Some of the Spider-Man's most important characters to his mythos really never get adaptations its very odd. Lets talk about those characters today! Join this channel to get access to perks: / @spidermania
@@shinymk6562 I know I am so sad. We would have gotten all of his villains and allies. They would have gotten proper development and character arcs. Even though we only got two seasons, its my favorite adaption of spiderman.
Here are some honorable mentions: - The Jackal - The Smythes and their Spider Slayer robots - Swarm - Molten Man - Mr. Negative - Hydro-Man - Scream - Princess Python - Panda-Mania - Calypso
Speed Demon, Beetle (both versions), Digger, Crime Master, Paper Doll, Spider Girl (Mattie Franklin), Debra Whitman, Jean DeWolff, Will o' the Wisp, Massacre, Tinkerer, Carlie Cooper, Morbius, Morlun, Blackie Drago, Trapster, Julia Carpenter, Charlotte DeWinter, Max Horizon, Gloria Grant, Hydro-Man, Screwball, Slyde, Gibbeon, Grizzly, Iguana, Menace, the Big Man, the Enforcers, Jack o' Lantern, Ringmaster, Kangeroo, Tarantula, Boomerang, Puma and-dramatic pause- Ezekiel are optional. That said, yours and srstriker6420's ideas sound great for a new series (preferably one filled with more original content than previous versions). #Food for thought.
Agent Venom has to make the list for me. I hate that ultimate spiderman is the only take on the character outside of comics (sony please just do one movie for the heck of it 😅).
I don't know much about Ben Riley... But I had a booklet of the Symbiote Invasion serie where Peter, Ben and Venom all worked together to stop Carnage and thousands of symbiotes, I tought it was the most badass thing I ever read as a kid. His blue hoodie is nostaglic for me, I just think he looks neat
I'm surprised Robbie Robertson didn't make the list. One of the most important characters in Peter's supporting cast and he's barely in any adaptations.
I think of the villains of this vid Hobgoblin is probably the most ripe for a film role as a villain for Tom’s next trilogy. My personal pick for Roderick Kingsley would be Giancarlo Esposito but if they decided to make Ned the Hobgoblin with some kind of magic twist that could be cool. I also think Insomniac could incorporate Hobie Brown Prowler by having him take up the mantle now that Aaron has retired and he becomes a side villain for Miles in the third game.
I would have gone for Tobin Bell, Steven Lang or the guy who played Eric Sacks from the 2014 TMNT movie and was also the Bank Manager who fought back in the Dark knight
It’s a good thing you brought in Roderick Kingsley as he is very underrated as he was really clever enough that he brainwashes other people to be the Hobgoblin as scapegoats, but do you know what other villains that should be used often is the Spider Queen, Stegron the Dinosaur man, Looter, Coldheart, Grizzly and the White Rabbit
I want a Harry Osborn as the hobgoblin revenge ark kinda mixing new goblin and hobgoblin if not then we need a live action rodrick Kingsley bro is so underrated and deserves more spotlight
No. Harry should take the same mantle as his father. I definitely recommend reading Child Within so you can understand why Harry becoming the Green Goblin works. Kingsley should stay as the Hobgoblin.
@@yospidey0078 i seen a summary of it also I don’t have that money to find that comic but in my eyes I also seen Harry as the stronger and more technologically advanced than normal but not being that brutal or insane which is hobgoblin to me new goblin and 2017 hobgoblin combined are the perfect hobgoblin but after reading more about the comics through marvel official sight Roderick Kingsley is servilely underrated and i love him Just because how smart and behind the scenes he is
Ben Reilly is so engaging as a character and there's so much depth and layers to him, a good version of him would make for an all timer of a story but the issue is twofold. 1)he really only works with an adult Spider-man, most modern adaptations are scared of that. 2) he requires a multi year time jump in a story to allow him to go from being Peter's clone to his own man and I think there's yet to be a spider-man adaptation that has ~5 years between the start and end because whether it's cartoons, movies or games generally they like the story to take place over a relatively short period of time
Jason Macendale is better known as the Demogoblin from Maximum Carnage. Dude was already a Hobgoblin/Jack O' Lantern, but made a deal with demons and became a true menace.
Is quite sad the fact we didn't get the 3 season of spectacular, they had are lot characters setup in the universe they could use. like for example Kasady and now I discovered a lot of characters were actually in the universe just waiting the opportunity to get screentime.
