Pro Player Reacts To SPLATOON 3 RELEASE DATE AND GAMEPLAY 

Yes I know the date is September I was v tired, analysis tomorrow there's a lot to look at, good news is almost all of it looks good.

Few small things I noticed: 1. Stephanie’s title on their card at the beginning mentions “Man-o’-Wardrobe Big Spender”, indicating the name of Splatsville’s clothing shop, and that the titles are likely unlocked by achieving certain milestones 2. Lil’ Judd looks scruffy and dirty at the end, possibly because of Splatsville’s sandy environment, possibly because of some effect of the cloning process that made him, maybe because that isn’t the Lil’ Judd from Splatoon 2 3. The name cards at the beginning have 4 digit numbers written in the lower left hand corner, written in Arabic numerals, so they’re obviously meant to convey information to the player and aren’t just decoration. It’s probably an identification so that you can bypass the hassle of navigating friend requests and make playing with your friends easier

About the bow, it appears that, when you full charge it or something like that is able to shot the ink arrows and later those ink arrows explode in a very small area, its like a hybrid between a blaster and a charger, very cool feuture that is going to make it very interesting imo

The fact that the ink-bow can essentially shoot timed explosives (on a full charge) makes me extremely hyped for the heavy version of the weapon

Did anyone see the beacon at the center of the big bubbler? It's a nice shield that holds ground for the user, but could also have nice synergy with teammates trying to make a push.

I was worried that the game would be boring on launch but it looks dope as hell, can't wait to play

pro has point sensor as its sub but they changed it so its more like a high velocity dart over being like a bomb

I thought crab tank would be weak, but with it's range it seems decent. Killer whale will DEFINITELY get some buffs. Inkstrike launcher honestly looks amazing I hope it gets some good kits

1:52 If you look inside the big bubbler’s centre, you can see a squid beakon inside. Seems you’ll be able to jump to it. Edit: ALSO at the start of the match, there seems to be ink armour for a few seconds, and since it’s not like you’re gonna die in the first 3 seconds, it seems like you get invincibility frames after you respawn. Neat!

I'm pretty sure the sub that splattershot pro had is a reworked point sensor, as you can hear it locate the bow at the start. Ngl it looks really cool. Also the vacuum special makes me worry a little, it looks really strong at the moment

Okay things I wanna say: 1. Oh my god this game looks so fun. I literally started screaming when I saw the Inksrike Rush thing that looks SO FUN!! 2. I love how every single special we've seen so far works on every weapon type. Ofc more aggressive ones like Zipcaster still work with long range weapons as the only time limit is your ink tank, but long range weapons such as the Inkstrike Rush thing and the Killer Wail no longer lock you in place when using them, so you can still be super aggressive and use them on short range weapons which is great! It doesn't look like we'll get another Splashdown on Hydra Splatling in this game (at least so far) 3. Okay my friend pointed something out and I thought they were wrong at first but after tons of inspection they seem to be right: The base of Big Bubbler seems to have a Beakon attached to it now??? Like I thought maybe it was just placed in the same spot but it's definitely attached to the base in the middle and the base rotates along with it... so I'm very confused, I wonder what this means??

I can't wait to pre-order Splatoon 3 and have that Splatoon 1 nostalgic feel again. IM SO HYPED

the bow thing isnt a sub buts like more of a main weapon. It shoots a shot and then it leaves 1 2 or 3 small bombs that explode after

Another thing to note is that the Slosher Inkling had both glasses and a viking helmet. So that means that either they are both one piece of headgear, or we can choose to wear glasses as a customization option.

This really feels like it’s reviving that special chaos of Splatoon 1, I’m so hyped for the upcoming madness! Man, imagine if Aerospray gets some really funny kits. That would just make me happy. I wanna Zipcast around and spam Burst Bombs.

