Based on the novelization version of the mirror scene, when Peter tried to take off the black suit it was difficult because it was stuck to his skin like glue. I assume the tired expression on his face is due to amount of physical effort he had to do to remove the suit.
The scene at 2:25 with Eddie as venom looks so much creepier than the theatrical version. I’m telling ya, Sam Raimi is a master at making horror films. He could’ve made Venom a lot scarier
@@G59METH it was probably what raimi wanted to do after being forced to include venom so he can somewhat give all the characters some development and not have to mash it all in one movie. but idk.
V for Vegan Because it’s not the Eddie Brock Venom. It’s Peter taken over by the suit. It’s actually really fitting since it actually looks like the wearer is trapped in it with the human teeth and all. Plus it’s a slightly earlier design and got deleted anyway.
0:31 that is actually horrifying I feel like at first this was gonna be a horror movie. I have never been so glad Peter got rid of the black suit geez.
2:27 This design of venom is way scarier than the final design. Sam is really good at making horror elements & i wish this was in the final cut of the movie
Venoms torment on peters body and soul was originally going to be the main focus of spider-man three, at least the first part of it. This is why the mirror jump scare scene shows the mouth of venom as well as peters screaming mouth underneath it. The look of venom we were going to get was going to be that of a disturbing contorted being twisting eddies body un-naturally as a-pose to the semi-physically intimidating venom that we received. Personally I love this idea as the conflict between eddie and peter would of made so much more sense and would of panned out completely differently. Peter would of been crumbling from the inside out, trapped inside his ever changing mind, while eddie was thriving as a photographer but as peter started to win, eddie started to lose. As it was so much easier for venom to take over the mind of the defeated eddie than the fighting peter. In the end peter would attempt to save eddies life in order to help give his life meaning without his fuel being hate and fear. But of course Eddie would refuse seemingly choosing to stay with venom but when peter pulls him out, we would of seen Eddie’s destroyed and peeled corpse, as venom had stripped him to the bone absorbing his body. Eddie might of been the voice of venom but underneath the symbiote, he had been reduced to a hollow puppet While as a comic book fan I know that venom wouldn’t of done this, from a movie stand point venom symbolised our inner demons and this would of shown the psychological toll of hatred and malice and how eventually it would leave you stripped barren and bare.
I'm telling you they did in the theater I seen it in, there was more than even these deleted scenes that are in 3.1, Venom was way more terrifying and even the black suit scenes on Peter, when he first got it and when he got rid of it was longer and had more terror, struggle, and detail then what clips I've been seeing for the past 15 years. There are a lot of movies that have deleted, unfinished, and concept remnants of what was actually released for a short time, like the 3rd Chipmunks movie having scenes that are de-rendered being shoved into the deleted scenes section of it's DVD and more scenes that are noticeably absent or edited from it's theatrical release.
@@josearnaldoleitedossantos3435 I'm sorry, if I say any more it may be just bad memory. I listed all that I am 90% sure of and I don't have much else to remember anyway. That Venom I seen in theaters had the whole theater of children crying, a little more black suit, and Sandman had more time too.
agree but i think they changed it because of 13+ age restriction i mean it would be way too scary and im a kid and i had nightmares from this last night but still is pretty cool
@@xzx_lag2974 yeah like how green goblin looked scarier in original and the goblin transformation in the amazing 2 was supposed to look more horrific but because dumb kids were too scared it got put down but at least with the green goblin in Spider-Man 1 his design was just as badass
In the novelization of spiderman 3,it's also said Eddie Brock is actually nothing more than a corpse inside venom, a dead body that has already been entirely consumed by the symbiote (symbolizing someone being consumed by hatred), and I think I heard it was Sam raimi's original plan for this movie too. However, as you might guess, having a corpse as a vilain would have been wayyy too dark. But at the same time, it would have been so cool, so interesting and would have made so much more sense than what we got
@@bigfish5544 honestly that sounds amazing but at the same time I kind of like how he was still alive and when they were separated he still wanted to be with the symbiote which caused him to explode along with the symbiote
@@OneUp-18 yeah, I liked that too, but as a character I mean, Eddie Brock was more comedic than actually threatening. I mean, he was a fun vilain, but he definitely didn't really work in the role of the scary antagonist that is venom
i wish spiderman 4 was made. It would have been amazing to see it. But since the 3rd one in the series didn't really get enough money. Sony decided, screw it. We'll just reboot it all over again.... Sam Raimi's spiderman will always be the greatest spiderman films to ever be created. Due to growing up with the series of course. Update: Look, i'm fully aware of all the recent comments i've been getting over how much Spider-Man 3 gardened more amount of money compared to the first two sam raimi films. And i would like to fully apologize for that. I sadly didnt do much research at the time of writing that comment that's almost 4 years ago. (SPOILER FOR NWH) that being said, i'm super excited to see Tobey return in future installments of the MCU. Also there seems to be a Spider-Man 4 film that's in the works. So once again, with that being said. I would like to formally apologize for not checking ''My facts straight'' with the 3rd film in the series.
