reads comments on his computer before realizing he’s not supposed to be able to see and removes the blindfold at 30:20

The cheater is actually an acquaintance of mine, and is constantly roasted by all of his friends in our group messages and has now somewhat adopted his villainous persona and embraces it a little now. Obviously he doesn't stream or anything anymore so that's good but everyone can rest easy knowing that he's the butt of almost every joke in his friend circle

The cheaters back up excuse was and I quote "Its just a joke, I didn't mean it to be serious"

I love the idea that he knows the game and every single step and button press and level soooo well he can supposedly do it blindfolded on his third or fourth try but when he gets to the sub he’s like “oh is this the submarine?” Like... ok bro lol

I used to watch this guy, and I respected this guy. I was friends with this guy, but I cannot believe how disappointed I am to see that he made a fake speedrun, then in his apology video, to act like his entire audience knew that it was a fake speedrun

I actually watched Bubzia's blindfolded run at AGDQ this year. In the Dire Dire Docks portion of the run he just let Mario drown after things went just a bit awry while swimming (he said, "This is not perfect", to put it exactly). Unless you are an actual god gamer, it's basically impossible to recover if you screw up swimming while blindfolded even just slightly. I like how he's insulting him without directly saying it just with the tone of his voice explaining everything. Even just by watching him directly and not the gameplay you can tell it's fake. Headphones pulling one way while looking the other isn't comfortable, constantly looking in the same direction, leaning forward during intense parts. Wouldn't you rather sit in the most comfortable position while running the game.

What did we learn? You can‘t fool the real nerds. They literally know every single frame and note of the game. 😂

How to actually try to pretend to be blindfolded: Learn the real strats blindfolded runners use, practice them until you can nail them perfectly, THEN do a run pretending to be blindfolded where it seems like you're just really quick at setting it up. But no, this man instead tries to pass off a sighted run as a blindfolded one.