3:27 I was really worried if the inkstrike was going to be added (meaning revamped) or not, but the new inkstrike looks really cool! :)

Soooo... specials look cool but I am lowkey worried about the vacuum lol. If it sucks up any ink that means you can shield teammates WHILE MOVING and after a bit just... deliver a big attack? I'm gonna have to assume it doesn't absorb EVERYTHING otherwise it's just a better big bubbler thing???

I was so confused at first but after rewatching-I LOVE THE VACUUM WEAPON I was so shook it’s like a reflector almost and the Splat Bow actually shoots 3 arrows that act like mini bombs and if they land directly they kill but if they miss they’ll stuck to the ground and explode shorty after like a bomb (3:19) and Mini INKSTRIKES are so dope bro I honestly cannot wait and the victory screen?! Was not expecting that

This actually looks fun, along the lines of the chaos that was splatoon 1. Based purely off of the specials, its looking like well be gling into a game that focuses on more than long range weapons. Thank god.

5.1 looks…kinda weak now that we got a better look at it. The tracking doesn’t seem to be that fast and it’s very thin, meaning it’s probably incredibly easy to avoid. Tri-Zooka, Zipcaster, Crab Tank, still look good. It’s been brought up that the Big Bubbler has a beacon inside it meaning it’s possible that you can jump to it…that’s certainly interesting. Love the Inkstrike Launcher and the Vacuum looks really cool as well…I just hope it’s balanced correctly. Aside from that, the subs appear to be directly lifted from Splatoon 2 sans the new iteration of the point sensor which appears to have been changed for the third game now and “seems” to be more useful. All in all I’m fairy excited

Whail will need some serious damage in order to not be weak. Not too sure on the vacuum special, inkstrike launcher looks awesome tho. Also, that mysterious sub is the bow firing.

So... - Titles for players and medals on the win screen, cool - Win screen giving everyone time on the spotlight, and it looks real nice - This is Eeltail Alley, the map from the previous trailer, it says so at the beginning. They definitely changed this map, it's a LOT more narrow. Honestly, looks kinda small, hopefully this isnt Walleye 2.0. - Music is DOPE - Intro Animation for the Brush and Roller were different! FINALLY, they're separate! Are we finally getting more then 2 brushes?! - Splattershot Pro has a new point sensor that is like a marker? arrow? that leaves a tracking trail? Maybe if it hits someone dead on it does damage? Hopefully its finally a great sub rather then "yeah I guess it has point sensor". - INKSTRIKE LAUNCHER HOLY YES INKSTRIKE WAS MY FAVORITE! I will say though, being able to just throw 3 ink strikes with no vulnerability or charge time or anything seems... really strong. It cant go anywhere on the map anymore, but still. - That Vacuum Special feels like it was made as a bomb spam/other special counter or to nerf fast painting weapons (SHOOTERS). But it also seems like it just doesnt let people play the game/gives your team free moveable defense unless the vacuum gets ambushed and taken out. Also it attacks at the end? - The number of arrows the bow fires seems to depend on charge time? and they stick to surfaces and burst after being fired, which is nice. - You can still be hit on the crab tank while firing, but not while rolling? That's pretty vulnerable. - Bow had something that looks a lot like toxic mist... let's hope they buffed it... - According to the Splatoon Twitter, bows are called "Stringers", and the one we've seen do far is called "Tri-Stringer" - Big Bubbler seems to have health? Or maybe the more you hit it, the duration lowers? It seems like you have to hit the helicopter thing though? - Big Bubbler also has a Beakon, so you have free safe super jumps to it. - The vacuum special... seems like it could very easily stall zone, especially if covered by shield/defended by a teammate. The big blast at the end could also be very good at defending zone even more. It can also make everyone on Tower defenseless by sucking up all their attacks, then killing everyone on there with the blast. If it can absorb the rainmaker shots, it can stop a Rainmaker push by itself by just standing in front of the rainmaker, then firing the big shot at them. What if it can suck up clams in clam blitz, and stop the other team from scoring?! I'm real worried about this special... - I am really concerned about big bubbler on Splat Zones. Pop shield on zone, enemy team cant paint, but you can hit them. Also your entire team can safely jump to zone thanks to Big Bubbler. If you can deploy Big Bubbler on Tower, that free points, and your team can jump to Tower safely. If you can cover the clam basket, you literally just dont allow the enemy team to score. Or putting it on the Rainmaker pedestal (or heck, just on the rainmaker path) instantly stalls or stops a push. Or even worse, what if you can TRAP THE RAINMAKER IN THE SHIELD. I am very worried about this special, it seems like it could very well be game breaking. - Wail 5.1 looks... weird. It locks on to people in front of you? But then it moves with you for a little bit before stopping? And it seems like it does very little damage? And it lasts like, 2 seconds? Please, please, PLEASE dont be Splashdown 2.0... - I checked the JP site, and I dont know how accurate the translation is, but the site said something about squid roll reducing or mitigating damage. Oh no. That's all I gathered. I am excited! Though a bit worried about these specials... also a bit bummed out by early September release, that so far still... oh well.

