For anyone wondering about the Amiibo use, Amiibos don't remove any skill from the run, just the RNG of getting a beetle and some bananas. There are separate leaderboards without them but most top runners prefer the Amiibo category.

what i love in the history of this run is all the improvements of the great plateau, if one day we find out it’s possible to skip it, the run might be done in less than 10 min but some magic will be lost

I'm not interested in speedrunning really at all, but even as an outsider I can tell that Linkus is filling an absolutely essential role for the community. Deciphering all the complexities into an entertaining and compact video is unfathomably valuable.

this speedrun is getting very cool. a lot of speedruns just kinda break as soon as newer and better tricks are discovered but here they're using basically all of the tricks developed in different places. awesome

Love this breakdown, I wanted to point out that it is the edge of Duality, (d-u-a-l-i-t-y), not durability, though it is an extremely good weapon.

Current no amiibo route for Attack up is to BLSS from the temple of time to a field in Ridgeland, pick up four Razorshrooms, then BLSS to Hyrule Castle. The no amiibo route has been streamlined into the amiibo route with one detour on the way to Hyrule Castle.

This is amazing. I'm not much of a speedrunner, but I love getting to see how much effort and practice goes into making these routes work. At some point I want to try out some of these glitches though. I successfully pulled off the Shrine of Resurrection escape once, but haven't had the time lately for any others.

Quick QnA because I am noticing a lot of the same questions in the comment section: Q) It’s Called Sword of Duality A) I’ve honestly always called it durability, my brain must have just “auto corrected” it to that every time I’ve picked it up and the name is flashed on screens for a second Q) You called the bomb pushing glitch Wiggle Bomb, I thought the official name was Bow Lift Smuggling Slide (BLSS)? A) Yes, I am sorry but in my opinion Bow Lift Smuggling Slide is a really bad name for a glitch, I should have mentioned it once, then just called it wiggle bomb, I apologize for that mistake! Now to all the real homies who read this entire comment and are still reading, if I am being completely transparent, I think it’s really funny how passionate the comment section is to let me know I messed up this Sword Name, it’s almost as heated of a debate as “Does Pineapple belong on pizza”? (Which btw, it doesn’t)

Linkus7: the majority of the damage is delt by arrows. Link: I'm gonna headshot him a bit, then I make sure he doesn't move while I use every weapon I have to kill him.

I'll never understand why people have fun doing speedruns but it's entertaining to see what people go through to do it lol

Nice video. One question: how large is the insta-death zone around plateau, does it extend in to Hyrule Castle? I mean could you Wiggle-pot fly all the way to Hyrule Castle loading zone?

I stopped playing the game 6 months ago when people were struggling to get past 25m. Amazing how the speedrunning community has improved that time.

Takes me longer than that just to finish the first 4 shrines :sob:
