It’s interesting to think the Jabberwalk was effectively the first proto-grimm. And it gives some context as to why the grimm pools are found throughout the god of darkness’s domain. In the end he was still unwilling to fully give up on that one creation
@@j.t1221 That isn't really a theory. We are literally shown that here... The darkness pools is something that was already mentioned before, so we about them being in His domain. Now we just have context as to WHY they were there in the first place.
Well we have some conformation of a few things: 1. Jaune returned to his normal age with some character development 2. Little was reborn and is now the new protector/guide of the Ever After 3. Neo has set out to find he new purpose in life 4. And Team RWBY and Jaune have returned to Remnant to continue where they started.
Yeah... and Jaune isn't a fan of his young squeaky voice anymore. Neo being given a 2nd chance instead of being in hatred is what she really needed. She needed the tea more than Ruby, then again, can't think of anything good when in anger. It's good to know that the Tree always has ways, and it's good to know the RWBY can always move forward, no matter the developments
The Blacksmith might have just revealed the key to saving Remnant from the wrath of the brothers. As she explained, what the brothers are lacking is the understanding that they need to have more love and patience for their creations, to see their journey through to the end. Cause the GoL gave Ozma a rather impossible task. Sure, humanity can be united and might not be demanding blessings from the gods. But as life goes on, new generations will exist, and new individuals may not share the same sentiment. It's ultimately asking for perfection from humanity forever, but that kind of notion would strip humanity of their free will. And while I won't defend what Salem did, the GoL should not have simply been trying to give Salem a lesson on the importance of life and death, but instead talk to her on a more emotional level, understanding what she is suffering. Maybe create some animal companion to aid her in recovery.
You really spoke what was on my mind there. I won’t defend Salem either, but she spent nothing but a life of suffering. First under her father, then by having her chance at happiness taken away cruelly by an incurable sickness with the Brothers stubbornly defending their actions, then said Brothers making her suffer even more with the curse of immortality and solitude, and then having having them inadvertently make the only person she loved and trusted betray her over their threat in destroying the world. Not to mention until now, the main cast treated that life as if was an arbitrary sob story for a classical villain from a fairy tale. If they realize her suffering and understand exactly why she’s gone to great lengths to find any kind of happiness (and for the Brothers, instead of treating humanity as an experiment), everything would’ve gone very different. Plus, it shows the Brothers have no right to teach anything about balance if they’ve done nothing but disrupt said balance themselves. And when they to create balance, they FORCE it, which prompted more resistance like with Salem. As the blacksmith said, balanced cannot be forced, it only works when it occurs naturally, and even now, they still haven’t learned that.
@@Raiden7284677 Also, while I can try to understand the lesson the GoL tried to force Salem to learn, and even the GoD's destruction of humanity after what they did, I really felt that what they did with Ozma was beyond messed up. They brought him back, killed them, brought him back again, only to kill him again, was just horrible. For both Salem and Ozma both. Ozma had to be brought back only to die again twice more. And Salem had to watch it all happen. Definitely traumatizing really. When I saw the brothers fight over the Jabberwalker, I felt like I was watching Ozma all over again.
@@0axis771 The GoL is a way to self-righteous, I won't argue that. But it doesn't change the fact that Salem's self-entitlement and refusal to admit her faults is the true reason behind her suffering, not the Brothers. They told her how to break her curse, but she's still on the warpath thousands of years later because her refusal to fulfill the one and only requirement led to her stupidity jumping into the Grimm Pool and then try to find a loophole in her curse. As for Oz's impossible task, he himself made it impossible by seeking Salem out AGAINST the GoL's warnings. That being said, I'm pretty sure Salem's plan is doomed to fail...again. The GoL told Ozpin that if he brought the Relics together, the Humanity will be judged. And since Jinn and Ambrosius, creations on the GoL, always seem to function on Exact Words, Salem doing it instead won't yield the result she wants.
@@Kovugamez Oh, I will always agree that Salem is the one that chose to be a horrible person when they literally gave her an out. My issue is that the gods reviving and killing Ozma was...pretty messed up. If I saw my loved one revived, killed, revived again, only to die again by the whims of the gods, I might hate them as well. It's a really traumatic thing.
So I think there's something interesting about the Blacksmith's reaction to Jaune's question about what happened to Alyx. There was a moment of surprise and then when you think about Alyx's wish to fix things, it's possible that she became the Blacksmith to fix the things that had been broken. She had been waiting for Jaune to arrive for a long time, which is curious because why would she have been waiting for him specifically? Also there was a sense of regret when she was talking about the betrayal of the Curious Cat.
I think Alyx became Pyrrha. The "regret" the Blacksmith had when talking about the Curious Cat was probably pity, since she had to watch the cat suffer, along with Jaune.
