This is the story of how I got the splits within about a thousand hours of training. This wasn't very proper training though and I think everyone can reach it way sooner than in those 1000 hours!

wilsonseto1 I totally understand your feeling, I quit my training while I was aiming for the Planche as well. The training is just too stressful and I actually don't like what I am doing. Anyway, I got back to my training now, and I just do the things I already can do, and enjoy the training. I do set goal for myself, but that is a lifetime goal and not something to achieve within 1 or 2 years, and I love what my training. Maybe you can try it too =)

Those karate kicks, so alpha! ;) I'm trying to do the splits, I'm so inflexible. Still trying though!

Just looking at your body weight exercise series just wondering if they’d be good for a fighter

Will the splits be harder to perform the older we get? I'm 33.

Definitly yes but still possible, I started stretching at 33 yo without focusing on splits and one day I made it.

I think the ideal way is to have flexibility and strength at the same time rather than separate. If you can't hold one leg up in a side split without pain and strain then it doesn't make much sense to just stretch and hope that goes away or to just do oblique/quad exercises and hope you become strong enough to keep it up (which you won't because your inner thigh and hamstrings will still cry). You really need a full body routine for it.

I am impressed with your flexibility and the way you split. As a 60-year-old person can I still do a perfect split and be flexible?
@JeromeFitness
@JeromeFitness 2 года назад
Theoretically you can, but it does take way more effort than if you are younger and it won't always work. Train safely and take your time for it. I have lots of flexibility videos you could use for it.

Maybe it is time for your channel to make a change, bro...sometimes , too much videos on the same topics is kind of hard for viewer to push that button to watch...
@JeromeFitness
@JeromeFitness 6 лет назад
Probably yes, but what would you suggest as a viewer though?

JeromeFitness Man, you got me, that's the question I have been asking myself 😂 Actually, I found your channel some years ago while I was looking for Bruce Lee workout, and that video you made is amazing man. And you actually look like a martial artist guy. As a viewer, I think the content of the video should be unique and have something new to offer. (But that's the hard part, unless there are several direction on the same theme). Being a RU-vid sure is not easy, hope you will find a way out =)

Would be amazing if you could find someone who is new to flexibility and make videos helping them through problems they might have. I realize it creates some difficulties since you would have to find someone willing and able who also (preferably) speaks English. They don't have to speak English, but then there would be more work with subtitles and other jazz. It could be a subscriber from your region, or simply someone you coach (I guess you can make an add in a new paper or something similar). The videos I learn the most from is videos where we get to see people spot and teach someone directly. Applying their knowledge to someone who doesn't have that knowledge. It might seem like the same kind of content, but that person might have some interesting questions that are hard to put into youtube comments. For me it's hard to see what I'm doing on my own, but when I see someone teach fitness on to someone else it seems to give some more insight. I can do front splits, but side splits are still ways off for me (I'm 31, but have a lot of martial arts training so my flexibility is not bad. The last bid of middle/side split is tricky because I've been injured 15 years ago).

@@JeromeFitness why not just other areas of fitness. I'll be honest. Don't know much about your channel other than SPLITS. But the name of your channel is JEROME FITNESS. Emphasis on the word "fitness." So create more content on fitness stuff.

Why tf does he have so little views?

A lot of competition from people who do this full time I guess. I just do it as a hobby mostly

Life is good for nothing, so basically all time we spend is wasted and pointless in itself.