from the looks of it I would feel as if this is some gameplay they recorded a while back, but either way I am excited to play the third game once I get it

bow totally has two firing modes. It changes from sideways to vertical when you are in midair, just like flicks on roller. Want to spray an opponent's feet? Stay grounded and do a wider less precise shot. Want to land a line of pellets all on on enemy for a cheeky charge kill? Jump and take the shot!

The vacuum special is almost an exact replica of a comment someone else put on one of your special design videos. I love it, even though it looks like a bit more of a frontline-midline special

I just noticed, right about at 4:00. We hear the same armor sound from the salmon run trailer, and this time the inkling *doesn't* seem to take damage. Guess that armor sound was in there for a reason!

1:51 I could be wrong, but I think that the big bubbler shrinks/decays over time because it gets smaller after the person shooting it got splatted. Also, it shrinks again a second later.

I am totally preordering this. I mean I had my mind made up on it anyway but this looks amazing

4:27 Wail 5.1 is "press one button", auto aim, use your main weapon and fires six lasers. It HAS to be weak. I think the damage output will be similar to rain, making it more a strategical special to move your enemies.

at 2:49 the indicator for the place zipcaster falls is different from the one of inkjet showed in the trailer, they maybe changed it or inkjet is probable to be in splatoon 3

I haven’t seen anyone mention how squid roll will probably be executed (which buttons to press). And I’m fairly certain you execute it like how you would perform a sideflip in mario games; by quickly switching direction with the left stick and pressing jump

i think that sub is a skillshot projectile point sensor, you see them throwing it out and missing

There seem to be a short time frame when you glow after spawning maybe it’s invincibility stage to prevent spawn camping.

I think the mystery sub is like a new version of the Point Sensor that creates a sort of "tripwire" that marks all enemies that touch it.

Not what I was expecting to see about S3, but it's still definitely a very welcome trailer. I'm guessing we'll get the big info dump on June, maybe a week or two after the usual June Nintendo Direct. Anyway, I'm so happy Inkstrike is back, I always loved Splatoon having its own tactical nuke. And don't you dare mention Bubble Blower. I'm kinda sad that Inkjet is probably not coming back considering Zipcaster took its recall function, but honestly Inkstrike alone is enough to get me hyped. All the specials look so darn fun, although I still don't know how Wail works exactly. I thought it was only going to aim in a single area? Oh well, I really want to play some Trizooka or Inkstrike. Also, the Tri-Stringer looks like such a cool weapon, I'll definitely be giving it a shot. Very happy with what was shown, it all looks fantastic. But I still need to see more, so my Splatoon fangirl screams will have to wait.

