I have splints because I have a lot of problems with curling and for me it has gotten worse instead of better with time. I wear AFOs and Velcro boots but I try to go without them sometimes to protect myself from skin breakdown because I have had issues with it and had to go to the Wound Clinic for treatment. And sometimes if I want to be like people who are not like we are I wear regular shoes for no reason except that I want to do something other people do and not just what I need to do. I never wear socks and only compression socks when needed. I thought I was the only one who went barefoot.
