Clam Blitz solo queue is a nightmare. Clam Blitz League with voice chat and friends is amazing.

During my first B- match in Clam Blitz, we went into overtime for TWO MINUTES because no one could score any points. If that isn't a perfect representation of the mode's competitiveness and requirement for cooperation, I don't know what is.

Phases 1,2 and 3: *hope for decent team mates...*

When I play clam blitz, I'm all about the beakons! I use the Dapple Dualies to dash into the enemy base and then I put beakons in small corners. Then whenever I get a super clam, I jump to one of the beakons. I try to keep beakons down in the enemy as much as possible.

I tired playing Clam Blitz with the newly released Squeezer and I’m having a lot of fun with it, especially on defence when defending the goal by using Splash Walls to stop enemies from getting close to the goal and the Sting Ray to pressure and kill any Power Clam holders.

Sometimes a killer is needed in clam blitz like a sniper. Just get a bunch of kills and throw clams to your teamates

Whenever I play Clam Blitz I always go for the dualie squelchers, it gives some pretty good offensive and defensive tactics with the dodge rolling, i like to use the rolling as a way to dodge the enemy shots and to get past them to throw the power clam into the barrier, you may end up getting killed but at least you break the barrier for your team to push the objective, one sub weapon I do like to use in this mode is the squid beacon, the beacon is actually really good in this mode cause you could just rush to an area closest to the basket and put down a beacon there, so say if you have a power clam you could superjump to that beacon while the other team is busy trying to gather clams and killing your team, then you could simply throw the power clam and break the barrier and possibly get some more points in for your team

I don't like it in ranked play because it's far too dependent on your team's abilities and you can't communicate with your team.

Imo if you’re going to defend your basket throughout the whole match you shouldn’t pick up clams because the clams aren’t doing any good at base and if you die you’re basically just giving these clams to the other team to throw directly in after the kill.

In League it's definitely the most fun mode, followed by Rainmaker. But in ranked it sucks, I'm still A+ smh

I really wish clam blitz was a casual mode. It feels competitive in the way turf war feels competitive. Plus we need more casual modes

Clam blitz is nightmare in soloq.

I found the vanilla Spattershot Pro to be one of the best weapons. The Inkcloud can keep the ground covered as you fight near the enemy basket (while keeping them at bay and making them easier to kill if they step inside). Point Sensors give myself and teammates info about enemy location (either while they are collecting or while they are trying to advance). As people have said, solo q Clam Blitz is hard. I'm still in C- due to the combination of players not understanding the game and having not good players. It is also more difficult because it is impossible to carry. In other modes, you could get away with a 3 piece and trade, but in Clam Blitz, that's worthless if your teammates aren't ready go. Without coordination, the game is more "who has the better players" than "who can pull themselves together and work as a team"

For Clam Blitz I use the Speed Blaster with a full set gear of Swim Speed+. The Speed Blaster has a long reach and it overwhelms the other team since they’re worried about collecting clams and when it’s time to protect their turf or run to throw the ball on the other team’s nest, in this mode, they never separate, all four of them are always together so the blaster keeps them away plus splat multiple squids at once. The Swimming Speed gear it’s for obvious reasons but, since you can have up to 4 footballs, I’ve noticed people always get distracted/focus on ONLY one football that by the time they realize it, I’m already throwing the ball thru the nest. Speed Blaster also comes with Ink Mines (always nice to keep an eye on the enemy) but the most useful one is the Bomb Rush because when I’m near the enemy’s net, I use it and it either pushes them away OR it splats multiple squids since, once again, they charge all at once. This method got me in S+ the same day Clam Blitz came out and I have crappy experience with blasters, let alone the Speed Blaster which we all know sucks 100% if you don’t know how to use it.

The tip you give with the bubble it help me the enemies were in lead put because of the bubble we were able to win and also i have a tip put beacon next to the enemy basket then super jump with the super clamp it will not broke I've done it before

I think the splat roller is really good for clam blitz. When you are up close, you can kill the guy. The curling bomb can ink a path to the enemy basket. The splashdown also helps when you are up close.

