Correction: 8 minutes into the video i say "spawning salmon can be found in deep holes" what I should have said is that "salmon sit in these deep holes before continuing their journey up river to spawn." Salmon spawn on shalllow rock beds not deep holes

Awesome stuff. I fished the Pierre Marquette with a guide my first couple years. I started fishing from shore this year for first time. We showed up mid spawn and could not get them to bite. Still a lot of fun. Thanks for the tips!

Arctic spinners are some of my favorites but spawning salmon definitely do not sit in deep holes. If you’re finding them in deep holes they are still in the pre-spawn stage when they are spawning they’re up on gravel and shallow water