Spider-Man 3 made $890 million. It was a huge success financially. Raimi couldn’t get a script together for a fourth movie so Sony scrapped it and rebooted the series.
I think that last venom one, where Eddie transforms at the bottom of the church, is the unused animatronic. It could be that as its design is very similar
I like to think of the venom in the mirror scene, as his spider sense showing him that image, basically warning him that suit is taking him over and needs to rip it off right now.
It's weird how venom went through soany redesigns. Originally, he had a smooth comic-accurate look, then he had a purple design that was used for most of his merchandise, then the purple design was recolored to black/grey for the final cut. There's also a deleted scene of elvenom rummaging through Peter's room while he's in the shower. The scene makes it into the novelization and we still see Peter showering in the final cut.
1:15 Wait, this scene is on the movie. And I'm not talking about Spiderman 3.1 Editor's Cut 2:14 This scene is on the movie 2:29 This scene is on the movie, but the Venom part is slightly different 2:31 Scene from the movie...
Peter Venom scarier. Going by this very Raimi tone; With his powers plus Symbiotes aggressive savage nature, dude would've probably started cannibalizing on some feral instinct or kill for sport.
@@josuesolar1771 you remember it when you were 3 bruh i don't even remember what i ate yesterday not only that bro i existed on this planet for 15 years and i don't remember anything
@@josuesolar1771 bro i believe you its pretty common infact my twin sister remembers everything she ever did since grade 1 literally everyone in my life remembers everything they did since they were a child meanwhile I'm here sitting trying to remember what i ate a few secs ago
That scene in the 2018 movie was actually referencing a scene in the 1990’s animated series when Spidey sees Venom in his reflection after wearing the black suit and almost killing Rhino in a fit of rage. I think this deleted scene borrowed from that, too.
now that you have mentioned it i think there was a similar scene in venom... no wonder i was thinking that why does these scenes looks like i have seen it eventhough its the first time watching it.
So would this retcon Spider-Man 3? Edit: By that I mean this would soft reboot SM3, Venom wouldn't take happen in Spider-Man 3. Since it has been retcon, or he would, just never died.
0:48 does a really good job summing up addiction (which is basically what venom stands for in this movie). We see peter using the black suit, having the fun of his life momentarily and absolutely not giving a shit about his responsibilities. Right in the next scene, he puts away the black suit and realises that what he has been doing is wrong, he feels dissatisfied and even disgusted with himself. Without the suit on, he feels empty and hollow. It's basically addiction in a nutshell
This 'venom' nature is more likely riot or close to Carnage than Venom Tom hardy's version. It would be interesting when 2 symbiote fight each other one day
Ik it happens to me too when you watch it you remember the scene was actually like this and when you see it again when you're older it doesn't come out what you remembered.
I liked where they were going with this concept. You can see venoms teeth and you can also see peters teeth. I don’t know if they were gonna cover it up or something, but from the way it looks you can visually see that Peter is trapped inside a monster.
No wonder sam raimi is my favorite marvel director he can make some super scary elements in his movies Venom looked terrifying spiderman 3 underrated asf
The Venom in the mirror was very cool they should’ve kept it, it’s so creepy it’s like a warning of who Peter is turning in to, except he’s screaming for help because venom has completely absorbed him.
I heard in a podcast that the original design for the black suit along with venom wad scrapped because it didn't look like a suit and to much like a naked body. Boy, sure glad they made that call. Almost had a comic book accurate design for a minute. Hoo boy, what a relief.
1:28 me at the other side of the room reminiscing my cat while its stands up by it's back leg and says my full legal name and address after going back to walking with it's four legs again
I probably lack a lot of background info, since I don't know, why the movie gets such heat, but this in my eyes this was the best of all the 3 Spider-Man movies! The topic of vengeance, the portrayal of Venom, the background story about Flint Marko and many other details perfectly mixed together in this movie!
@@Cracknutter22 true but it’s not like you see Peter trapped inside venom unless you pause at the right moment, and nobody is even going to pause for a jump-scare, but then again you still hear the screams and see the white flash so I guess you still have to feel sympathy for younger audiences who also want to watch the movie
If you pause at the right time at 0:30, you can see Peter in venom form. It’s pretty sick. Edit: July 24, 2020: Looking back at it, he nose looks deformed, and the bottom teeth are over his lip. Wtf
In both parts I didnt see it, but u missed a scene. There's another scene where the symbiote survives at the end and is crawling away. The symbiote itself is small as its only a piece but it was supposed to be returning in SP4
