I have both! In the wet I go for the spike type! Here in Texas during the summer you want the lightest possible! Thanks Mark

Hip replacement 4 months ago, advised by surgeon that I need shoes that allow my foot to turn & not lock my foot (& over twist hip) he doesn’t play golf tho so doesn’t recognise that we do turn foot. I feel safer in my FJ spikes as it reduces slip risk when walking between holes😉

I’m 53. Had my first hip replaced at 43 and my second one last year…I used spikeless for about the first 6-8 months after both surgeries (Ecco’s), and now use both, depending on the weather conditions. If I’m on the range and it’s later in the day/dry, or walking a round later in the day when it’s not wet, I’ll use the spikeless, but if it’s wet out at all, I go with spikes…I’ve had no issues at all…good luck and congrats on the hip replacement. They haven’t written the Golf Digest article yet, but a hip replacement is guaranteed to give you 25 extra yards on your drive…I’m getting 50 extra with the two hips! LOL!

I feel he cant say much being a rep that carrys both products, but i can. If you have a higher swing speed, use steel stiff shafts, stay away from spike less, youll kill yourself swinging with those. Most women and guys that play with graphite, or just have a more slower swing can get away with them. I wouldnt recommend anyone using them on wet grass like after it rains, morning dew, or if they just ran the sprinklers. This is soley my opinion of course.

I have a pair of Nike spiked and Adidas spikeless. Tend to use the Nike shoes during the winter and Adidas during the summer. I do have a problem with the underside of my feet so for comfort value I prefer the Adidas shoes. I can walk the course without any issues with my feet whereas the Nike shoes kill if I walk too far in them and need a buggy.

The only shoe that fits me is the Ecco brand which is obviously a premium cost, I prefer spikeless thru summer up tp October (generally) but they wear down due to my walking pattern, (and paths etc) which means 70% of shoe is fine when I change. But spikes are far better for winter/wet courses especially having had a slip/fall.

I prefer spikeless, by the time I wear out the spikes on the bottom of spikeless, I am ready for a new pair. I really like the FJ spikeless, I have never slipped in them. I have slipped in ECCO spikeless a couple of times. I have had the cleats fall out to many times in cleated shoes and that can be a pain in the ass when traveling.

Same here. I absolutely love my FJ Pro/SL spikeless shoes. I have a higher than average swing speed (112-115 with driver) and I've yet to slip.

I have spiked shoes but take the spikes out when playing indoors and it feels like a spikeless shoe

Also, spikeless can be worn as a casual shoe off the course.

I tore my mcl on a slip a year ago in a spiked shoe (adidas tour360 Ltd 2). The soft spikes would just slip and I’d be fine but the spikes slipped and gripped and I was pushing off for a driver and my upper leg overpowered my knee…pop goes the mcl like a gunshot. We go in hospital

Can you wear the spineless on concrete or asphalt, on your way to the course?

Absolutely, just be a little careful if driving/travelling to the course, some spikeless sole patterns are more accentuated than others and may get in the way