@brainflash1 I like this theory alot and I kinda hope that is true but at the same time I kinda hope the tree is alex as well XD volume 9 of RWBY finally made me feel like I was watching the first 3 volumes all over again.
@@brainflash1 I'm gonna have to say that probably can't be possible because Pyrrha has a mom/aunt in their world who looks like an older version of her that was there when the team looked at her statue. Pyrrha had to have popped out of her or someone related to her.
@@sharifbrown3567 Why would that make it impossible? Ruby had the chance to go back and become her own mother, and I'm pretty sure Summer wasn't an immaculate conception.
Given we have a city that is probably-Vacuo/Shade Academy (I don't think they've mentioned the name of the actual capital in Vacuo....) with a bunch of Atlas airships over it, chances are it is they-are-really-going-to-wish-they-had-another-week o'clock.
Another cool thing is that voicing the Blacksmith made Kimlinh Tran interested in checking out the whole series, so she can gain context for everything building up to the scenes she recorded for. What an impact, gaining a new fan in a voice actor recruited in Year 10.
On a side note, send the Brothers, too, once this is done. In the end, it is really THEY who need a lesson about balance, NOT Salem. As the blacksmith said, balance isn’t obtained FORCEFULLY but NATURALLY.
The brothers at this moment seem more like children then actual gods. They don’t have patience or understanding to know what balance is. They could have understood why salem was like the way she was when she met them. She was hurting. But they treated her like she was beneath them. Abd when they didnt like how she couldn’t learn her lesson. They left her with immortality with no way to see her love. I see that more as like a parent taking away a artist drawing pad as they never did what they wanted. It doesn’t fixes the problem. It only makes it worse.
@@tonyemmerson2376 I think it should’ve been clear that the better option would’ve been to help reunite Salem with her love, not in life though, but maybe in death instead. Also I’m not the only who’s thinking that the brothers will be the true final bosses that Team RWBY and their allies will need to defeat in order to free the world only after Salem has been dealt with first during the final volume, am I? Hopefully this will mean that the world will finally be free to make its own choices and decide its own fate without the influence of the brothers, don’t you agree?
I think I noticed something. At the end of volume 6 I noticed ruby’s eyes were more grey than silver. After she finds herself it seems (to me at least) her silver eyes have some back.
3:16 It seems like the Curious Cat was much kinder when he was young. And I guess he's not going to reincarnate because of Jabberwalkers` "erasing" ability
7:08 - This just goes to show how WRONG Ironwood was when he thought no one would help Atlas. Ruby's warning to the world created a coalition which Salem's gonna have a harder time dealing with. I assume she'll still win in Vacuo, but our heroes won't make it easy.
After one heartbreaking and hopeless trial after another since the unpleasant ending of Volume 7. Team Rwby have beaten the odds (overcoming their identity problems, excepting their failures from their time in Atlas, defeating a wicked villain and returning home to remnant) and received a happy ending at the finish of Volume 9. After all they've been through they've earned it. Now it's on to the Justice League x RWBY film, and then on to Volume 10.
I think they suit him. Mind you, the writers were debating on wether or not he gets de-aged. Thank “Gods” they declared he’s been through enough and earned his youth.
If i could feel any expression for the curious cat, It would basically be regret, since the hurt the cat felt was presumably due to when Alex had unfortunately left him and he had to take his hostility out on becoming the antagonist to Team RWBYJ.
I can imagine he was already feeling hurt because his creators basically abandoned him. He didn’t know what happened to them until Alyx (and Jaune) appear to fill in the details. Now he’s given this glimmer of hope. Perhaps he will meet his creators again and…that hope is now taken away. It’s no wonder he’s the villain
The Everafter and Tree is possibly the key to helping Salem. I think the question was all wrong “how do I destroy Salem” “how do we defeat Salem” so much focus on defeating, destroying, killing, winning etc. So much destruction…Something that isn’t quite their purpose. The answer was always there Salem just needs help and maybe the Tree in the Everafter can do just that. What good is summoning the Gods if they see that summoning them was all just Salems goal and not Ozma’s actions? What’s stopping the Brothers from punishing Salem more?
Even is Salem does get all 4 Relics and summons the Brothers back, I still think her plan will ultimately fail. The God of Light tasked OZMA to bring Relics together after he united Humanity. Given how the brothers and their creations (the relic genies) tend to abuse Exact Words fairly often, seeing that the condition for their return wasn't properly followed would just make them leave until Ozpin summoned them. And that's assuming they don't punish Salem again for not learning her lesson after several millenia.
Another Volume bites the Dust and what a way to top it off. * Ruby getting her spark back. * Neo choosing to change herself. * The origin of the Gods. * Jaune regaining his youth. * Vacuo getting the much-needed backup against Salem.
