Jordan and his son Austin Kettlewell hit the Pere Marquette with Steve Cornetet of Baldwin Creek Lodge. Also home to Stealthcraft boats. Jordan and Austin tie into numerous fish on the two day trip they took in early spring of 2017.
I love these videos and hate them at the same time. I remember years ago when the crowds where smaller on rivers like the P.M and question how much RU-vid, facebook and other social media outlets are to blame for the larger numbers. Congrats on the killer fishing. Love my Stealthcraft boat
I agree 100% its public and we as anglers, hunters and sportsmen and women need to fight to maintain and keep these public resources as great as we can. Good luck this spring, should be some great action this year
Just curious as to why you "revive" or hold them head down stream?? Guides are usually animate about holding them in the current head facing upstream. Fished the PM many years, steelhead and kings and even though we've only used a guide once, he wanted the fish held facing upstream as to not injure the fish's gills n plate
That’s a good question and I can’t honestly say I’ve heard the difference in release methods. It’s a good point to bring up if the benefits are weighed heavy from one way to the other.
Nothing like teaching the kids how to catch them and not release them properly. You should stand there and talk with the fish out of water a little longer. Might as well eat them if you're going to kill them.
James W Steelhead is delicious! But we don’t usually keep them. We like to come back and catch them at a later time. Thanks for commenting, Tight lines!
@@MichiganGoneWild Well that's great, hope the chitter chatter with the fish out of water is minimized in the future. Perhaps editing is to blame for the apparent lack of recovery time prior to release. Yes, we critics get testy but only out of concern for sustainability of a healthy fishery.
Please, guys. . . can you not hold the fish out of the water, gasping for oxygen it can't get after a long, arduous fight, for such a long time. I know you mean no harm and catch and release, but there's no call to torture the fish and possible kill them that way
