English version is out, its not rig just 2 new maps, maybe not every s1 stage will be ported after all Inkjet challenge says Inkjets for everyone so it may be varied

This update looks good, but I feel like for the 1 year anniversary it may be a bit underwhelming, im not sure though but that’s just what I see at a first glance. Edit: So I know that more stuff has been revealed since the making of this comment, and yeah, some of its pretty good, like big run and splatfest, but I still think some stuff is underwhelming for a 1 year update.

I think it could be that plus being a lightweight with faster run speed and jump height while firing compared to other splatlings, in which case tacticooler would be perfect for it.

It looks to me like it paints below the shots. Look closely at the scene where it shoots the dynamo. It doesn't shoot the ground, but still paints it. I don't think that's a normal splatling thing, is it?

Next season we’ll get a new Brella (main weapon) I know I know, I sound crazy. Let me explain: Chill season: three new main weapons which are the first three weapon classes. Sizzle season: two new main weapons which are the weapon classes that were considered another in the previous games. Drizzle season: two new main weapons which were from the weapon classes added in DLC Splatoon 1. This means next season well get a new dualie and a new Brella! :D (They’re adding main weapons in the order of how the classes were added. They just want every class to have a new weapon) I know, it’s dumb. But this is how Nintendo wants to do things :(

Honestly there should’ve been 2 kits for every weapon at launch except for the new ones. It’s the third game, so the devs should’ve already had a pretty good idea of what goes well with what by now.

While I do think this is a little underwhelming for the 1 year anniversary, they may be holding the BIG GUNS for winter/Christmas season to get more eyes on the game. Just a theory since a lot of games have pretty big updates around that time.

Unfortunately at the rate they are doing kits. It looks like we won’t be getting any 3rd kits until after the initial 2 year support for the game, if we get them at all.

At the current rate it likely wouldn’t even be enough to finish 2nd kits unless they just start dumping a bunch at a time, especially with new weapons being introduced. Also seems pretty unlikely we’ll see any new weapons added to the stringer/Splatana classes outside of just the two already at launch, considering new weapons might stop being made soon just to get 2nd kits finished before the end of support date.

Honestly, unless there's something MASSIVE that they're saving for a surprise, I find this update incredibly underwhelming for the game's one-year anniversary. Yeah, most of the content is looking good, but there's just so little of it. I was hoping that the lack of content in earlier updates was because they were saving things to do a big anniversary update, but this is even _less_ content than we got in previous seasons. Only 2 new weapons, only 8 new kits (which is insane, they're literally just reskins), 2 new pvp maps and 1 new SR map (which arguably aren't even good ones), one new small feature, 2 new challenges (which we might not even be able to play for another 2 months) and... That's pretty much it. I *want* to be hyped for this update, but I just can't when there's so little content coming.

I really want to know what the new octocbrush set is. You can only see it’s inktank in the rainmaker segment with the checkpoint being broken (not the one before that, that’s a different weapon) and it looks 60 or below but I can’t tell.