Tip about the Baller is that if an enemy breaks it rather than it exploding, you will keep the clams you have on hand making it easy to throw a power clam at the enemies goal

My main weapon in clam blitz is the Kensa Octobrush. My strategy is to pick up 9 clams at the start of the game and then look for an opening to push into the enemy base and once I'm there I look for any clams the enemy has left behind and pick them up for the power clam and score when they least expect it and then I try to put as much pressure as I can on the enemies and when I don't have enough clams, but one of my teammates does, I use the Ultra-Stamp to not only push in, but also clear a path so my teammate can go for the score.

I really like the bamboozler for clam blitz. It's special isn't that great, but because it has curling bombs and it charges so quickly, you're able to be extremely mobile and score on the basket while also being able to outrange any would-be attackers. It's speed and range allows you to fill whatever role is needed, and because clam blitz is more spread out there's not as much pressure keeping you from landing that second shot.

things I do with my friends in clam blitz: rushing to mid but waiting for the other team and ambush them for moar clams, use a side route (walleye ware house, that long jump in mainstage. use recon to find some of these) with a friend where one has 9 clams, so they can't detect you straight away, then throw a clam over to make a super clam, throw into basket, protect friend with special, create opening with curling bomb for your team mate, have your team mates put all of their clams in. ez win. DON'T SUPER JUMP WITH A SUPER CLAM. Use the ability to throw clams to your advantage. throw four of them like how they drop, and when an enemy comes over, KEEL THEM. (only during stalemates) don't break a basket on your own, if ur going sneaky, your team mates wont know and will blindly charge in and die and when it closes. the other team will get a super clam and rush you with 2 times the clams than what you threw in. only do ^^^ if they are rushing you, its funny when they can't open your basket, but have 3 super clams. don't rage when team mates can't kill a guy rushing your basket. It happens to all of us. and finally... My dad works at nintendo and he said that after yo have a super clam, you can collect more and get a second, and when yo have 10, it makes you win the game. (pls dont actually try this)

In lower level play, Squid Beakons are amazing! Plant 2 or 3 around the enemy base, and you can get a Super Clam into the basket almost instantly. There are also lots of other strats I've used, like baiting people with a bunch of clams on the ground. Another one I've used is this: while your barrier is broken and the entire enemy team is distracted, grab a Super Clam and head over to the enemy basket. The barrier will be ready to bresk the moment yours is back up. You can also go "stealth" by throwing your Super Clam on the ground, making your opponents (from far away or just looking at the map) think you died and lost it.

The blaster I find is the most viable weapon for solo queue, because of it's excellence as a defense weapon. The hard truth about most games is that they're decided by the goalies, not the offense. The offense can only act at certain windows of opportunity, whereas the goalies need to always be on the watch because you never know when there's gonna be a push. The blaster not only fits this role due to it's status as a very strong combat specialist, but it can also support pushes by suppressing the goalies with the threat of picking a fight, and the toxic mist bubbles. If necessary a splashdown can also clear out the area, both offensively and defensively. Because solo queue tends to be void of coordination, you never really know where people are gonna be popping up, so a combat specialist is even more useful since you may run into fights anywhere, and you always need to be able to win those fights to keep the enemy from getting clams and slow down all their progression, as well as create openings for your team

My personal best is inkbrush nouveau! As you said, baller is really good for getting the power clam there or clearing the path, and i find ink mines super helpful in this mode too? I usually can't do much with them in turf wars, but they work so well in clam blitz (for both locating and weakening/taking out opponents approaching the basket or coming for you when your team is pushing) If you like using any of the brushes in general, I certainly recommend nouveau for clam blitz.

I think it's more of a type of team, like a rock paper scissors match with sneaky teams, defense based, and attack based

Additional tips I've noticed while playing clam blitz : 1- When you make the ball explode, you drop your clams/ power clam. However, if your baller is broken by the enemy team, it does not. If the enemy is focusing on your baller, you're guaranteed to be able to throw your power clam in (if you're close enough), but you'll almost certainly end up dead so it would require teamwork. 2- Superjumping to a teammate doesn't make you drop your clams. So you can use this to jump to a teammate who stealth-ed their way into the enemy base and surprise them with a power clam. (I also agree with the fact that forge pro is a super powerful weapon in CB right now)

I could be wrong and it wouldn’t work in most cases, but it seems you can use the Inkjet to retrieve the power clam when it’s in a tricky spot, considering you can pick up clams while using an Inkjet.

