I like how Alpha kept on calling things cute, (and also accurately guessing the plot) but little did he know this was the darkest Splatoon... anything... so far.

i like how Al just instantly killed his own mood at the end when he was making a joke about Pearl "whaling" at the statue and it turned out to be true with the killer whale.

Splatoon 2: Octo expansion. An octoling girl wakes up in an underground facility. As she makes her way through, she is guided by an A.I. being that promises a reward if a series of tests are completed beforehand. After the tests, she gets the reward, but the A.I. turns out to be evil, and the reward turns out to be death. She somehow escapes that death, and now has to escape the facility. She makes it to the top, where she meets the A.I. and defeats it in a battle to the death, destroying it for good. This is the same story as Portal.

I was 17 years old when this came out and I was living down in florida when I played this game and the ending still brings me to tears with just how all turned out for them in the end and most definitely with the music 100%. I love & enjoy it all so ery much

Just realized the Hasta La Vista Station tells you to "terminate" all the enemies, despite all others using the word "defeat". Such a cool detail.

I was 14 when I got and beat the expansion, originally had to buy some of the harder levels but they’re all done now lol. I also skipped the final boss at first bc of anxiety issues, but I went back and redid it. The only thing I still haven’t done is the Inner Agent 3 fight, it’s ridiculously difficult and I never have the time for it

When he fell into the water near the end the thing said “agent 8 Agent 8” I’m hoping it’s a snake reference

The thing with Alpharad videos is that you feel that the 40 minute video goes by like 10 minutes. Its just so good.

3 years later after Octo Expansion released and I was hoping for a spin off where we play as Agent 3 and see what they were doing while the Octoling you play was going through all the stages.

This is easily some of the best content Nintendo has ever made. It goes right up there with Ocarina of Time, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Odyssey, and Pokemon Legends Arceus and you cannot change my mind.

Seriously tho, Splatoon has the best soundtrack of any 1st party Switch game, hands-down. Spans multiple genres of music and they all feel like they fit both in-universe and in a kids game. Hell, we got *SQUID METAL* as a genre in the 1st game!! This DLC was definitely what put Splatoon 2 from "a great sequel" to "a perfect game" for me. I can't wait to see where they take this IP (I'm really hoping Salmonoids are the next main baddies, I wanna see where that can go), and I'll shell out for more amiibo if I have to. Perfect games in my eyes, good job nintendo

when i comepleted every level i was 13 it was a great experience but at the same time i also h a t e d it it was so much more difficult than i expected and im glad i wasnt the only one who thought so lol

Im 15 and the octo expansion was overall a little hard, in a good way The hard levels took 1-3 tries and no level took me over 4 Also most levels took only 1 try, usually after losing one life i'd pass

Even after years revisiting this and the song at the end.. the nostalgia

Octo expansion has my favourite final boss in all of gaming because it’s just playing the game normally Not a large amount of gimmicks to keep it interesting Not just a spam fest Just plain splatoon at its finest , turf war whil still keeping it interesting

This is definitely my favorite final boss of splatoon, even after splatoon 3 Just the way that it's set up like a turf war and even has the results being tallied in the end cutscene puts a huge smile on my face!

for girl power station I usually kill the enemies when they spawn, theres a pattern you can follow also and it is much easier then taking them on all at once at the orb

I love alphas vids because they may come out slow (I mean not every day. I'm on RU-vid too much so it seems slow for me), but damn are they good. Also, with games like these, he will just make a video with the entire thing, rather than drag it out 30 episodes for more views. Great job alpha :3

When I first played the Octo Expansion, I thought that the blender was for the Mem cakes. Like, blending the Mem cakes. I was actually surprised when the player and Captain Cuddlefish entered the blender. Is that bad? Probably. Edit: Omg thank you for all of the likes! :D

23, I consider myself a splatoon veteran and believe me when I say this; Going through all 80 tests is an absolute slog and will break you if you lack the determination. I never once used the cheat to complete any level (though was tempted with one level, can't remember which one though) so I got all the rewards. And this expansion will transform you into a nightmare on the turf war in multiplayer. completing all 80 tests also unlocks a secret final boss fight and HOOO-BOI if nothing else broke you yet like a pencil; this *will*. it's free to do, but my gosh, it's insane. I gotten sooo close to beating it so many times but then one teeny-tiny ink drop hits me and ends it all.

Octo Expansion is like Metal Gear Rising. They're both innovative from the games that they're derived from that they're great games in their own way.

Fun fact: if you die in the last stages your character dies for real and it just sets time back so you can have another try so each time you died is another timeline where 8 died and the world probably got destroyed

I was originally 12 when I got this DLC, but it was pretty fun and honestly not that hard. That’s considering that I hadn’t already loved the game more than my actual switch.