Here's everything new I gathered from this gameplay: I'm pretty sure the sub Chara was confused about is a reworked point sensor. It seems to now go in a straight line very quickly like a charger in exchange for a smaller hit box, and if you look closer at 1:41 you will see that the point sensor will go away if the person who threw it dies. The vacuum special seems to block/suck up ink only from the front, and has it be vulnerable from the back and the sides. I'm also quite confident that the tri-inkstrike has a significantly faster deployment time than Splatoon 1 in exchange for a smaller range and duration for all three. However, I don't think the damage has decreased as both people that died to it got absolutely shredded within a split second. I also love the way you use it, with subs marking the location. The Killer Wail 5.1 seems to be weird. It follows the player until it fires, and I'm pretty sure it follows people that were in the range when the special was activated really fast (4:02), but after those targets die it locks onto other people extremely slowly (3:32). Bow (Slinger class) seems to only have a small damage bomb when charged to the second level, and it also seems to damage people without directs as when the bow passed over the crab tank user's head it damaged him/her, then damaged him/her again with the detonation of the same shot. Big Bubbler decreases in size when the shield gets shot at and also decreases faster when the weak spot at the top is shot. Also it might act as a squid beacon as well as the centre seems to be one (1:51), so safe superjumps in aggressive teamfights would be a thing. Zipcaster starts decaying upon activation which was obvious but I would have really liked to freely use the special without keeping decay in mind. Respawns are always mid-air now (Look far back at 3:08) so the grounded spawns are probably there to pay homage to previous titles or were scrapped. ALSO WHY DO YOU HEAL SO FAST WHEN YOU ROLL IN THE CRAB TANK (might just be because of timing but if so that's cracked). Also. Only Booyah and This Way. Damn it.

Ya zipcaster was made for the close range weapons like brush or roller they can have trouble closing the distance but this help then close that distance

I don't know if this will be updated, but for some reason, there is currently a couple of tweets that are on Nintendo's UK Twitter account, but not the American one. One of them shows off what seems to be more character customisation, and the other gives us the name for the new weapon, specifically calling it the tri-stringer, which pretty much confirms that there's more stringer class weapons.

My take on the Killer Wail is they' tried to design it so players have to use it agressively. If you just sit in the back and deploy it, it'll be easily dodgeable, but at least can force some movement. But see how quickly it deploys and how quickly you can use your weapon after it deploys, as well as how it follows you for a bit? That tells me you can use it right before initiating a fight and let it help you add that much extra pressure on your target. Dodging this Wail on its on may be easy, but dealing with it and its user trying to kill you? I think that will be pretty useful, and I like that it fits the more aggressive tempo this game seems to be going for

The little bombs that you can use multiple of each of is the arrows from the bow

You get ink armor as you launch out of the coffee machines, you get it for about 5 seconds I noticed this right at the beginning, the center of the player shines and the armor effects are seen swirling around the player.

The sub weapon seems to be a long range point sensor that only tracks one player (maybe it can do dmg maybe not i didnt see). But it goes in a straigt line leaving a curling smoke trail.

I looked at the sub weapon that you did not know what it did and If you look at it either is like echolocator or disruptor and it is confirmed squid roll and surge have invincibility frames. I am so excited though, I can't wait!!!!

I can’t wait to use zipcaster, and it seems like the developers actually put thought into the kits

at 4:24 it looks that out of the six total wail rays, 2 follow each target, depending on how many enemies you can lock onto it seems?

So it looks like when you land on The stage after spawning you have a little bit of ink armor probably to prevent you from dying as soon as you land

I’m pretty sure teammates can super jump to the invincible bubble special because u can see a beacon in the middle of it

OH CHARA! I realized the Pro at the start shows that weird line sub! It's a reworked point sensor! It shoots like a tag instead of a deployable ball, the stats on it are probably different too.

I think the sub is new point sensor. I heard the sound effect when it hit the bow, and a flashlight icon makes sense because you’re “searching” for the opponent I’m not sure how this makes I better tho... you have to aim