Four scenarios: 1) Sun feel sad but happy that Blake found happiness with Yang and remained friend. Sun will eventually find someone else. 2) Sun feel sad and heartbroken. His friendship with Blake will slowly die out. Sun become a bitter hermit sitting on a rocking chair whose legs doubled as nunchucks-staff weapon. 3) Sun feel happy but sad. His sad look make Blake feel conflicted and after talking to Yang, a 3 ways romance get formed requiring navigation in judgemental society. 4) Sun feel conflicted and later, decide to make himself more suitable in Blake's eyes. Thus challenging Yang in some form of comedy before Sun and Yang eventually realize how childish their competition sound so Sun concede and run after someone else who'll return his feeling.
Yeah give it another 4 years, we learn where she went, then another 5 and learn what was gonna happen, then just 3 years to see it. Because CRWBY really like keeping they're fans guessing for years and years
Light and dark. Good and evil. Salem and her inner circle against remnant. May the final battle begin. Only one side will walk away from the battle victorious.
6:16 Much as I like jaune regaining his young appearance, I can't help but be saddened that rooster teeth will forget all about his character development and he will just go back to being the laughable dork after being older in the Ever After for 20+ years. I am gonna miss this older jaune as I grew to love his new look and attitude
You know what could be interesting? If this experience causes Jaune to relate to Ozpin. Ozpin has lived multiple lives and now Jaune has had that same experience of gaining all the knowledge and struggles of an adult life, and now going into a second life with that knowledge. I really hope they explore that, it'd be an interesting character development for both of them.
@@amandajohnson3531 It would also help for Oscar and Jaune to bond as they both know what it's like. I read a fanfiction that stars Jaune trying to get used to his young body and adapt again but finds it really hard and ends up befriending Oscar when he finds out what jaune is going through
@@sonicspeedproductions2.04 That's true but this is rooster teeth we're talking about. I'm not holding out on hope for Jaune to keep his development but we will see
I wonder... what happens if the maidens go to the Ever After? More so, if some of them become someone else... would the power merely remain hidden there?
Another thing, did anyone notice the figurine on tthe table by the right side. It's separate from the rest. Its on the part where the blacksmith waved goodbye
I think this will be the day’s lyrics tells the all story In time, your heart will open minds A story will be told And victory is in a simple soul The victory is beating salem, just a simple soul which is lost in the darkness And heart will open minds like talking to salem will open her brain and make her realize what she has been doing You want a romantic life A fairy tale that's full of charm These lines are also about salem how she desired her love, a fairy tail, a happy ending The all story is about salem and ozma what happened to them but there is a point that we should be careful about why is this story about rwby too? Why did we watched 9 seasons about these girls specially ruby. What happed to summer snd why is this very important in the story?
I've got it in my head that Osma asked the wrong question. The question shouldn't have been "How do I defeat Salem?" it should have been "How do I heal Salem?" True, there is a possibility that what has been broken can't be truly fixed, but if there was a way I would love to see what it could be.
I was hoping they would of unlocked some sort of divine power from the blacksmith to stop Salem cause now what? Salem is still immortal unless rubys accession gave her a new power then I don’t see what else they can do
@@sonicspeedproductions2.04 ya but. She can still come back to life. So it won’t kill her permanently even if team rwby can somehow beat Salem no way they make it out without a death and her not reincarnating
@@sonicspeedproductions2.04 Salem is immortal unless she learns the value of life and death, and it a law of the universe created by the brothers. There is no killing Salem. The question is not "how do we stop/beat Salem?", it is "How do we save Salem?"
I don't know what's going to happen to stuff like Red Vs. Blue, but I'm sure someone will be willing to buy RWBY when RT goes down. Hoping for the best for this cool show.
l know your bound to be confused after years of not watching, First it was the school than something about the 4 maidens, than the mother of grimm, now this. and yes its been years but It feels like their just trying to evolve the story, make it more complicated than it needs to be. what happaned to them just becoming hunters?
So when if one living thing dies it will be reborn again with new life and repeat over and over again to continue the cycle for eternity until the end of time and reset again.
I hope that they will give us a early Confirmation Announcement for RWBY's Volume 10 Anime TV Series even if it's another three whole Year's before we're going to finally get to see it return to us again for RWBY Volume 10 From Rooster Teeth Aniamtions Studio's!
According to Kerry Shawcross, the development of Volume 10 was basicaly confirmed when they teased their partnership with Crunchyroll. Which possibly means that the partnership is final and they are just finishing the details.
There's hope yet. People say there are potential candidates to buy RWBY's intellectual property. Like Crunchyroll, A24 and Dillon Goo. We just have to play the waiting game to find out and hope for the best in the meantime.
It's the capitol city of Vacuo - the supposed "final stand" against Salem's forces. As to when - people did math and it's approximetly 2 weeks after they left.
