The game opens with Spider-Man and Anti-Venom locked in mortal combat near a glowing portal. Spider-Man tries to reason with Eddie Brock and remind him he is not a killer anymore. However, Anti-Venom pays Spider-Man no mind and succeeds in draining the radiation from his body. Spider-Man tells Anti-Venom he had no reason, but Anti-Venom viciously tells him he didn't need a reason, turning his arm into a blade and prepares to bring it through Spider-Man's chest. And thus beings your adventure....
As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

Regardless of whatever problem's this game's story and characterization have, you gotta admit that Josh Keaton (Peter Parker Spidey, reprising his role from Spectacular Spider-Man) and Christopher Daniel Barnes (Miguel O'Hara/Spidey 2099 in this, and Peter/Spidey in the 90s animated series) are giving some really fine performances here, especially Keaton, who definitely proves he can do adult Spidey just as well as his untouchable teenage version.

Yeah, as great as Insomniac Spider-Man is, the whole idea of Spider-Man saving the city from a plague (which results in Manhattan being isolated) had already been done before in previous games, like Web of Shadows and the ASM1 game. Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time are by far the most epic Spider-Man games to date because he literally saves the entire universe.

This Peter and Miguel are from undesignated earths. The Miguel and Peter in Spider-Verse are alternate universe versions of 616 and 928 Peter and Miguel respectively, which the edge of time ones cannot be. Sorry if this sounded rude, I just wanted to spread my nerd knowledge lol.

The game has a good plot, however there's one major plot hole: the "surprise" villain reveal. Peter is revealed to be the CEO of 2099 Alchemax the whole time and the characters act like this was a big surprise. However, Miguel _works_ for Alchemax in 2099. And he's a pretty high up scientist, so he should've already known that the CEO was Peter Parker. Like there's no way Miguel didn't know who his own boss was.

5:45, You can see Miguel getting into the portal, getting stuck (somehow) and seeing Peter's death, he's the only one who remembers what happened aside from Sloan just because he also got in the portal, Peter was not original Alchemax's CEO, Sloan even mentions the other CEO, Miguel has no idea what changed in his future

Tereik Nba and Artist it already is kind of like a movie made into a video game that we can watch and be a part of the action, all packed into one story without ruining or sugarcoating the original character. It’s an excellent example of a great story taught right by leaving the original alone while also effectively making a new story to move the characters along in the action to a problem that they both can relate too without disrupting the original from the new. I know it is pretty complicated.

Since Dan Slott helped write the story and script for this game...why do I feel this was him teasing all the fans about his Superior Spider-Man run? Evil Peter? The Megalomania? The use of mechanical arms in his final fight with Miguel despite still having his powers? I think this was a timeline where the events of Superior Spider-Man never ended, and Otto stayed in Peter's body for the rest of his days. It surely explains why he's such an evil POS in the future. Besides, running Alchemax, creating drugs that stop aging, what he "did to Black Cat"(ie betraying her and costing her everything by getting her arrested) a lot of this points to Slott laying the wink wink nudge nudge groundwork for Superior Spider-Man