Sting Ray is also good at starting a push toward the enemy's basket. It can interfere if you also pushing with Bubbles though.

I find that one of the best weapons is the tentabrella because of the defense you get when you make a push. Like using the bubbles then releasing the tent so give you cover.

The best defending weapon I have found is the heavy splatling. Wall and bubblea. And doesn't take too long to charge like the hydra.There is usually one access points to your basket.So you,can,usually just stand there taking them out. Only thing that could stop it is a very aggressive sniper, which is rare.I regularly het 20+ kills and they never score a point.

the jet squelcher for me is a great defensive weapon but the ink brush in clam blitz is the one for offensive pushes

With the ability to feed clams to other teammates, a hunter role is really viable. Keep an eye on your map, sweep areas, collect clams and send those to teammates that are close to obtaining 10 clams. Start smashing the "this way" button, then body guard that guy in to the basket.

Takes about 10 years to find a S+ game on cb. Sad

I enjoy using the Inkbrush. Just dash in and Yoink Le Lower Clam, throw it in, and leave before I can get touched.

I can confirm that the Baller is amazing to make pushes, that's how i always open the area to score points (i don't know how i'm doing amazing in Clam Blitz with the Slosher Deco)

I very nearly won a 3 V 4 battle just now in clam blitz (the 4th player on my team disconnected right at the start). I can't believe we didn't win. I've always wanted to win a 3 V 4 battle. It was SO DAMN CLOSE! I would be very proud of myself if I won a 3 V 4.

I also feel like tents missles are good for clam blitz. If the opponent wants to play defensive if your in their base, then the missles will most likely push them even further back. And if they decide to attack, then the team would be able to kill them easily since they’ll probably take chip off damage. I use the splat dualies cuz it requires the least amount of points to get the special. I also use it because it can be used a a support weapon to a certain extent and a offensive weapon

Idk if it's already been said in comments further down, but if your using the baller with clams in toe, upon exploding the ball you will loose your clams

You need 1 more special tenta missles Ruins oppoments defence positions and applies pressure

Personally , I believe that players don’t support the person with the power clam enough in A rank , you have the odd person who will go with him , but mostly they’re looking for clams , then the power clam holder is killed.

I really do think one weapon that has a lot of potential in this game mode is the tenta brella with its big bulky brella and bubble blower is a real defensive weapon sadly when I try to use it my teammates don't realize this but oh well

Tenta brella is the best weapon for clam blitz perfect for defense and offense you can stop a whole team if you are tactical with bubbles plus brella= Atomic Bomb

I play defense with the custom e liter and on blackbelly i hid a beaken near their goal and i defended and grabbed clams a bit and when my teammates would kill their players i would super jump to the goal and score clams and then back to being a goalie

I've reached S sometimes S+ because of your videos they do help hope I get to play against you or with you your awesome

Vanilla slosher is good on some maps that have more walls and verticallity.

My tactic is to pass clams to my teammates since I am support not attack guy.

I think the best weapon for this mode is custom hydra splatling for its ink mine, ink amour, and the main. this is trash on offense but it is a killer for defensive phase

Hey fellow Srb2Dude viewers. I have a question that's been on my mind for a while, what mains do you use on your gear? I always use 3 main savers, because I like using a weapon that justifies a set rather than a set that justifies a weapon. What gear do you use?

What about blasters? I find myself using rapid blaster and its been good for both pushing and defending.

I Play clams like tdm ie I go for raw splats. So my team can do what they need to do.

I personally don't like clam blitz when I play it I'll usually play for like 30 minutes then stop because I keep losing I reached A- but its really hard to stay alive I'm an S+ in tower control,rainmaker,splatzones but not clam blitz but because I watch this video I'm going to follow what you said the routes but the problem is solo is so hard with clam blitz but thank you for making this video I'll practice what you said
