The Spectacular Spider-Man is an American superhero animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, created and developed by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook. In terms of overall tone and style, the series is based principally on the Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and John Romita Sr. era of The Amazing Spider-Man comic books, with a similar balance of action, drama, and comedy as well as a high school setting. However, it also tends to blend material from all eras of the comic's run-up to that point in addition to other sources such as the Ultimate Spider-Man comics by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, as well as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film series.

I love how as a kid we are made to believe that Kraven would be stronger due to his "superior" gene slicing crap but even in this fight we see glimpses of Spider-Man not holding back and sending Kraven flying. Cool detail

If they both got the proportionate strenght of their respective animals, it only makes sense that Spider-man is still dramatically stronger than Kraven, because lions cannot lift dozens times their weight. That's another thing that they most likely didn't highlight much so the plot could carry on, although if you think about it you can still link it to Spidey holding back

@@Rieky22 I'd assume Kraven has it too from going through a similar treatment. However you can also argue that Kraven was already at a good olympic level while human, whereas Peter was never particularly sportive before the bite

@ashirapid9614 Spider-Man is still better. He can run 200 miles per hour, lift 129.8 tonnes and attack with 50 tonnes of force. Also stick to any surface. Don't know about you. But that's better than what a Cheetah 🐆 ,Lion 🦁 and Leopard can do.

Goddamn it!!! I'm starting to hate the people over at Disney because they're complete assholes. I just watched Spectacular Spider-Man 5 months ago and Spider-Man TNAS last year. I swear if they remove all of my favorite Animated Marvel shows including X-Men, I'll never watch Disney Plus again. Disney isn't the same anymore as it used to be since 2020.

I looked up the top 10 BEST Spider-Man series. Spider-Man the animated series from 1994 was SECOND. Number one: Spectacular Spider-Man was number 1 people~ Due to its unique art style and voice casting. And it wasn’t JUST a high school drama. And it was THE ABSOLUTE closest towards the comics. Which might have been why in Spider-Man into the SpiderVerse brought Josh Keaton into 2023 movie. Call that an honor~

Honestly, I don’t like the idea of Craven becoming a lion person especially because Spider-Man already has a villan with a similar story and powers he‘s call Puma Seriously, they are very similar even having the whole i am a hunter thing . Besides not makes Craven less cool since beyond some asteroids graven is supposed to be a normal guy the best hunter of the Marvel universe and here he apparently is so bad at his job that he needs to transform his beam into puma👎

0:13, 2:17 i hate when the Spider-sense doesn't work. It's not just Spectular Spider-man but in all the media . Everytime or it doesn't work or when it works Spidy doesn't react to it . Kraven is basically like Bane in Batman. You remember them for accomplishing this singular feat (Bane breaks Batman and Kraven buries Spider-Man), but beyond that, nothing else they do has becomes memorable.

It was taken from Ultimate Spider-Man genetically tampered with his DNA, allowing him to assume the form of a gruesome leonine-like monster at will in an attempt to get revenge on Spider-Man and try to revive his show. (Taking elements of 616 and playing around with it). Apparently if there was a season 3, they would have fleshed this out and expanded on it, as well as his relationship with Calypso