Spectacular Spiderman was definitely going to adapt Hobie brown as Prowler,Roderick Kingsley as hobgoblin, and since miles warren was in the show we likely would have seen ben. The one I want to see the most in a movie is Hobgoblin. But I dont want Ned, I want to see Roderick as the Hobgoblin.
I can understand the dislike of ATSV scarlet spider but at the same time making is whole character the embodiment of the 90s was too funny. Kinda like how shattered dimensions 2099 spiderman isn't close to the character at all but I still think a spiderman with that sense of humor would be amazing.
You forgot the Maggia characters from Marvel comics who are villains of Spider-Man such as Hammerhead, Tombstone, Silvermane, Mister Negative, the Enforcer, madame masque, Count Nefaria etc
In the original comics Jason Mackindale was the Jack o Lantern and became the Hob Goblin after Need Leeds died. Need was said to be the Hob Goblin at that time too. I'm reading from the begining, and until now Kingsly didn't apear has the Hob Goblin.
The spectacular spiderman show would of absolutely had these characters and would of done them pretty good considering their track record with the other characters
I recently got into comics like maybe a month ago and I actually have part 3 of kravens last hunt and I hate vermin so much. Not because he’s a bad character or anything he’s just so creepy but I guess that’s what they were going for so I guess that shows how he’s a well made character
Can't believe Vermin didn't make it into Spiderman 2. Could've just been a mini boss or even just an easter egg of Kraven having hunted him already. Just nothing though.
My pick for this is probably, like... any and all of the extended symbiote roster? This might not be a common opinion, i know so people dont like how many there are and stuff, but i literally just adore the whole roster of them just inherently as a roster of characters. I know we get the occasional showing of toxin or scream and whatnot, but like... i want media to actually delve into the variety that they have! As a concept! C'mon, lasher! Phage! Agony! Put Scorn in something! A proper depiction of agent venom! Need that in my life tbh
Jackal and Black Tarantula are heavily under used imo. Jackal could be really weird and freaky in an adaptation and Black Tarantula should be used in more comics he’s badass.
Everyone hyped up Ben Riley for being one of the main Spider Society characters in ATSV. But he was barely in it, and even then he was a joke. I’m fine with the joke, and I’m also fine with him being a background Spider. (I dont like comics). But all that I wish is that ATSV either had WAY more or substantially less of him, because he’s at this weird awkward place and I don’t like it
They need to make it where miles morales becomes the prowler instead of a spidey copy cat. That way his story is original and more interesting they can finally give him his own villains and enemies he can make as a prowling vigilante
The only major Spider-Man game with Hob Goblin in it was shattered dimensions and it’s not even really hob goblin it’s 2099 Hobby so it doesn’t really count
You should also mention Harry Osborn Green Goblin too. He was the Green Goblin in the animated series which was pretty good, and I guess Spider-Man 3 which was a lame version. It's kind of disappointing Child Within isn't really acknowledged when it comes to Harry adaptations because that story is so good.
I need somebody to adapt Rose. I honestly prefer him over Kingpin as Spider-man’s crime boss villain. His suit is fire and the stuff he got up to with Hobby was classic. He’s the halfway point between Turk and Kingpin. And I think that’s perfect for Spider-man. While Kingpin is emblematic of the systemic issues that Daredevil fights, Rose is emblematic of the neighborhood issues that Peter tries to fight.
I will disagree with your take on ultimate Ben Reilly that it’s not the worst or bad but they should of named it kane but I’m biased because I grew up and still love that show it the whole reason I’m still keep up with marvel outside of the movies and I learned about new characters and there were fun arcs such as hydra sinister six
The fact the new game adapted The Last Hunt mixed with the Symbiote Saga, as well as the size of the rats in the game, not having Vermin make an appearance even if it was the 1st time in that universe was criminal. However, Lizard filling that role was a good call but we need Hobgoblin in SM3 to really keep people on their toes in Goblin Wars storyline. Mark Hamill reprising his role would sell that game. Just please don't let Sweet Baby Inc near the game. At all. I'm all for representing but I don't pay $70 to play as MJ more than Venom, a deaf girl, nor to help a gay couple ask each other to Home Coming. Hailey is a good character. MJ doesn't need to be playable when we have 2 Spider-Men and potentially Venom gameplay.
fun fact i was big spot fan like i fr think he has one of the beast visuals for teleportation powers and i was shock that people don't know him that much before spider verse 2
We need more superior spider man (joke) it’s over done and I don’t like it.and while it’s my favorite alternate spider man I wish it was a one time thing
