Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions - Level 12: Carnage Boss Fight (Platinum Medal)

I loved how, while Spider-Man is usually calm and quippy with just about everything, in this case he’s dead serious with the determined goal of slaying Carnage, this is how Carnage should be treated

Carnage was terrifying enough in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. The game made this monster just as horrifying.

this is prob one of the darkest levels in the game

This game is so underrated in my opinion....I remember watching gameplay of this & Web of Shadows when I was younger. Still holds up today.

Just imagine if “VENOM: Let There Be Carnage” had the prison break a little more like this. Having everyone drained to husks. It would’ve earned the R rating.

This is probably my favourite stage in the entire game and that was true before I even knew what Ultimate Carnage was (the killer of Gwen Stacy in that universe) . You take the host away from the symbiote and what is he? A monster, a monster who just wants to consume everything and what happens when you let that monster loose? Hell on earth. Everything about this stage is awesome, the stakes, the setting and especially the score and boss fight.

The best level in the game IMO. A lot of levels are fighting inorganic monsters and fighting thugs, henchmen, or mercenaries/hired help outside of the main villains, and the most damage you actually see are in low-populated areas although there is quite a lot of damage caused. Carnage is the biggest rule-breaker here. It slaughters most of the SHIELD triskellion and reanimates their lifeless corpses after draining each and every one of them of their life, infects and destroys the entire building, and then spawns more symbiotes. It tears through the triskellion defenses and killing everyone along the way. On top of that, the spider-slayers that are deployed to combat the symbiotes see Spider-Man as a threat too because of wearing his own symbiote. Even the helicarrier which is in the air is infected and destroyed. It's a total war with no rules and the two biggest sides fighting are both going after Spidey as well, excluding the reprogrammed slayers at the end and whoever survived the massacre. It lets you really get a good grasp of not only what Marvel symbiotes are capable of in any universe, but the utter desperation of the situation that you're in. On top of that, when you fight carnage it's the only villain that never talks and is only capable of screeches, when even Scorpion 2099 was capable of some human communication although limited due to losing his sanity and humanity. Carnage was the only truly inhuman villain (this version dosen't have a host), and it shows it without hesitation. Even when fighting it, Carnage acts and fights more like a wild animal that's driven by nothing but instinct. Amazing level design, intense atmosphere, difficulty, and fights, and Maximum Carnage.

Yall should read up on Ultimate Carnage. It's one of the most disturbing symbiotes out there. And in this level, you'll understand why Peter hates it so much

I won't lie. when I played this level as a kid, It really creeped me out, especially Carnage. Because just by seeing what he's done to SHIELD and the agents you can tell that Carnage poses more of a threat compared to the previous villains in the game.

also, I know a lot of people are ticked off about him being an expiriment gone wrong, but I actually have a soft Spot for Ultimate Venom maybe its because I grew up playing the ultimate spider-man game

It wouldn't surprise me that Peter would've gone mad after this, the amount of death and agony during this level is a fun contrast between the Deadpool fight.

Yeah, kind of defeats the purpose of Spider-Man wearing a suit that doesn't resemble the symbiote.

I love the idea that Carnage is a manifestation of a character similar to the Joker. The idea of complete power and bloodlust makes the most terrifying combination. This was a fantastic villain to fight.

I think they do a much better job of portraying ultimate carnage as this ravenous infectious monster than anywhere else including the actual ultimate comics. I do still HIGHLY prefer 616 carnage though, it just not the same without by boy Cassidy.

I’m watching this in December 2019 and I used to play this game and all I got to say is that game graphics and stuff like that have gotten way better through out the years

Miles' ass is lucky that Shattered Dimensions happened when it did. One year later and he was pretty much guaranteed to die during this.

This mission reminded me of the ultimate spiderman game where u play as venom and try to fight carnage.

best Spider-Man game ever

From Ultimate Spider-Man they never knew its name as Carnage. Normally in Amazing's version it was Carnage Killer Cletus Kassidy who has the symbiote's red offspring of Venom. I just don't know where the hell is Cletus in the ultimate dimension come to think of it. Also Cletus in the amazing version had killed his grandmother, and girl to be. And like son like father, his father killed his mother when his mother realizes for a long time he has been a killer since a kid age by trying to kill him when he tried killing her by bringing a livewired tv in her running bathtub time. A psychopath.

Jeez, this Spider-Man is 15 years old and he’s 1000 times braver and ballsier than iron man jr in infinity war and endgame 😂

I really like the three way battle which is you vs symbiotes vs slayers.
