this is first time using the FREED CONN R1 PRO helmet cam,,, it's a test run for the camera.
the ride is...
the East side of Spencer mountain,TN. heading west, down the hill towards Spencer.
I fell in behind a Harley rider. we coasted on down the hill, enjoying the scenic route.
sorry about the wind noise. I removed the built in camera mic and installed an external mic jack. i ran the mic down and attached it to my belt on my back under my jacket.
more about the helmet cam... I had the video quality set to the second highest setting. not bad for a cheap cam.
I have a FREED CONN R1 PLUS as well.
the R1 Plus records in .MOV format and can only use up to a 64gig card. it has a wind noise reduction built in the settings menu. the video quality is not as good as the PRO(it's not bad).
the R1 Pro records video in .MP4 and uses up to a 128gig card. there is NO noise reduction setting. the video(s) are better quality and smaller file size.
both cameras have a built in mic for the camera(s). they pick up a lot of wind noise even with noise reduction on(R1 plus).
they both have Bluetooth,,,Separate from the camera. you wont record the bluetooth while using the video record function.
you can add several bluetooth devices together,, other helmets, etc... i think it's up to 6 or 8 helmets can be linked together.
I only use the bluetooth to connect my iPod for music. I ride to get away, not to talk on the phone.
I have seen the R1 Plus for about $100 on eBay or Amazon, and the R1 PRO for $139. both should come with everything needed to get you up and recording( if you get the ones that come with a TF card). you will get a lot of WIND NOISE when recording.
I am NOT a sponsor for FREED CONN. I don't get paid, I don't get free shit from them. I'm just a user of these helmet cameras. I wish I got paid,, lol. I'd go out and get a GO PRO newest version,,,, lmao
